A stage so boring it's hardly worthy of a thread. But here it is.
>The Route: a near-certain sprint finish but Bardiani-CSF should try something as today and tomorrow cross their home land. The course is flat as they stick to the plains, all day the riders will be able to see the hills on their left but the race avoids them to keep things simple.
>The Finish: a city centre finish, it’s flat and with just one turn in the final 5km, there are some urban cobbles to traverse just before the flamme rouge.
1/2 is hugely overrated imo. There is not a single easy stage in the last 10? stages so it will be even more than ever about long time endurance and climbing. Nibali seems to be in top shape and we only have the last tour to rate Roglic in that regard. With MAL down in classement Astana will make the race very hard and they have the strongest team this year - dont think Jumbo has enough power to protect him
Kevin Butler
Roglic seems in better shape than anyone. Plus he has another TT to gain more time again. He has a big enough gap that he doesn't even have to chase Yates and MAG. The others will do it for him to protect their podium. Easy win for Roglic
Samuel Wilson
He lost 1 minute to Big Tom and Froome at last years final TT in the Tour which was a lot easier than what is coming up. Roglic will crumble and fade away. This has Nibbles voodoo win written all over it + he always peaks for week 3
Anthony Martin
Fucking shit weather....no summer in sight. Won't go riding my bike until it is not raining and the roads have at least dried out a bit.
There is only a small wish to do a several days bike tour, but I don't have the right bike for it, cannot even install some mudguards on it with the tools I have....everything is really tiresome. You haven't seen much outsides of Yea Forums?
Hudson Rogers
+3:46 from Rogla
Dylan Rogers
what is the right bike? I did ~600 km 5 days tour on my regular road bike once. As long as you don't plan camping, any bike will do.
>I stay a NEET wizard, already gave up on life actually Well, there's your problem.
Anthony Foster
>NEET jersey LOL
Blake Jenkins
No u, I am 1,77m on 60kg.
Kek, would be lit, a NEET jersey, only insiders would know what the word means outsides of Britain. I live in South Bavaria, so riding to Italy wouldn't be that far away. Even thought of doing a tour but as I said before in this thread, low motivation, too much obstacles.
I have started to ride my bike regularly since March, have ridden 700km so far.
This stage is booooooring. I think I might skip watching the Tour this year, since I've had my portion of boring stages already.
Oliver Hughes
Nice one, lel though I had in mind something black, like that swat uniform. and maybe having a black helmet with "N.E.E.T" sprayed on, but that would be withouth holes, therefore not aereo...
Easton Diaz
As I said, I did my touring on regular road bike without all that crap. For mudgards, Crud MK2 doesn't require special outlets. And if you plan stays in motels instead of camping, you don't need rack either.
Brandon Kelly
> Holy shit, it exists. lol
Brayden Rivera
So, how do you carry your personal stuff? Huge backpack on your back?
Cooper Taylor
something like that and another smallish bag under frame.
Why can't we have the a 365-day Giro instead? With no rest days, of course.
Jason Thomas
>katusha
Henry Campbell
How did you get your netbucks? I don't get shit.
Jayden Cooper
not yet, mom is handling the isee module, so I'm not sure how much I'll get, surely it would be less than 800
Blake Howard
demolition
Gabriel Butler
Came back from my little promenade to the recreational forest, and have done some pullups (8+7+6) und chin-ups (only 5, because something in my left arm started to twitch..). And then went to the super market to return some bottles and to buy a bit of food.
Noice, really noice, but would only wear it, if it is cloudy. It would be hell in the sun with all black.
T H I C C privet, are you marat safin? plz be marat safin. imagine world #1 shitposting in giro and tour
Grayson Morris
>mountains are still white and it's cold.
Epic
Gay
Blake Anderson
why would tennis pro even watch cycling
Landon Peterson
How?
