But don't try too hard sub-edition

>What now for Tottenham Hotspur, who must return to the drawing board following their defeat at the hands of Liverpool in Saturday’s Champions League final in Madrid. While they were away, somebody sketched portraits of Real Betis’s central midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, his Lyon counterpart Tanguy Ndombélé, Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gómez and Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, whose collective price-tag of well over £140m could send a chill down the spine of the club’s thrifty chairman Daniel Levy.

Meanwhile at Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku‘s mooted £60m move to Inter has hit a snag. Reports in assorted English tabloids suggest the Serie A side need to raise £40m by the end of this month in order to comply with financial fair play rules and will therefore be unable to make any big name signings unless they can offload a couple of players first. Asked by the BBC World Service if he was hoping to sign Lukaku, new Inter manager Antonio Conte was non-committal(ish). “I think now it’s very difficult to talk about this,” he said. “For sure, we have a plan to try to improve the team but it will be very important for the players, it will be very important to have a great will and great ambition, me, the players and the club, to try to reduce this gap.”

>United are interested in a right-back, but are believed to have baulked at the £30m Tottenham Hotspur are asking for Kieran Trippier, who looks to have have played his last game for the club. Crystal Palace whelp Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also the subject of interest at Old Trafford, but may prefer to join their local rivals Manchester City, who are also keen on securing his services.

any other qt boi young prospects you know of?

Roma winger Cengiz Ünder is wanted at Everton, who have had an initial bid of almost £25m for the Turkish winger turned down by the Italian club. The 21-year-old has also turned heads at Arsenal. Having been linked with a move to Manchester United, Everton’s Brazilian winger Richarlison has told FourFourTwo he’s happy where he is. “It’s a nice feeling when you get praise for your good work, but I’m not thinking about a transfer at the moment,” he said. “I’ve just arrived at Everton. I’m happy here.” Bless.

>No shortage of uncertainty remains over the future ownership of Newcastle United and the reign of Rafael Benítez as the club’s manager. The Express claims the Spaniard has decided that if the Bin Zayed Group are successful in their takeover bid, he’ll treat himself to Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp and Jan Hurtado, a 19-year-old Venezuelan striker with Argentinian side Gimnasia.

And finally, unwanted at PSG, where his contract expires at the end of this month, Adrien Rabiot has been offered £175,000 per week and a £4.5m signing on fee by Manchester United, but would prefer to keep his Thursday nights free and is angling for a move to Liverpool instead. Previously a target of Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona, the French midfielder is reported to have priced himself out of a move in January.

it's confirmed in Argentina that Santiago Sosa is getting bought by Everton for 15 millions (I think dollars, not Euros, all contracts here are in dollars)
he is in the U20 world cup in Poland, and won't play another match in Argentina. His parents confirmed it. He is a defensive midfielder from River Plate. Now they just have to work out the work permit.
If he does good there he could go to the world cup in Quatar, because there is low competition for that position in Argentina. Only Paredes, who is a very different style of midfielder.

You beat me to it

West Ham fear they will miss out on André Gomes to Everton despite lodging a £20m bid for the Barcelona midfielder. The London Stadium club have already had an £18m bid for the Portugal player knocked back and have returned to Barcelona with a new offer. It is thought the Spanish champions want at least £25m for the 25-year-old. [The Guardian]

>Aston Villa are chasing Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge and have already had a bid knocked back. WalesOnline understands Villa saw a bid of around £8m rejected by the Bluebirds , who aren't interested in selling one of their star performers unless a "generous offer" is made for his services. [WalesOnline]

A number of Premier League clubs are interested in offering West Bromwich Albion striker Jay Rodriguez a route back to the top tier. His hometown club Burnley, who made a £16m bid to re-sign their academy product last summer, could also return for the versatile forward although Bournemouth is also said to be interested. [Express and Star]

>Manchester United have moved into pole position to sign Leicester City's James Maddison this summer. United have made the 22-year-old their new priority, and he is likely to cost close to £60million if he leaves the King Power this summer. No official bid has been made yet, and this is still the early stage of enquiries and discussions about the transfer. [Independent]

MAIN STORY: Juventus are interested in signing Paul Pogba back from Manchester United, according to Sky in Italy. The Italian champions have made contact with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola over a potential summer move for the France international. Pogba has told Mino Raiola he wants to rejoin Juventus, according to reports from Express. [Sky Sports]

Is Sessegnon even good? Every time I watched him he looked nothing special. Like Masuaku tier

And Paredes is dogshit.
People underrated Lukaku. In Serie A, he will score 30+ goals.

le fast nigger

Lo Celso and N'Dombele would be amazing. Spurs also need to realize that Kane can't play every fucking match down to FA cup matches in Cambridge. Let Son and Lucas run the show in those matches at striker. It was ok two seasons ago and it should be ok now considering he keeps fucking his ankle up. Either that or get a capable second striker to let him rest for important matches.

