Where I live, everybody watches baseball, but not everyone watches football or basketball. Football is more popular in the south and midwest. The Yankees and Mets get much more support than the other NY sports teams, and are more talked about. Also when they play each other, people actually notice, unlike when the Jets and Giants play or when the irrelevant Knicks and Nets do.
