that didn't happen, so no

What? He still lays high pressing

Klopp is like Bielsa but better and has a better roster

Look at the state of Salah and Firmino in that final, he really cant be aggresive when they are that out of form.

It did during the final. After the first goal, Liverpool sat deep and hardly played their brand of high press football.

The temperature and humidity killed any chance of a true meme press, plus firmino was injured and they hadn't played in 3 weeks

That had more to do with how Poch tactically reacted than any inherent philosophy. Both managers strangled the other by forcing the other team to play a playstyle they were not suited to.
Plus it was two PL teams playing in peak Spanish summer. Guaranteed slogfest.

Never thought I'd see klopp play mouball. Sickening display but better than getting eviscerated

liverpool played the same way against real last year. truth is liverpool were terrified to lose

>French football understanding
No wonder you import nogs to do it for you

And they won

Bielsa is superior to Klopp
better memes

What's the point of playing football if you are guaranteed a win by playing as shitty as possible? It was a final after all.

you don't understand jackshit, while what you say might have weight, the fact that they played the same way last year puts the credibility of your statement in jeopardy.
liverpool = shit in away games
klopp= shit in finals

not saying it was bad or undeserved. the better team always win.

>they played the same way last year

shhhhhhhh user shhhhhhhhh

>babbies first CL final

You meant to tell me the final was a much shitter match than the semifinals because teams are nervous and unwilling to risk much when everything is on the line? Say it aint so.

>lose two finals because of your playstyle
>change it for one (1) game and win the title

clearly not because he just won the CL instead of finishing 6th

yes but the lesson is literally just that having world class defenders/keeper lets you win games even when you're playing shit

that's why finals to be two legs, no away goals counting

>those stats being any indicator of playstyle
Okay now I'm actually concerned for your well-being. Is your caregiver not around?

he didn't change it, this time they got the luck to play against spurs.

listen, you're new worlder, you're by definition a retard, in both finals liverpool played "counter nature". the first time they played against an elite team, that's the only thing that changed from the two finals

difference is literally upgrading karius to one of the best keepers in the world and spurs not doing a 1/1000 overhead kick like bale did

>in both finals liverpool played "counter nature".
Not an effective argument in indicating similarity there my melanincompoop.
>muh new world
Not as new as your New Africa.

Liverpool played completely differently in both games. In the Spurs game, they defended deep and instead of playing their usual calm passing from the back with the surging fullbacks, they opted for over-the-top balls to Mane and Salah down each wing in a weird hoofball hit and hope approach. Against Real this wasn't even an option, because Salah went off injured.

real had way more chances than spurs anyway. feels like in big competition finals, the only factor that makes a team win over another is the quality of the goalkeeper

and to be fair bar his penalty, salah was useless

Honestly dont think it matters what Klopp did. Poch is tactically inept. Regardless of what Klopp fielded or instructed his players to do, Pochettino would fail to adapt like he usually does. Starting kane, late subs with keeping Alli in, a static front line that wasnt moving much, midfirld failing to pass the ball properly. The first goal really set the tone of the match in place but aside from his early mistake I thought Sissoko played well.

You're not wrong, but that changes nothing about how Liverpool approached the game.