Nice white Midlands boy

lo celso can play as striker, can't he?

theoretically.. the yorobeat highlights I watchef of him he seems like he's more of a passer than a shooter

Nah he plays either the Trequartista role, or the pure centrocampista. He's played some regista but isn't strong defensively

he is a midfielder that scores a lot for a midfielder, similar to Di Maria when he plays as a midfielder instead of a winger. he does defend more than Di Maria.
I guess he could play as a striker, as in, play behind the 9 in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1 or something like that, but it would be more like AM than striker

Ahh, Javi, or some say Javi Martinez… Do you hear our prayers? No, us scousers will not abandon the dream. No one can catch us, no one can stop us now!

I saw him lined up as ST in betis' last game against real madrid, kinda surprised me.

just read Sosa will have an EU passport before year's end, must have recent Spanish/Italian ancestors, so, work permit would only be an issue for a few months
I don't know if Brexit will change any of this, if people with EU passports will continue to be able to play in the UK as if they werent foreigners

how much to transfer her ass to my face?

di maria to barcelona? kek

that is the most Club de Amigos thing I could ever imagine
If that happens Messi controls Barcelona

was reading some di maria rumours (to see if he may return to central) and all results said he's being targeted by barcelona and atletico madrid

well, it'd be a better transfer than coutinho at least

>no Napoli news
another 2nd place I guess

Attached: IMG_20190418_120244.jpg (460x345, 41K)

I like how South Americans typically return to their boyhood club, wish Europeans would do that more often

iirc they wanted to buy Di Maria a couple of years before but they couldnt because of a contract he signed with RM that would have made him extremely expensive. they had to wait 5 years to pass since Di Maria left RM.
It's something RM begun to do to make sure their explayers don't go to Barcelona.

kek
Based Sarcastic Sun Flag user

well, in the 442 they plat di maria would fit better than coutinho

I don't know why atletico want him tho, they have lemar who plays almost the same role

Rooney did, it didn't end well

Im hoping a big european team or an EPL top half side buy them

Attached: mckennie-adams.png (1065x459, 858K)

another thread where the only on-topic post is the OP and the rest of the thread is virgins talking about whores they'll never fuck

Lemar isn't doing very good, which makes sense because I think they play him out of position.
Simeone keeps buying wingers, makes them play as midfielders in a 442, and also wants them to defend a lot.
Perhaps he has finally learned you cant have a midfield made of 4 Busquets.

Most of the thread has been on topic

Rooney at Everton was fine, he had some goals and they weren't doing anything special anyway. Far from a disaster

This. Wish people would go back to where they came from more often

spotted the virgin

Ben Yedder would be the perfect player for this role.

He was their top scorer in a team that signed seven number 10s that year

Can I get a rundown on the meme position names i.e. trequarista, regista, madonna, lampana, etc?

Regista is a midfielder that plays in the position of the defensive midfielder, but doesn't defend, he just makes many excellent passes, especially long distance ones. A creative midfielder that plays very deep.
The most famous one is Pirlo, but there are some active ones, like Ever Banega in Sevilla. They tend to be the free kick specialists of the team too.
It wouldnt be impossible for an old 38 years old Messi to end up playing in that position.

>sign 3 wingers when they play a 3-5-2
genius

Trequarista is a "three-quarter forward" somewhere between an attacking midfielder and a striker, basically a second striker, expected to provide chances as well but more specialised in finishing moves than a normal #10

Gotze can play Right Wing or AMC/CAM. Ziyech can play Left Wing or AMC/CAM. These are two positions that Arsenal need to fix. Robben can play on either wing but predominately Left Wing. So it'd be like this

Attached: lineup(2).png (480x600, 89K)

Sorry, late here. Robben can play either wing but predominately Right Wing. Gotze can play Left Wing. Got it wrong way round.

This is a burger tier post

I don't know, it rings more of a deluded but legit fan on some forum 10-12 years ago. the fact that he's spelled half of arsenal's players' names wrong adds to the nostalgic charm

to be honest i am just shitposting because i can't sleep no fucking bully, Sosa.

Not really. Gotze has been constantly linked to Arsenal. Robben is free. Ziyech is £25m. I don't see the issue with it. Kannemann is cheap and linked with Arsenal. Your autism about spelling is weird but whatever. It's not beyond reason especially when they're probably within the price range. Robben isn't a step down in quality to fucking Iwobi. He wouldn't go to Arsenal, sure, but he could improve the team if he went.

