Yes, McNeil is terrific. He is an elite player. The Mets wanted to get rid of him and never believed in him. They waited until their season collapsed to call him up last year and then in the off-season acquired 3 players at the two positions he played the most [2B/3B]. Remember, Brodie was trying to put him in the Cano deal until all the Mets fans flipped out on twitter.
I'm not criticizing McNeil, I'm criticizing Brodie and the Mets FO/ownership. All of this is because they didn't believe in McNeil.
