>"your"

>this flag
>your club

Yes, his. He proudly bleeds blaugrana.

>it was Higuain's fault
>it was Dembele's fault
>it was Valverde's fault

>Messi choking means that no fault can be put on Valverde

I don't understand, has he moved to Wellington Phoenix?

How do you give your existence over to a website? Has despair seeped so deeply into you, with opportunities for employment or friendship or any of life’s necessities seeming to be so non-existent, that you have accepted the fate of eternal shitposting? Valverde is partially to blame, and so are many of the players. Blaming an offensive player for that utter defensive collapse is irrational, but I would expect no less from a person who has traded their soul for a proxy.

>The president also praised Valverde's intelligence
Special boy

They probably don't even watch the games, they see results like 1-0 against espanyol and think they played well

If you look at all the teams he has coached you will realize a few things: he always plays with a high press which alternates with swarming the box if an opponent manages to escape the offside trap, long balls to the long lad up front or otherwise quick low passes to the front two or three, and plenty of tactical fouls. In short he only knows how to play in the Athletic Bilbao style, which can actually work great if you have the quality to pull it off, while on the other hand the current crop of FCB players are simply too lazy for such tactics.

Are you fucking retard? His tactics are park the bus and hope Messi does something, just like every other small club manager that gets a job at a club bigger than themselves

t.brainlet.

Valverde understands strategy. He doesn't have one set way of playing, and focuses mostly on controlling ball-passages and funneling them in the least harmful areas of the pitch when the opponent is trying to attack, and conversely in the most dangerous areas of the pitch when his team is trying to attack. Both dynamics, when in play, are supposed to play out as quickly as possible to maximize efficiency. This is not to mean fast-paced football... just that the ball should be funneled into the least harmful areas (for FCB) as quickly as possible, and then the game can proceed to play out at whatever tempo suits the team best.

Make no mistake... he's a very astute manager who does have a plan in place most times; he's just methodical to a fault in what is often an unpredictable sport with a history of rewarding risk-taking and sheer will. He's naive in abandoning a clear ethos (like being a possession-heavy manager a la Pep Guardiola, Sampaoli, Rodgers; playing a full-court press like Bosz, Klopp, Berrizzo and Schmidt; being a primarily counter-attacking manager like Mourinho, Ranieri Etc.) because he's then unable to properly impose his will on the opponent when his team is in genuine trouble. Like in the semi final in the 80', after Liverpool went up 4-0. Now, it needs saying that the future of football is in the hands of malleable managers -and Valverde has this going for him in spades- but it helps to marry malleability with a clear ethos in place. Pep Guardiola is a great example of this.

kiwibro is barca through and through you r*ddit fags need to lurk more

You're talking out of your ass. You're the same guy who was hyping up Valverde after they won 3-0 despite the fact that they played like Burnley after 1-0 and by Messi's will alone did they win 3-0

Nope I just explained it to you his actual strategy.(which isn't parking the bus).

I also explained why he lost the liverpool match. Valverde has plenty of weaknesses (lack of clear ethos being a major one). Unlike you I can criticize him without resorting to dumb statements like "He parks the bus". A conservative play style doesn't mean Bus parking.

Bandwagonning foreign clubs IS reddit m8.

>I also explained why he lost the liverpool match
He lost because Liverpool are a better team. They never should have had a 3 goal advantage in the first place. Liverpool outplayed Barcelona home and away

>team didnt score
>defensive collapse
lmfao

>Liverpool outplayed Barcelona home and away
Cringe. They were they barely looked threatening in the leg.

So when Salah had an open net but hit the crossbar, that wasn't threatening?

I think you missed the part where I said "barely". If we are counting missed chances then barca should've been up 6-0 in the first leg.
