Can they, though? A lot of professional sports have banned forfeits to avoid collusion(not to mention damaging fan relations since a forfeiting team is essentially refusing to perform, and that's what people pay to see). If forfeits do exist in some kind of professional sport, generally the rules for doing so are pretty stringent, though I would imagine a 10 goal lead probably would fulfill those conditions if they existed.
