You know what he means, in team sports you rely on teammates and if you're not in the right team your chances of winning are slim to none, in F1 your vehicle and engineers are your teammates

The lack of parity in F1 is just too much for me. I tried getting into the sport when Vettel was dominating and it was just too damn boring. Plus cars 'arr rook same'.

Yes you rely on their skills. Your teammates aren’t using special shoes to give them hyper bounce allowing them to dunk or special enginereed back to the future soccer cleats that allow soneone to blast a ball at 300kmh. If someones vehicle in F1 has better acceleration, reaches top speeds faster, turns better, produces more downforce and has better traction, how are they not already at a large advantage?
