I drove through Calgary once, is it a problem getting there on the far west part of town?

I don't actually live in Calgary, I live about an hour west of it. That being said, as long as you don't go at retarded times (rush hour, etc) you'll be fine

AAARRRGGGOOOOSSS

Supporting them mexilions and the mexgonauts

Hay un juego a la semana en mvs

Why doesn't the cfl expand to mexico yet

The absolute state of Ottawa rn, holy shit

canmore? mike?
think they'll start next year
doing the cba probably probably pushed it back

It is I, Mike...from Canmore

/buncsfan/ here, Go Stamps over there

Too soon, there has been talks to stablish yearly college games series between canadian and mexican teams and of using our league to send canadian players still lacking some development

that was his security guard
it must have been tiresome

Attached: rob_ford.jpg (1086x793, 86K)

I was thinking about a US package for expansion, 10 team to match
East; NY, Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Milwaukee
West; Seattle, Portland, SLC, St Louis
Can Mexico front ten locations for teams?
We can have a thirty team league for Summer

Also on our end there has been approaches by american football federations in other countries intrested in sending their top players to have a shot in the mexican league, mainly japan and brazil, an lfa draft in brazil could take place later this year, brazilian football has been reliant on México for some time with their national team being coached by mexican staff and several of their teams aswell

We might be withnessing the beggining of the true internarionalisation of north american gridiron and its being heralded by the mighty canadian/mexican alliance

not sure how much ottawa did a quick fix on offense or calgary's defense is missing it's losses
nfl didn't like cfl expansion last time, commissioners talk once a year
it gets weird with the toronto ownership wanting a nfl team so they have to play nice
even if it is too soon they'll still do it
they're having a (projected terrible) game in moncton this year
the raptors/leafs ownership own the toronto team, they wont mind sending a game elsewhere, they have a billion dollars

how do you like the cfl so far?
there's enough difference in rules that it isn't exactly the nfl
I find they work out better for undersized players and the cfl has easier access to a talent pool and the nfl doesn't want to poach every good player

Its familiar but different enough to go for different strategic approaches, having that much field and less downs makes them go for plays more flashy in nature, im liking it, deffinetly much more than Just a placeholder for watching before nfl /NCAA starts, wich admidetly was my first expectation of it

that's good
it's more known how the field and end zones are 10 yards longer, but the field being 12 yards wider affects play a lot more
there's stuff like one point rouges causing plays like this
I think the way players have to be more mobile on the bigger field mean that it would be easier to develop domestic leagues outside of america, it's easier to find linebackers who need to be 220 pounds rather than 250, most defensive players are one position lighter than nfl ones

former calgary stampeder dwayne johnson

Kek that looks like a rugby match, had noticed the wider field but hadnt given much thought to the players weight

big recovery by ottawa

If Calgary blows this I'm going to fucking scream

their losses tend to be ether at the beginning of the season before they gell, or after they've clinched top in the west
they don't have the same defense to bail them out like they used to

Even if the match is not good, it can pull some people, maybe not estadio azteca filling numbers, but a decent 30k crowd, still would wait some 2 seasons

schooners when

globalnews.ca/news/5376747/touchdown-atlantic-ticket-prices-high-sales-slow/

Uncertain

start screaming
those are for a game in moncton, 3 hour drive from halifax in a different province
schooners need federal and provincial funds for a stadium
there's a good chance the next Prime Minister's brother in law is a CFL player, it could change things

It's ogre, calgary shrekd

Is Halifax a NIMBY city?

Attached: 1556490988311.png (792x576, 146K)

I mean almost every city in Canada is filled with NIMBYs so you can assume Halifax is as well

If only the NFL was just as exciting as this

....nope..

Attached: 1559777057656.jpg (259x194, 6K)

usually when a team is as good as calgary has been they get poached by other teams
real problem is that good a team only winning two grey cups
it gets kinda fucked because they're poor and halifax is massive in area, usually cities aren't half of the province ether, I say it's probable they get the money
but atlantic canada loves getting federal money so it could happen

why is their no team in Regina?
or hockey team?
>that I know of..
>is it because the name rhyme with vahoohoos?

the roughriders literally play in regina and are the most popular team in the league
our version of espn has a fan vote replay of the past week's cfl games and it's always the roughriders in it

Saskatchewan doesn't have close to a large enough population to support a hockey team. It's a pretty small province with a lot of small farming towns and two medium sized cities.

if winnipeg can have a team and saskatoon is half the size of it, it's not out of possibility
there's a lot of money in saskatchewan, biggest problem would be regina and other towns access to saskatoon during winter
blues were considered to relocate there

biggest problem for saskatchewan is they don't have a billionaire wanting a team there
for some reason this guy whose a billionaire by saving money from haircuts and not from winnipeg decided to bring the thrashers there

Attached: thomson.jpg (803x603, 61K)

Who here bluebombers lifelong? Fucking love me some cfl.

It's just not a big enough market. Winnipeg already kind of draws from the Saskatchewan market. There's like a half dozen Canadian cities that are bigger markets than Saskatchewan that would get a team first.

winnepeg doesn't draw from it, saskatoon or regina is over a 6 hour drive
saskatchewan is the second richest province per capita, even without cities farmers making 100k a year in unincorporated areas can pay more for a ticket
only more reasonable locations is southern ontario and quebec city

Too based for this world

nobody stoppin him

who? reilly?

I mean the media market dont be so obtuse. There's also literally less people in all of saskatchewan than in the suburbs of like 40 cities that currently don't have a team

tsn would love the ability to put a tsn 6 together with saskatchewan 6 being nhl+cfl

What're ya doin' loins?

Press F to pay respects to Kato

I always thought that guy was chinese and not japanese

again with the too many men shit?
