I think there’s a strong arguement for Marcelo being the best LB ever in his prime.
What do you think?
Marcelo

Roberto Carlos was better
no there isn't.
unfortunately I never saw Roberto Carlos in his prime, is he the undisputed goat left back?
who is then?
Ow, nigga was great, played for RM and the NT and was undisputed at his time
Yeah, he was my favorite player back in the day
It's him or Roberto Carlos. I think they're pretty evenly matched so Boomers go RC and Zoomers go M
If he was a better defender he would be the GOAT of LB.
He wasnt, so Maldini still the best LB.
Djalma Santos
philipp lahm
Did Maldini ever win 3 CL in a row?
You should see him doing free kick in winning eleven, good time.
Lahm was a right back
who’s that?
he had the power of a thousand monkeys
youtube.com
Maldini you fucking mong
He had the leg muscles of a thousand TSU's.
he's up there. guess it depends what characteristics you want to stress
He won 5 CLs in his career
holy shit.. he could kick the ball like 150km/hr... that’s insane. Plus that goal against France in 97 was fucking magical.
Yeah it's Maldini
100% natty. No roids.
Did he win 3 in a row?
By far the best. He was part of the Brazilian dream team.
Lahm played loads of left back, epsecially pre-Alaba. He played there coming through at Stuttgart, played most of his national games there and when he first came to Bayern played there with Sagnol on the right.
I think Maldini/Carlos probably edge him in that position though. I'm not old enough to know other contenders.
Marcelo is a better attacker than both of them though that's for sure.
Fullbacks that can't defend don't even qualify.
Discarded.
Roberto Carlos was there before him.
This, but unironically. Marcelo reached the top by having TSUUUUUUUUUUUU by the left with him. Having a shitter like Nerman at the NT by comparison says a lot
he's a forward
that's not argument, without refball it wouldn't have happened
Won it back to back which is good enough, and captaining a European cup winning team at 37 is no easy feat
