I love Lonzo because he has skills you can't teach, he will be DPOY material one day and probably make multiple all nba defensive teams. But I'm not sad that he is gone because he doesn't fit with Lebron's timeline, you are not winning any rings with your PG shooting 40% from the FT line. 5-6 years from now when he learns some fundamental skills he will be elite. It can work for both sides i think. For the Lakers it all depends on who they could put around Lebron and AD, personally I would not go after any of the bigger names and try to fill out a deep competitive roster rather than a top heavy roster.

And for the Pelicans depends on who they draft. We know Zion is special (his defense is off the charts at his size and speed) but alot hinges on the 4th pick. I would take DeAndre Hunter, he reminds me of a younger Kawhi Leonard. Then they have to turn around Lonzo Ball's career (keep him healthy, and develop his jumper). And Brandon Ingram is already a huge scoring threat they just have to figure out his health condition if they do then he might be the best player they get put of this haul.

The athleticism absolutely becomes a factor when you consider Lebron is the best player in the fast break and now for the 1st time since D-Wade he has a partner in crime.
