It certainly is the most emotionally dishonest.

Not first-wave, troglodytes

glam rock

What does this even mean

It’s just a buzzword don’t bother

More faggy and pretentious way of saying he doesn't like it

>le slow buildup = you must not feel anything now, you are emotionally calm
>le suddenly music starts getting louder = you must now feel slight excitement
>le epic heckin crescenderino hits = HOLY SHIT FEEL EMOTION FEEL EMOTION NOW!!!!!
Ad infinitum. Simply manipulative, dishonest hipster shlock.

Prog rock also plays with dynamics all the time and sounds neat, and yes, it also sounds epic, now go fuck yourself pretentious soifag.

>music tries to induce emotion
>it does so

>damn bro thats kinda normie shit bro lemme past le epic trollface 2.0 to prove you normies wrong

Why does classical and neoclassical never get shit for crescendos ?

Prog does it in interesting ways, though. It also relies on more than just one musical concept, unlike crescendo-core.
>One guy playing notes quietly and calmly
>Progressively more people play those notes/similar notes progressively louder
>The climax hits and now a bunch of people are playing those same notes very loudly
>Goes back to one guy calmly playing the notes for an outro

There's a very obvious difference between those two songs.

Maybe take a break from the computer, son

I mean yeah it’s kinda formulaic but Early GYBE does it actually very well with good chord progressions and interesting musical landscapes when you know what the point behind their music is, their most recent albums does the exact same thing but it fucking sucks

Both plays with dynamics in their own way, crescendos are cool and naturally induce us strong emotions, I literally don't see anything wrong with it. Also this

Crescendo-core doesn't play with dynamics. It uses one technique and never stops using it. And the technique is literally just quiet to loud.

There’s more to post-rock than crescendo-core. Tortoise is great

Glam rock is totally gay.

Not a goddamned thing.

This. Most first wave bands didn’t even identify themselves as post rock and were pretty based. The genre didn’t get stale until around the mid 2nd wave

>manipulative
damn this opinion is complex. what happened user? where did post-rock hurt you?

I have also seen t. quite a few times

This wall of noise is about to be a wall of fists if you keep talking shit about Post-Rock

This is music for football movies. Gay.

I only usually think of crescendocore stuff as artists and songs, where the build-up is fucking boring and the crescendo is the only interesting part of the song.
I think good post-rock makes every part of the song interesting to listen to.

There's some third wave bands that do some interesting stuff. 65DaysOfStatic comes to mind.

Though honestly they're mostly just becoming "IDM with guitars"

if you want the actual gayest music genre, then it'll have to be metal

you say that as if music has to use more than one technique or be more complicated to be good. where tf are you getting this idea from. just because it "only goes from quiet to loud" doesnt mean its bad. have more patience and try and understand it.
