Speedway is solid frame, no brakes 500cc singles with super short races with only one starting row of riders. Conventional US flat track is rear brakes only and full suspension 750 twins with more of a dirt oval/MX format. They also run TTs with right hand turns and jumps where they get a front brake. They have a class for 450 dirt bikes now too.

technically you have to use the same car but if you crash after qualy you can go to a backup but you start last, back in 2010 kanaan qualified with his backup and switched back to his main car for the race, nowadays the thing that is locked is the number of the car
