Fix the MLS

Everyone agrees that 90% of the MLS team names are completely cringe.
Your challenge is rename every team with a shitty name to something better.

>having an American style name
>complain
>changing the name to European style
>still complain

For me, it's Borussia Cincinnati

The only people who complain about American style names are yuroboo faggots.

This. Keep the American style of franchise naming, instead of copying the naming style of decades-old athletic clubs. The only exception would be if somebody like the NY Athletic Club had a good enough team and joined.

The only one I would change is revolution, it's pretty cringe as well as its "crest". Also maybe fire

The real problem with mls is no proper tier system with relegation. It's clearly needed and would actually grow mls popularity, but nooo can't upset the burger billionaires

good posts

fire is based faggot, disaster names are great

>chicago fire
>sj earthquakes
>ny jets

Atlanta United and D.C United are ok.

I'm conflicted. The old Columbus Crew crest was shit, but it also had a lot of soul.

DC works since they have the whole capital of the United States thing going

Agree, Altanta United is a use of United that just sounds nice enough, I would prefer of they were called Terminus Legion or Atlanta Pheonix.

Minnessota United is retarded though, just change the name to Minnesota Loons already.

Left one looks like a gay night club logo, right one actually looks from a football club, bonus points for calling it "SC" instead of "FC"

Left looks like the cover of a slightly naff New Wave album

They should all be called "Soccer Clubs" (SC) since that's how the sport is known in America. "New York City FC" sounds fucking stupid since no one in NYC calls it football

>soccer club
association football clubs

does anybody actually call it that?

Attached: North American superleague.png (749x751, 485K)

you wouldn't be saying that if they didn't change it

calling it "soccer club" sounds like calling it "footy club"

>the MLS

Left one is unironically a lot better than these Bayern rip off they have now.

Why Houston Dynamo, NYRB and Sporting Kansas City are cringe? It looks pretty American to me.

Athletic Club Miami > Inter Miami CF

The Village People logo is pretty good actually, imo

>dynamo
Russian/former Soviet thing, right?
>red bulls
literally a brand
>skc

You won't be looking forward to the future MLS teams
>Austin FC
>Nashville SC
>Inter Miami CF

>Russian/former Soviet thing, right?
Don't know, to be honest.
>literally a brand
So? You want a more American thing than a brand?
>pic related
I don't get it.

We have a George Washington University

Attached: gw-basketball-game-2.jpg (4272x2848, 3.8M)

SKC were Kansas City Wizards until they rebranded around 2010

Dynamo and Sporting are ripoff names, Red Bull is a soft
sporting also means it's a club with more than one sport which skc is not

I see.

people's names on teams.
George Washington FC x Andrew Jackson

Shakhtar Detroit
Arsenal Tulsa
Deportivo Las Vegas
1. FC Pittsburgh
CSKA Mobile

We don't call it football, and they aren't clubs. Anything with FC immediately goes to the bottom of the pile

Nobody would invest in these teams if they could be relegated. The league doesn't make enough money if you leave out franchise fees. That's also largely funding the academies, which are the only good thing MLS is doing

>major league SOCCER
>half the teams are called football club

Attached: 1532680062592.jpg (498x572, 32K)

kek

Dunno if memeing but SOCCER is literally short for AsSOCiation FOOTBALL.

Socceris the name in the US, call it SC or AFC.

Harriet Tubman United vs. Kanye West FC

when was the last time you heard anyone say "association football"??? 99% of people here would genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. FC is yuroboo bullshit.

why arent they called soccer club then

I'm going to start a "soccer" club in Detroit, and i'll call it Detroit Negroids

Sneed

AFC is pretty common here, though no one actually says 'association football' out loud.

stop calling all your teams with generic formula names like " " like houston dynamo, seatle sunders, colorado rapids etc etc etc, just stop...

Also Liga MX and ascenso MX, please stop doing the same thing with "Los de like cafetaleros de chiapas, mineros de zacatecas, rayados de monterrey etc etc, please stop...

Tried to keep the names 'American style' with local relevance.

Atlanta Foresters
Austin Velvet
Chicago Fire
Cincinnati Porkers
Colorado Rapids
Columbus Crew
Dallas Fury
DC United
Houston Hustle
Kansas Heart
LA Angels
LA Galaxy
Miami Magic
Minnesota North Star
Montreal Impact
Nashville Rock
New England Revolution
NYC
New York Bulls
Orlando Toons
Philadelphia Union
Portland Timbers
Salt Lake City
San Jose Earthquakes
Seattle Sounders
Toronto Six
Vancouver Whitecaps

>Toronto Six
Nice

For me, it’s FC Bayern Utah

>Fix the MLS
>No mention of introducing pro/rel

No wonder this league is absolutely fucked!

>Lokomotiv Chicago
>Real Columbus club de Balompiè
>1.FC DC
>Association de la Jeunesse Montreal
>New England Wanderers United
>Internacional Fútbol club NYCFC
>NYRB Boldklub
>Associazione Calcio Orlando City

New York Redbulls -> New York Bulls

Move FC Dallas out of Frisco no one wants to drive over there

Too late now. The league now is full of rich owners that will sue MLS to death if pro/rel is introduced. If you need pro/rel you have to have it since day one.

>mlsoy
cringe

MLS clubs would die if this happened, as Americans are famously fickle and would stop supporting the club the second they dropped out of the top division. Why do you think the US sticks to single tier competitions? Because they are a fundamentally plastic country with no sense of loyalty or local pride.

>Orlando's marketing strategy is unironically >look at us were fags
really makes me think

Chicago's name is fire.

Most names, especially those of newer teams, seem to be just fine. My fav is Vancouver Whitecaps I suppose.
this minus autism

>minus autism
The MLS can't survive without autism.

Try
> Kansas City or KC Torandos
> Miami Waves (with a new wave 80s aesthetic)
> New York rats
> Nashville Stars
> Huston Slingers

>a bong can create better names for American teams than American marketers employed by the MLS

>No St. Louis Historics FC?