Tyler Hernandez
he said in an interview he spends lots time on itnernet forums and reading about stuff (redpilliping but ofc he cant say that in the media)
Bentley Martinez
400 evrov je sociala, sam morš aktivno šiht iskat. Plus ne mi srat da nimaš za bajk, dons dobiš šiht takoj in zaslužiš par jurjev v roku nekej mescev, pol leta.
Diddnt Safin fuck Sharapova ? i know shes a closet lesbo
Nicholas Walker
>lose to Demare
Moschetti is wrecked
Ryder Harris
Is Viviani cursed for the entire Giro?
Lucas Clark
>imagine losing to Demare
Elijah Ross
also, what the fuck is viviani doing
Alexander Jackson
Plains stages should have more crashes
Ian Gonzalez
Ackermann caused the whole accident by driving into the wheel of his last man and then killing one CCC guy. The trek guy has a really weird way of losing balance and crashed 30 meters ahead in the barriers on the other side
Jose Nelson
Teehee finally, he got attacked by that mountain lion.
Jackson Harris
Choking. His dream was to win in Italy wearing the tricolore.
Benjamin Miller
don't ask me, my knowledge of tennis is non-existent
Jaxon Parker
ViviANO looked very disappointed losing to Demare.
Sebastian Evans
kek he only has two stages left now
Ayden Rivera
1, he wants to retire before the mountains.
Hunter Smith
hope the tifosi boo him then
Thomas Lee
is Viviani the biggest jobber of this tour? I think that would be Ack
desu there isn't much point in continuing past tomorrow as a sprinter if you aren't wearing the maglia cyclamen. It's pretty much nothing but mountains coming up.
Michael Lee
lmao at that ag2r guys just running over the fallen dude.
Isaac Stewart
stage 18 should be a sprinter win
Thomas Smith
>ampak nerad zapuščam hišo Potem pa tud kolesarjenje ni zate
>According to Selig Guarnieri gave him a wave, he had to slam the breaks and try to avoid him and Ackermann behind him couldn't do anything anymore. Typical sprint crash.
Nathaniel Russell
you literally get used cycling jerseys for 15 bucks at ebay
Ah, have searched all day long for a relatively cheap cycling jersey, but most of them even lack the description of the fit. I am relatively scrawny, which means I need race fit, otherwise I might as well just wear a regular t-shirt.
At the end I might just stick with my compression shirt.
>used cycling jersey
Ughhhh, that sounds disgusting.
Levi Walker
rude
Aiden Gray
Just buy any small or xsmall jersey from a known brand. it will be fine
>Do we get a new thread? I don`t know. I thought this was the new thread until I realised this is still from yesterday lol.
John Rogers
Is there a stream anywhere for today's stage?
Adam Lopez
lmao I was like "how are there 180 posts already for such a boring stage, did something happen?" only to realize it was still yesterday's thread
Brody Price
The stream is in the same place as everyday, newfag. However, broadcast doesn't usually start until 14:00 (35 minutes from this post) barring a few exceptions like notable mountain stages.
Hudson Morales
Thought this was stage 11 also. I mean, even the profile is pretty much the same.
James Bell
Yeah but I couldn't find a link for it anywhere in this thread, toothpaste.
Brandon Allen
there is nothing to see until an user makes the webm of the sprint
Parker Powell
I found a nice sale on the following product, it looks okay, and according to reviews it's really nice.
No, most probably not. Motivation is low anyways, and it's always an uphill battle, the grey, windy and rainy weather doesn't help.
I mean, I cannot even bother to fix my bike properly with the shitty front derailleur not being aligned properly, which means, I only have 10 gears at my disposal. I cannot change the ring to 48 teeth, which is really bothersome in descents, I cannot paddle at all.
I haven't read a book nor a magazine for over a decade now. Also, why are Belgians all massive faggets?
