Lipinets-Molina is not a mismatch, Lipinets should be the favorite, but not so much the favorite that it's a mismatch. Dunno if people are starting to overrate Lipinets already, keep in mind he was losing to an over the hill Peterson before the KO. Both are great fighters with a lot of heart, it will be a barn burner. Nery-Payano probably isn't a mismatch. Most /box/ cazzies only know Payano for getting sparked by Inoue in one round, but that's Inoue, Payano arguably beat Warren 2x in two really good action fights and is a top 8 fighter in the division. There's not a hint of quit in him, if Nery can't put him out cold, Payano is going to keep on fighting hard. It'll be a great fight no matter what IMO.
The only real mismatch on that card is Caleb's fight, which as said isn't even on the PPV card itself. Every other mismatch has "fireworks" written all over it.

Even in other animals, they don't strike but they grapple. But boxing is first and foremost a martial art of the fist. It can be sportified of course, but we can make sports out of all martial arts, and seeing modern MMA it's clear what is dominant in terms of real fighting. I really just don't understand why you value boxing over other martial arts. Every legitimate martial artist needs to know how to box, it's essential to know how to use your fists, but it's incomplete on its own and most importantly it doesn't serve as a proper foundation when compared to grappling. In some sense, watching boxing over mma is like watching 3 point contests over an actual game.

I like boxing in the context of mma (if you watch mma fights most of it is striking anyway unless you have an elite grappler who dominates everyone) but the striking is different because they still have to worry about kicks and takedowns, which means modern mixed martial artists are actually better at striking than elite boxers anyway.

I started watching a little of boxing matches out in my teens but quickly switched to MMA around when PRIDE was still a thing.
