He was good for a few years don't get me wrong but the team he was in and his manager were phenomenal. Ronaldo, Tevez, Scholes, Giggs, RVP, RVN - the years with paired Saha were probably individually his personal best.
But his decline was advanced & prominent from 2010 onwards, no matter the hype you could see he was a mess physically, and was done by 2013. His Euro'12 & WC'14 were embarrassments yet he was still in his 20's

Off topic but FIFA 06 and FIFA 07 were such massive improvements on the frankly shite games that preceeded them. First time that FIFA was really comparable to PES although it would still be a few years before they finally became better, from FIFA 11 onwards

I loved FIFA 06-07, not just because they were somewhat better games but also the whole era of football with so many legendary players and great clubs. These days it's all Barca vs Real on default whenever you have friends over. I miss the days when teams like Arsenal and Inter were as good as any of them, and you had like at least 10 top top club sides with legendary players scattered over even "small" teams

Sneijder only had an amazing year in 2010 and was an absolute shitter for the rest of his career
