you now remember when a greek team won the ch-

You now remember Lyon in the champions league

You now remember Thursday night channel 4 (or maybe 5) comfy uefa cup matches with teams like shaktar Donetsk and Bayer leverkusen

You now remember Rangers before the club died and was replaced by Sevco.

>with teams like shaktar Donetsk and Bayer leverkusen
Exactly like last season then

You now remember when a Greek team was in Pot 2

>Arsenal

I always picked Bremen as a kid when we played PES, because I liked their colours and "Werder" sounded cool
>Micoud
>Klose
>Frings
>Naldo
>Mertesacker
>Klasnić
>Valdez
*cracks*

yes, football was great when it wasn't that filled with money and where teams competed with their genuine know-how.

Remember when ITV had champions league TV rights? The good old days

Wasn't it also on itv 4?

Also when was it renamed to europa league?

>no city and Liverpool
Pretty based tbqh

Back in the 90s, the French league was quite exciting, with a different champion every year - Auxerre, Girondins, OM, Lens, Monaco... back then football was the real thing *burp*

You now remember newcastle being a regular in the champions league

You now remember Troyes beating Leeds in the UEFA Cup

>Arsenal
>CL
lol what is this boomer bullshit

I remember when we would regularly see APOEL in the champions league, it always impressed me how such a dysfunctional island managed to make it to the group stage or even the quarter finals at one point

>Panathinaikos
That year was the beginning of the end of the "panathinaikos does well in europe" meme

>twente
>braga

>rangers will never be in the champions league ever again
Feels real fucking good man

Thanks for the (You)s Billy, but there’s no need to be upset

>Bursaspor

State of them, relegated this season and can't pay their denbts

Galatasaray cucking England in the Uefa cup 2000. Very painful.

>check rubin kazan latest league standing
>11th position
vvevv

Twente lmao, they just came back from relegation

You are now aware that one of the Champions League stars in the logo represent Rangers, a team who could stop trading tomorrow and still win more titles in your lifetime than your team.
>Greek shitskin mutt

Get of McD's wifi ya jakie tramp

You now remember when more than half of the teams playing in UCL were champions.

>my first year of uni
>life has got a bit worse every year since then

You now remember Celtic won the big cup without spending themselves into liquidation like Rangers (RIP).

>You now remember Lyon in the champions league
Didn't they literally beat City last season?

You now remember both Milan clubs getting btfo by a team with Crouch and Pavlyuchenko up front.

He's talking about it being available on freeview television channels.

In Spain too, I believe, people can't watch football on freeview anymore. Fuck capitalism.

Great memories.

Fascism is the best system

It's just capitalism but with the police assuming the role of judges and politicians.

>implying rangers are racist
its a team full of niggers like celtic

We are the people!

>one of the Champions League stars in the logo represent Rangers
The fuck? The stars represent different teams?

Of course it doesn't represent a team, Sevco fans are born delusional liars. They lie about Sevco being the same as Rangers. They lie about being loyal to the Queen despite Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs putting Rangers out of business for tens of millions in unpaid taxes. They lie about supporting the troops, despite not paying taxes during active campaigns in middle east where soldiers died. Their current boardroom is a collection of trophies purchased after liquidation that they lie about winning. They literally live a lie.

>you now remember Artmedia Bratislava, Unirea Urziceni, and Otelul Galati
Do any of these teams even exist anymore

This was the start of the massive decline for the Milan clubs for me, seeing them get BTFO by that really inexperienced 'Lads its spurs' team in their first ever champions league with Pavlyuchenko and Crouch. The writing was on the walls.

>Braga

How did you have time to play between war?

>You now remember Olympique Marseille in the Champions League

It's been so, so long brehs ;_;

Werder was one of my favorite teams back in the day

I remember hearing the CL tune in our stadium for the first time against Inter and actually getting chills. Good times.

How is Steve McClaren remembered at your club?

Cyprus is richer than the US

Very good because he brought us our first league title. Though his 2nd period at the club kinda brought his rep a bit down, but he's mostly remembered for the successful times and forgiven for the follow up.
Probably not the best trainer we've had in that time though, I rate Preud'Homme higher.

You now remember Rangers surviving the group stage.

>Porto 2-3 Artmedia

Oof

It's funny because he's got a shit reputation in England yet when he went abroad he won a league title lmao

First English manager since Bobby Robson to win a league outside the UK I believe

you now remember Ole in the UCL

I wouldn't be surprised if Rubin gonna go bankrupt next season.

We had a very balanced squad with young and old players and a lot of talent. He mostly played the same 11 players and managed to keep them fit and motivated throughout the entire season.
Probably the experienced players also had a big influence on how consistent we were that season. And we could always rely on Bryan Ruiz to score a winner in the final 10 minutes if we needed it.

>You now remember HJK in the champions league

They used to go further in the tournament

>meme

*loses to BATE and Vidi*

our decline is the reason Greece is Liechtenstein tier in football now, enjoy having your champion being humiliated by literal amateurs

>Auxerre
I know remember Ireneusz Jeleń

Guys does anyone know that Forest won the european cup twice? Crazy fact i know

most shocking one is arsenal making it in

Holy mother of based

>Auxerre and Sochaux are now struggling to survive in Ligue 2

Scots are cucked

Wasn't Auxerre literally an amateur club before Guy Roux stepped in?

Did they? Their fans never mention it, never
