Why is it the Montreal Elb Expos?

next step is NBA franchise

dude it clearly says 'ello

This.

ilu ameribros, looking forward to share baseball culture with you again

Glad to see some folks excited. Question is, who will go? Will a team move there?

Rays or marlins apparently.

I hope the Rays stay, for being as small as they are they do a great job keeping a competitive team together, especially in the AL east. The Marlin's on the other hand deserve to be dismantled and forgotten about

Et le buuuuut!

mlb would never give up the miami market even if it's all bandwagon spics.

Am from Miami, everyone hates the Marlins but white and Cuban boomers. If they go maybe another half decent franchise can use their pretty nice (albeit dead empty) stadium.

It's gonna be the rays. The ybor deal fell through and that seemed like a now or never deal for the rays to actually be in tampa.

Join us Montrealbro
Miss you in the NL East

i'll believe it when i see it

>basebore

bronfman family is behind it
they're like our rothschilds

based
i will ride the train up to Montreal just to watch a game.

You'll get MLB when Quebec gets NHL

Wear the original uniforms, not the pinstripe revision. Latter looks too much like the cusb. Maybe tweak the shades of blue and red so they don't blend into the morass of like 75% of the teams in the league that use that color scheme.

Send DC back to the AL where they belong.

imagine naming your team after whipping your dick out

What better way to distract from the fact that one of the female heirs is going to jail for running a sex cult

Take the Rays, leave their abomination catwalk stadium to die out. Marlins would never leave because muh Jeter muh new stadium

Marlins won two WS in the last 20 years the Dodgers for example won zero.

I thought baseball is already passe?

baseball is a popular sport in your country... english teach retard

Montreal Rays
>sounds right n coolio

Rays owner is likely to sell in the near future, it's ogre

So are the Nats headed to the AL?

Return of Quebec Nordiques when?

Never ever. Nobody is paying $650M to put a team in QC

comment tu dit?

>Relocate the Rays to Montreal in 2022
>Relocate the A's to Portland in 2024
>Expand to Las Vegas in 2026
>Expand to Charlotte in 2028

Fixed the MLB in terms of locations.

Keep A's where they are and relocate the Marlins desu

if marlins moved the expos get their old division back but I think its more interesting if the rays move. two leaf teams against the three ne corridor teams. or they could replace the nats and and the al east is all 4 major ne corridor teams and canada city(toronto)

They have a better chance of the Nordicks coming back via relocation. Vegas, Seattle, Mexico City, and Louisville all have far better chances of landing an NBA expansion team when they are finally ready to expand, which won't be for a long time.

Meanwhile, the NHL has a bunch of floundering teams. Arizona is $300 million in debt and their owner is selling, again. Carolina may have a good team, but they have awful attendance. Most people in Florida don't even know what the Panthers are. The NHL may have great parity, but the bottom of the league is a sharp drop.

>they do a great job keeping a competitive team together, especially in the AL east

*laughs permanently*

*swoops in and steals your expansion slot*

hes right though. they have to play 38 games against the the two best franchises since theyve been a team and have been an above average franchise of the last decade

>Portland
gay
>Charlotte
gay
Indianapolis or OKC should get a team before those shitholes.

>flyover shithole and even bigger flyover shithole

hard pass.

Why do people think every league is going to end up in Vegas? The NHL got in first and the NFL is coming next. There's no money left for MLB or NBA

sports betting. Vegas is going to be the Vatican city of legalized sports betting. That industry alone will be able to sustain multiple teams in Vegas. I don't think all 4 leagues will work, but they could definitely handle 2-3.

When a team based in the Eastern Conference has no choice but to relocate.

Fuck I want my expos back

okc is too small of a market for a baseball team. charlotte is like three times bigger, growing faster, and almost certainly has more average disposable income, and would have a large region outside its metro supporting it.

indy is bigger but still not big and wouldn't even get much support it's fairly small population state. the nw will still root for chicago teams and the south the reds

Love the positive responses here

The Expos might be the least hateable team I've ever seen

That's because they were garbage for their entire existence and played in a foreign country

Hey congrats Montreal
You guys are all still total assholes but I'll cheer your team on while the Jays are trash

It is interesting that the Expos get such a warm reception compared to other relocated teams like the Nordiques, Thrashers, Sonics, and Oilers.

where's the stadium location?

Nice skyline desu

zürich is getting a second football stadium
thoughts?

Why do they hate their own team

Are they going to reuse the Expos name, or come up with something new?

They were the best team the year of the strike, which also happened to be their only good season. That’s just tragic.

where are the goalposts and hash marks?

you can still buy expos hats in canada. that branding is too strong not to use

they better
the fact the relocated Expos chose Nationals instead of Senators is a big reason theyre not successful

Sports leagues savor the Miami market.

if they were to relocate the rays to montreal, then they should put them in the nl. no need to have the jays and them in the same divison.

The Twins probably didn't permit them to use Senators.

Marlins did got bought by a bunch of brokedick retards who needed to borrow a shitload of money to buy it and then sold all their players off and cut costs to the bone so they could maybe pay off the interest of their loans with revenue sharing money. But apparently MLB supports that shit since half the league is tanking despite record revenues.

Actually the Rangers had the rights since they were the last team to be the Washington Senators. But iirc the actual reason was that the DC politicians were salty that they didn't have voting representation in the government thus not wanting the name senators for their team.

Seems like it is only kikes who get that kind of rope from the league office. They ran Frank McCourt out of kikewood pretty quick.

>boreball in Montreal
They unironically like their mlels team more. Also, it will never displace hockey

>Also, it will never displace hockey
It doesn't need to.

but why would Montréal would get a 2nd nhl franchise?

quebec city =/= montreal

I wish the rays would come to Orlando. I hate basketball and it's a whole bitch of a day driving to Tampa

Weak bait

They would unironically get outdrawn by Orlando City

why talking about québec on a montréal thread?

Don't know anything about baseball but Montreal is a kino city, was there in October. Only downside to the city is that there is construction going on everywhere.

Fuck Orlando and fuck universal.
Fuck Florida in general. Give Montreal the rays AND marlins. Have two Montreal teams, the expos and the Coureur des bois

Because their home team has sold off players in 97, 03, 05, 07, 12, & 17

>t. Marlins fan

It's supposed to be an M made with an e and b
expos Montreal baseball....

Damn that’s one awful logo.