Jackson Cook
Wow, what a flat stage. Perfect opportunity for Viviani to lose again
Adam Myers
>He asked me why I'd done that if he was so far ahead in the overall [points] classification," Démare claimed in his stage winner's press conference. "But a Grand Tour is long and you have to stay humble. It's his first three week stage race, he doesn't know yet how he'll get on in the mountain stages and he should stay calm." Cant wait for Mr. mountain cheater to exposed. This fraud can only win the jersey with the crash
John Reyes
>He's the strongest sprinter in Italy, but only because we have no one else. I don't think he's the strongest in the world, otherwise I might go back to training to race again.
he threw shade not only on Viviani, but also on every other sprinter in the country
Blake Russell
"Riot" in Leuven. Supposed to be hip second hand. "Think Twice" stores usually also have loads of cycling jerseys, and those are in Gent, Bxl, Antwerpen and other cities as well iirc. Though this was a good find too, it's usually shit local of German teams, though I have found a Rabobank one too once.
Well, technically speaking, it got 2 small front wheels :-DD
Sebastian Sanders
Heh thats curious. I've never seen a jersey in a think twice shop (gent). Must've just looked over it
Lucas Taylor
I've never been to one in Gent so couldn't say much about that but I'd think they have them because they do in bxl, ant, & lvn. Just go find one in Brüssel before/after grand départ.
Parker Hughes
I will go out for a walk I think, and do some pull ups and chin ups and then go and collect my ordered power bank, charger and tiger balm.
Direct Energie have a crazy budget for next season, offering him 4 million euros per year, they're going after Stybar, Pinot, Kristoff too, just let the guy go - he still has Jungels, Senechad, Asgreen coming up
He was dropped even by his lead out man, they should have swapped roles lmao.
Nathan Johnson
Weather is fucking finally getting better.
Tomorrow I will try to wake up earlier and do my usual short 42km ride.
Christian Thomas
Why does he stop at 0:21? Could have easily finished 3rd if he just followed Demare
Justin Hughes
Thanks based Dmitri
Anthony Cox
he was dead just from trying to follow his lead out guy Sabatini or Senechal, whichever one it was.
Zachary Cook
I bought an Endura jersey once that was way too big. Supposed to be small but I gave it to my friend who wears large and it fits him. It was probably just marked as the wrong size though. Still never buying Endura again because of it
Anthony Watson
Maybe it was burgers' sizing? Usually US S is EU M.
Brayden Cook
Giro doesn't have enough jokers like this guy. The Tour always has guys trying to get on tv. pic related is the ultimate of course
>MY god Sean it's going to be VERY fast... there's Ackermann and Gaviria, and Ewan and Vivani and oh my god they are kicking out some major power and it looks like EWAN is in going to take it...!
1.5km/h is a huge difference when you are going slowly, which you would be on a 14% gradient. What speed is that at?
Jose Lewis
a deux vitesses hon hon
Nathaniel Cox
According to the calc about 14.3 km/h, and with the same wattage on my 13% climb about 15 km/h, which feels like a stand still desu.
Feels like I am not moving at all. Maybe my senses are bit warped now. Even the 59 km/h I was descending at, felt slow (couldn't go faster because no higher gear left...).
Jose Sullivan
Based haters be hatin' but he winnin'
Isaac Gutierrez
Hm, I can realistically go 2km/h faster on the 13% climb without improving myself, but just improving the bike ( 9kg, instead of 14kg, tubular tires instead of mtb like tires, and using drop bars).
Tyler Gomez
based, I remember this >tfw u will never cycle up to a mountain top with ur granddad to play a comfy match of chess
Jeremiah Hughes
hes either very rich or dedicated. its kinda cool that he is at every GT + trainingcamps in spring. its really a shame there are so few fan videos from the tour. sometimes i spot him in the coverage with his flag
Endura always has better material compared to other brands imo. Sizing depends brand to brand though. Used their merino socks for years, they only recently wear off. Good choice
Aaron Cooper
Ok, have eaten my porridge and scrambled eggs now.
Ready to take my bike for a ride. Probably will miss the first half an hour though of the Giro.....
Someone make a new thread or keep this one, though the OP picture is misleading.