>javi gracia
he'll be there to fuck things up so badly that there'll be less pressure on Lampard next season

nobody is going to buy ozil, ziyech isn't good enough to start regularly (ditto kannemann, probably), gotze wouldn't improve the team, and robben wouldn't join as you say

Thing is, I'm going on what Arsenal can get and buy. Kannemann is £10m and whether he's good or not, he is a new player they could probably afford that isn't too bad. Ziyech is the same. Who do they play in the Ramsey position now? Xhaka? Ozil? Robben on a single year contract isn't bad, he's 37 and I don't see any CL clubs going for him. I dunno mate, just thinking.

>a geriatric le cut inside man and fat German manlet will save us

i was shitposting mate, still can't sleep. don't really care, arsenal are doomed, might as well make it funnier. robben is unironically better than iwobi.

Also we all worked out a few /trans/ ago that wage bill is the real marker of a plastic team.

twitter.com/kohlerunited/status/1135549111325925377?s=12

Club is truly going down the drain, let that sink in. Maybe this is a sign they will start tapping up players like Liverpool do

spurs are GOAT

Oh for fuch sake.

i think it depends on how you get the wage bill. if you sign players on low wages then give them big contracts to keep them around once theyve earned them thats fine, but signing players for 250k plus a week when you dont even know if theyll be worth it or not is a no no

>United, Liverpool, Chelsea and City are the only clubs who have ever spent over £100m netspend in a season
>people will say they're not money clubs
Spurs are truly the only good team in the league, followed by Arsenal and Burnley.

Hahahahah

Attached: 1360787866486.webm (300x227, 635K)

They’re buying every single u18 promising player rather than spending 50m on them 3 years later
Nicky Butt is having a great transfer window

Well, Liverpool's players are all on £200k+, which makes them the 2nd highest wage bill in the league behind only Manchester 'We Can Sign Anybody' United. It goes

1. United
2. Liverpool
3. City
4. Chelsea
5. Arsenal
6. Spurs

And Arsenal will be even lower now because they lost Welbeck, Ramsey and Cech's £100k odd each.

Is netspend the sign of a clueless /trans/ lad?

>Worse squad in decades, Not splashed any cash yet. Let that sink in
What? Is this United fan a mental case or something? United have spent fuck loads. They also have the highest wage bill in the league.

Nicky Butt sounds like a nonce

It’s the sign of a scouser
Even after a champions league win they must argue they did it on the cheap

Rating or not rating Verratti is the deciding factor for me

Yes. Netspend is a fucking meme. We all agreed that wage bill is the real sign of a plastic club. Certain fans have fought for total spend to be ignored, then fought for netspend to be ignored, so we're left with the only marker which is wage bill.

And the cash has been wasted and will continue to be wasted. Don’t you keep up?

Yeah I do, but I'm replying to the
>Not splashed any cash yet.
Comment. They HAVE splashed cash. On stuff that has underperformed. So underperformed an user forgot Fred was even a player for United to list in a list of United midfielders.

>all this woodward out shit
>it doesn't matter
>it doesn't work
I feel sorry for United, but they have it better than Arsenal. At least United will spend £200m to shut you up.

He's an angry manlet and also a brainlet. Loved his hostage video from 2(?) years ago

Got until 14th June to pay for my season ticket. Ole is gonna sign some players before then r-right?

Where is Dutch photoshop user? I have a meme request.

Yes but you wont like'em

I'm worried about Mane leaving. He didn't look very happy on the parade bus. Rumour has it he lost his CL medal though.

But besides that he was furious with Salah for not passing yet again.

Liverpool are preparing for signing Mbappe...again. But may have missed the golden opportunity, as they should have signed him before PSG shackled him. FSG said that it won't happen again and the next time a world class talent comes up, they will have the funds ready.

Attached: 170819-175-Liverpool_Crystal_Palace.jpg (1200x800, 52K)

So why can’t I be pessimistic as a united fan?

>Can you do a toilet to represent the current state of the club?
lel

Wages is a meme because city pay gorillions in bonuses to get round FFP. Did you see Pep's answer when he was asked if he was getting extra pay under the table? Where's the good data anyway, Sanchez's wages jump between 300k to 500k depending on who you ask

Because you know that Woodward won't end this transfer window without one or two big signings for Ole? Because you know they'll happily fire Ole in December if you're not in Top 4. Because you're not worse than Arsenal who won't do any of that and could lose their best player?

So I was right when I said that Liverpool's net spend was the same as West Ham winning the CL

It hurts, lads. Why did I do?

yes buy Ziyech, it'll be hilarious to watch him fail

Someone actually greenlit these

He's midtable trash but Arsenal are bottom table trash kept up purely be Auba and Laca.

Realistically, how do you fix United? Buying players like Rabiot and Bale has been a failed strategy so far, they are basically clones of Pogba and Sanchez and will only be there to earn huge wages while not meeting expectations. Other teams have realized how desperate they are so signing British players like Maguire, Wan Bissaka and Maddison who might not be top tier but will care enough to show up will cost as much as buying your Griezmanns, your Dybalas, etc.

Is there a rational solution to this?

