Lebron said that bullshit last offseason, and literally didn't change his game at all. Recall him nonstop talking about how he "wanted" to play off ball more with the Lakers. Kawhi to the Lakers is not happening in a million years but if the Warriors lose in 5/6 and Durant walks I could see Klay jumping ship to the Lakers. I know he said he wants to be a Warrior for life but if their dynasty collapses then I think the Lakers case would be too strong for him to ignore. First and foremost, he's an LA native who would be getting a chance to restore his hometown franchise to glory. Second, his game complements LeBron's perfectly. A shooter of his caliber would feast every night on a team with LeBron and Lonzo. With their assets and Klay the team would immediately be on top of the West (which is really pretty shit outside of GS with Durant) and it would be LeBron taking free trips to the finals all over again. Third, it would give him a chance to become a top tier star. Right now, he's viewed as kind of a fringe top 25 guy who didn't even make an all NBA team this year. He'll never get ignored like that again if he's in LA. Once LeBron hits his late 30's he can take over the team and establish himself as the Kobe of the 2020s. In contrast, if he stays in GS he runs the risk of becoming irrelevant as Curry declines and the league moves on to bigger and better things. It doesn't make sense for him to go down with a sinking ship. Everyone else (Davis, Butler, Durant, Kawhi, Kyrie, LeBron etc) is making aggressive moves to build their legacies so why shouldn't he?
