Why has this club attracted so many of the world's most talented footballers throughout history? What makes it special? Is it, dare I say it, more than a club?

This is Barcelona's best all-time squad in my humble opinion.

Looks like a youn Raul

Young*

>no fatnaldo
his one season at barca was literally one of the best single-season performance of any footballer ever

money + cruyff being the coach
also daily reminder maradona left barcelona for napoli

Who's the guy on the top right? Also the two below him?

Real madrid and Barcelona are literally the best two teams in the world. The battle for the top spot (though it’s been one sided) will live forever.

Bernd Schuster
Luis Suárez
Gary Lineker

Bernd Schuster
Spanish Luis Suarez

state of the art doping
prime child blood to renew your own
mother cell treatment for injuries fresh from aborted fetuses

money

they were completely irrelevant club until Cruyff, and even after that they hit a slump that extended for about a decade

not really, Real might have signed the world's best and most expensive players in the 50-60s era and from the 2000s onwards, but in between those years they never signed anyone on par with Maradona or Cruyff. other (lesser) stars such as Schuster or Laudrup played for Real but only after spending their golden years at Barça

historically speaking, Barça was a lot more flamboyant with its signings than Madrid, even if they severely underperformed. things kind of reversed with Florentino Perez, at least for a while.

more than half of those played without cruyff being the coach
and btw
napoli was paying better and he was afraid of basques breaking his legs

Missing one there, buddy.

so relevancy means wining champions now huh?

money, a nice city with nice temperature and nice cuisine, a good color scheme, an important club in one of the most important leagues, a huge fanbase... what else do you need?

unironically better then suarez

Worlds best Doping Program is centered in Barcelona
>Big club in a beachside holiday megacity

That’s it really

Messi because he went when he was 12 years old, and the rest are a bunch of boomers from ancient times where football was borderline amateur

If you are going to make 10k a year in London or 10k a year in Barcelona ¡anyone would chose Barcelona, it's a way nicer city

Because they fall very early in the alphabet.

You are all just jealous because they didn't make an anime of your team

Juventus was also in that anime though

but they weren't the protagonists

Based

yes? not that Barça were terribly dominant in the domestic stage until Cruyff, either. and internationally, they never even won the UEFA Cup so what was Barça's claim to glory, a bunch of CdR and league titles and a handful of UEFA Cup Winners Cup? that's Parma-tier

suarez is from uruguay though

Dumb sahur poster

He means the boomer guy