What will Liverpool fans have to talk about when they “sign mbappe” and their “net spend” is through the roof.

Will they stop supporting the scouse because money is ruining football and they like city are “buying titles”

for the love of /trans/ lads

Maddison is top tier

Everton should sign him

I don't think I can keep adding to it desu. Anyway, trying to resurrect DitL posting.

Everton could realistically win the league if they did. I dunno why people are saying a dude with 24 odd goals and 24 odd assists is somehow bad. Arsenal need somebody to replace Ramsey and he's within their small budget. He could do well for Wolves, Everton or Burnley too.

Take a break lad. We're not going anywhere I appreciate the effort.

Dutch league is shit mate.

Arsenal have offered Laurent Koscielny to Inter Milan. He’s been rejected.

At least you know you have a ban and don’t need to hope.

dutch competition is shit. Luuk de Jong is topscorer here. He would be fine for Everton, maybe Arsenal if they want to compete with Everton for the 7-8th spot

Yeah but all their players are shit except Icardi who is a nutter

Last summer we didn't even sign that many players. We got jorginho but Kepa was a Courtois replacement so it's not like we significantly strengthened. Kovacic was a loan.
We've bought Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta and Morata within the last two years. Roughly £150m on benchwarmers and loan army fodder

Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer has expressed his desire for Jurgen Klopp to become Bayern Munich manager in the future after his incredible feat with Liverpool.

"I want nothing more than to see Klopp come to Bayern one day, it would be a good fit," Beckenbauer, who won five German titles with Bayern as a player and coach, told German newspaper Bild.

"Jurgen brought a new type of football to Germany... what he began in Dortmund, he has refined in Liverpool. He is the worlds best."

He added: "I think that a job in England robs you of energy. As a manager in the Premier League, you have more responsibility than as a coach in the Bundesliga.

Klopp responded:

"I like Franz [Beckenbauer] - and he likes me,
however, Bayern have very good coach. And what could be in five years or more, I do not know.

A. Herrera psg
Hector Herrera Atletico
Godin Inter

Ander Herrera to PSG.
Godin to Inter.

Can't believe we got Brandt so cheap.

James Olley: Arsenal are determined to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, amid interest from China, he has two years remaining on his deal and the club plans to offer him an extension. Talks are also due with Alexandre Lacazette over his situation, with both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid interested.

About his eternal tracksuit: "If a club asks me to dress differently, I will do that of course. But those youth trainers who stand next to barren football fields in three-part suits, I find that to be a little pathetic."

Based

Me neither. Good bidness that one

About superstition: "I am less superstitious than people think. The only thing I still do is not entering the field before the last whistle. But sometimes the dugout is on the other side of the field and I have to. The more you win, the less you will believe in such things."

Thanks for proving me right

Attached: wage meme.jpg (960x960, 175K)

No not really because neither West Ham nor Bournemouth don't have a wage bill as high as you

Militao for 50m
Rodrygo for 45m
Jovic for 60m
Hazard for ~100m
Lyon's LB for ~50m
There's your 300m. If they sell Navas, Bale and Modric they'll have enough money to fix the midfield as well.

Rodrygo were last windows budget.

Considering Poch had his players stepping on cole and breaking arrows on their necks, I think this may have been the best approach.

lol wage bill fake metric invented by ABL's

Net spend is the true measure of success, it's backed by mathematics and science

Just accept that Liverpool are now set to dominate Europe and the league for the next 15 years.

Take a look at spurs you faggot

I bet you listen to Florence and the Machine lmao

Well maybe. But they’ll probably kill a load of innocent fans for the 3rd time and get England banned from Europe

Shut the fuck up

people are just really fucking sick of the netspend thing

Italians are shameless with their incesteous club-swapping. Lippi went from Juve to Inter and back again

then stop getting baited

For me, it's net-trophies
Years you exist as a club minus the amount of trophies you've won

Or spend-per-trophy
Total transfer expenditure divided by the amount of trophies you've won

->

If Origi was smart he'd hand in a transfer request now. He'll never get more than back-up minutes at Liverpool and his 2 goals in the CL semi and one in the final should be enough to get him a decent move somewhere.

I will never understand why bringing up net spend triggers some retards. Like it's a bad thing that a club balances the books and doesn't go into debt.

Trippier-Dybala swap

debt doesn't matter

Would somebody please buy Boateng?

Why don't Liverpool go for De Ligt? It'd be a bit harsh on Gomez and Matip, sure, but with him they'd arguably have the best CB pairing in the world. It'd be a proper statement

net spend is the only metric that makes liverpool look good

To be honest with you lads, I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool have the highest wage bill excluding bonuses soon, FSG have hueg wage bills in America.

Klopp doesn’t need creative midfielders. They “create” by pressing like spastics and winning the ball high up the pitch with the opponent disorganized.
