USA vs Japan navy

Why is it that the IJN was a superior navy force before the USA came into the war .

But as soon as the USA joins the war ; the Japanese begin to lose naval battles , air dogfights , and become Useless and obsolete a year after the USA joins the way? They lost in Java sea, midway, and guadcanel

What went wrong? Because it seems to me that the IJN didn’t know what they were doing .
How is it That a war experienced navy and airforce have so many casualties compared to the US navy and airforce ?

Were they just that weak ?

What if you lost weight

Should've invested more into u-boats.

US had air superiority and the jap admirals were not used to fighting such an advanced nation

American ships are good because they have to carry big weight americans asses.

They lacked anime at that time

Memes.
IJN was ahead in carrier stuff, namely in terms of organization and tactics, but USN weren't idiots either and followed the trends. It took time for USN to mobilize and losing half of their battlefleet at PH was a powerful morale blow.
USN was superior in every area though (ignoring "side" aspects like night fighting which were ultimately negated by technology) and Japanese retarded shit like keeping pilots flying until they die only aggravated their inferiority.

The US had the industrial power to replace lost ships. Japan didn’t.

US numerical superiority played no role at Midway for example.
Japanese simply weren't as good as people think. They had success because they struck where their opponents were weakest.
For fucks sake they were slapped by post-purge Soviet Army. They bogged down in China.

They were fanatical and brave, and occassionaly smart, but that couldn't mask their deficiencies. Their fanaticism even created some. You had examples where units well-stocked with ammo still decided to charge with bayonets.

I just realized I'm on Yea Forums what the fuck

The US was superior in World War. That's about sums it all up.

The Japanese were winning naval battles before Midway.
The US had a lot of luck during Midway + they could decrypt Japanese messages which was vital for their victory.
Also many times the Japanese played it too safe. For example they stopped the Pear Harbour bombings early and they didn't pursue the Alaska invasion further when the could have.

Many reasons. The one you would find most pertinent would be their doctrine. IJN used the "decisive battle" doctrine where they sought to defeat the US force in smaller number of battles involving their most valuable ships (carriers, battleships, etc). This left them vulnerable and eventually they lost too many irreplacable assets.

Also, IJN submarines were not used properly. They had possibly the most advanced subs at the time, but they used them in supplementary role against large and well protected warships. What they should have done, is used them more for frequent and constant attacks on transports and commerce ships, like the germans did.

Also, because attrition. The war started with decent parity, but after american industry finally kicked into full gear we were churning out new fighters and high-tech equipment and eventually just overwhelmed them.

people here hate on this country but during that era we were unmatched. American spirit died with hippy dipshits.

war is a sport. Ironically much more of a sport than some actual "sports".

Japan had been at war since 1936. It’s amazing they lasted so long, and even more amazing they declared war on a world superpower, 6 years into that.

They were shit the entire war. They were stuck in China the entire time.

Propaganda my friend.

>WWII: based looney tunes with jingoistic themes, cartoon violence
>1960's: popular culture in pop songs and musicians.

The WWII looney tunes were insane. Watching them now feels so bizarre and foreign. In that time they were so brazenly racist and bugs and daffy were pure dickheads by social standards, but holy shit were they hilarious and effective.

Jap encryption was also completely solved by murricans.

The Japanese were too interestdled HURR HURRR MUHH HONA MUH HINA RESPEXT AND HONA HUUURR HURRRRRRRR JAPAN JAPAN

so USA just BTFO them naturally

Exactly they couldn't even get out of China which is like if Germany got stuck in Poland.

They were beating up the British until they got Stalingraded in India.

And they had no chance of beating USA.

There literally weren't enough Japanese people to effectively occupy China, it's simply too big. They could easily defeat the Chinese army, but you can't control a giant country of hundreds of millions with a few hundred thousand soldiers.

The UK did it with India

To this day, I'm still not sure what Italy's role was in the war.

Because of the japanese zero.
Check out this video, it literally explains everything you asked

#elite frogmen units. Look it up, other than that, nothing really.

>air dogfights
Thats because they made all of the experienced pilots kamikaze themselves

>I'm still not sure what Italy's role was in the war.
dragging the germans into a protracted North African war through sheer incompetence
