On the other hand, I think most people are alright (in my experience anyway). I had my share of accidents, and random people helped me pretty often. Once I crashed pretty badly in some village 20 km from city. I even thought I've broken my collarbone. Some random jogger passed by and offered me help. He then run to get his car and drove me to the hospital free of charge. Another time I crashed on the road, driver on mini-van that was behind us stopped immediately. He then drove me to trauma center and even waited for till they finished examining me and gave me a lift to home with my bike.

I feel you, I have crashed twice here in Nipland, both times people were helpful. One was pretty serious, smashed my face off the side of a car that turned in front of me. The driver and his wife were at fault and completely honest to the police, even though he could have lied, I'm a foreigner after all and surely the police would have believed him instead of me. I was also dazed and have poor Japanese speaking ability. Fun fact, they actually came to my work to apologize and gave gifts to me and my coworkers for causing trouble.

Back from my ride. 70 mins of sweet spot to 2 hours, I have a feeling I fucked up my ftp test earlier this week and didn't go all out. Sweet spot isn't supposed to feel this easy. Probably just gonna bump it up a 15 - 20 W and see what happens.

Using phone to record elevation changes on your rides is pretty inaccurate unless you have an altimeter in it. Do any phones even have them? They usually overestimate though.

Lasts for about 60-70km and you can do a lot more stuff in woods or hilly tours without saving energy for your last climb home. My father and his rich boomer friends are in the Alps every year with them. Mind you on the flat you wont ever be faster than 30kmh if you dont manipulate it.
