He devised a system based on ball movement, off the ball movement and screens to exploit his great shooters and it broke the league for a while. It shouldn't be surprising when his system explicitly designed to exploit having two or more great shooters on the floor stopped working once two or more great shooters were no longer on the floor.
We'll find out soon what he can accomplish with a less talented roster and a whole offseason to prepare.
