The difference is still immense in basketball. Players on the girls team at my university was top 10 in the nation and they would come to open gym and get demolished by random guys. Sure some of them can shoot the ball, but it doesn't matter when the gulf in athleticism means they can't get by you or create space for a shot. They are slow, weak, and can't jump which really hinders them. Women's basketball is a plague.
