But I try to bang it to the right as most as I can. Usually it is fine. Agree on rear. Sometimes it wont go in. So I creep forward a little bit more and it gets in. kek A bit of a tsundere car.

They are the best and around here there's no garage with enough knowledge to prepare my car for the track, specially the Ring. First time I went to them was with my old GTI with Audi S3 aluminium front axle, KW v3 and some other mods. They gave it a setup that was just awesome. Ok, back then it wasn't Manthey, they were Raeder Motorsport then.

Did 9:10 min laps with half the track in the rain. 8:40 in dry weather.

Haven't timed the new car, yet. But the car feels awesome. I'd always recommend Raeder Motorsport which are now part of Manthey's street performance branch.

KW v3 suspension, good compromise for sporty street and alpine driving and the occasional track day. Should add stiffer sway bars for the track, though. But what I went there for, which was relatively cheap but priceless at the same time, was their suspension setup on the scales. Their garage masters are artists on the scales! The car is so well balanced now.

I mean it's 100% of savings before selling the Focus, which I expect to get at least €15,000 for (it's from 2017, 12,000km and the cheapest one I can find online from that year has 69,000km and is €17,000.)

There are a number of both of those, but none on the order of Manthey Racing and the Nurburgring. Closest internationally known race tracks would be Edmonton Airport (Indy), and Portland Int'l (Indy, old IMSA). Oh, and the old Vancouver Indy street course where that dude died.

The performance garages here are of dubious credibility. I think more than half of them are staffed by track rats and amateur racers, not a real professional racer's outfit. There have been a few pro racers claiming vancouver as home town in the last few years though. Scott Hargrove, the Dalai Llama, and Wei Lu (Jeff Segal's AM Ferrari GTE). Sure at least two of those are pay drivers, but still. Fingers crossed for Hinchcliffe and Wickens (after he gets healthy) for a Canadian pro line up in some series somewhere.

I live 500/550 km away from the Ring, in the next big city, people think racing is for idiots. Out here around the city there's nothing but nature and aggriculture. And then I find out that there's this one small Porsche garage behind a village gas station and that guy is one of the best weight balance/scales/suspension setup tuner in Germany. People from all over Europe visit him. You'll find next to nothing about him on the internet but if you go to regional Ralley races, everyone talks about his skills.

I was considering going to him, but he had a tight time table before a few races and it was faster for me to drive to the Ring.

Depending on the car, it's an incredibly complicated job to set up everything correctly. Just as an example, the new MX-5 have suspensions only rivaled by Porsche, according to Manthey. You change the lead(?) and it changes the stance, and so on. Then you look at a VW and it's all relatively easy but less fine.
