Why can’t modern designers produce their own designs instead of relying on copying the past? These are the same type of people that won’t shut up about diversity and “being your own person” (lol) but they don’t follow their own advice

This is the new home kit btw.
I don't really see the problem, their last away kit was pretty nice and this one is alright too. What I don't understand is the 0 neck and V neck.

>we want the DC audience

Attached: 1541607339201.jpg (839x594, 49K)

The home kit is supposed to be an homage to the city of Amsterdam. Holes are a big part of the Amsterdam culture if you know what I mean.

>make new design
>waah muh tradition, is bad, capitalist fucks

>vintage design
>why can't they come up with something new and need to use stuff from the past waah

>the salmon pink devils

>tfw you will never be able to properly distinguish red and green

Attached: Q_HD.jpg (360x450, 33K)

If they want to pay homage a vagina neck would be better. I'm just bothered by the fact they use different necks.

so glad they did away with the adidas stripes on the collarbone/sleeves

Change can only ever be better or worse. Most people automatically hate any kind of change, then after 2 months they are fine with the kit and then they hate the next net kit.

So do you prefer the O or V neck?

what's wrong with this one

O neck, of course. I think V necks are tacky though acceptable on football jerseys. That said I have a HSV jersey with a buttoned O neck which I like the most.

Not sure about this. Hate the white shit on the sleeves

Attached: IMG_20190516_183015.jpg (739x415, 61K)

I think Liverpool shirts are alright, especially considering it's New Balance they're doing a good job at not fucking up immensely.

I agree

Anyone else really liked this seasons away kit??

>nostalgia fc

That gold is so tacky. PSG tier.

I don't like the stripes.
Any leaks of Spuds' kits?

Not bad. If only we didn't have to put sponsors on jerseys

Attached: dublin.jpg (800x800, 51K)

Every united kit will be shit until they get rid of Chevrolet

Yikes

>the Tottenham 19-20 away kit is set to feature iridescent logos similar to PSG's 16-17 third kit.

Attached: tottenham-19-20-away-kit-4.jpg (1080x1080, 120K)

Nothing yet. Doesn't matter because they have to wear 18-19 kits for the final

is that based or cringe?

Would be great without if the sleeves were just white

Someone post Juventus' abomination again

Doesn't even matter what they do. As long as that chevrolet logo is on the chest everything will look like dogshit.

They should just try to design the shirt around that shit tier logo. Like make the cross extend with adidas lines or something but it might trigger their paki customer base.

They’re about 7 years late to the minecraft craze

Looks like the marks rain makes when it runs down a window

Almost every club in the top 2 flights has a betting firm for their shirt sponsor and they all have official betting partners

Why couldn't they at least make the logo less obtrusive? That thing sticks out like a sore thumb.

This fucking team makes me want to kill myself. We're not finishing top 4 next season.

Top kek, my dad has this too. I've lived with him for 19 years and it still weirds me the fuck out when I need to point out the green or red thing for him.
I'll never get used to that.

meh, looks tacky desu

it realy is chevy fc

every soccer jersey wil look retarded because they are just billboards...
allowing the sponsor's logo to be bigger than the team logo is the dumbest thing ive ever seen in sports
especially because they dont even make any sense:
>an american car company logo on a british soccer team
>Qatari stuff all over france and spain jerseys
you cant even make up how dumb this stuff is

Football kits were a lot better when I was a kid

my thoughts exactly, why didnt they make the line the same color as the star? it makes much more sense

>That thing sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's almost like it's trying to get into your head, have you think about it and have you share it with others so they start thinking about it. Advertisers hur, are they out their minds!

The 91st & 93rd minute.

It's basically selling off logo designs to corporate sponsorship, but all they do is slap their name on it.

Their Peru kit at the WC was the best one there.

Gold away kit is nicer tbqh

Attached: KerryVsMayo5.jpg (1200x700, 178K)

>Those diagonal stripes....why
because the pirelli logo became such an integral part of design in the minds of people that it doesn't stand out. and an advertisement has to stand out.

O'Neills were using the three stripes before Adidas. I think they're only allowed to sell shirts with three stripes in Ireland, though.

Attached: SPR_DescriptionGraphic_Secondary.jpg (1400x1400, 616K)

I'd have preferred if they'd done something like this than that garbage.

Attached: Large.png (1360x765, 2.07M)

Adidas took O'Neills to court and lost their case, in between they did a brief trial with Kerry and this beauty was produced (Now selling for over 400 euro)

based

the S E E T H I N G is hard with this one

>football kits
>first thing you see is the sponsor
>team logo can't be seen at a distance
This would never fly here, inb4 meme flagposting responses. American jerseys were designed with visibility from far away in mind, or on black and white TVs. pic related is good example from the era with no HD or replay screens.

Also, what's with the obsession with shoulder-top stripes like . Seems to be a common theme. They seem sort of neutered and pointless.

But bruh, having your country initials in huge block letters spanning the entire front diagonally is kino. The US's hockey jersey is pretty nice.
>U
> S
> A

More on the simple side, solid block colors, horizontal stripes on the sleeves (thick, no pinstripes), don't use colors that don't actually belong to the team's scheme, don't overdo outlines on numbers etc.

Attached: 1468731024063.jpg (588x594, 70K)

the stripes are adidas' trademark. They have it in all of their products, shorts, shoes, socks, you name it.

But that makes the jersey seem like something the team just bought at some store, and didn't really take the time to make their own. I think adidas makes the current NHL jerseys now, the last ones were reebok which were great.

I never understood the concept of getting new kits every single season. Isn't footy all about tradition and club pride. If so, then why do teams change kits literally every single season, some even playing in colors not associated with their club. There are some teams in America who have been around for nearly 100 years and have never changed their jerseys.

Money.

>Yokohama tires

This looks like a glitch with the kits in FIFA when parts of it don't align properly.

Both your league and the Mexican League have issues in terms of how many fucking ads on your kits you guys allow. Christ

The clubs need the money.

>money
>new sponsors like new shirts
>muh innovation
truth be told, up until about the 90s football kits were mostly the same every year. this "new uniform every season" madness is relatively recent. you can blame kit manufacturers for that.

Fucking tell that to Adidas

But bruh, having your country initials in huge block letters spanning the entire front diagonally is kino. The US's hockey jersey is pretty nice.

No the fuck its not. Then it would be like the Basketball ones and those look like ass.

This one was good, back in South Africa

Attached: usa_1590275c.jpg (460x288, 49K)

>the clubs need the money
yes but it's still retarded. research has shown that you pay less attention to the sponsor when it's surrounded by a dozen other sponsors. it's why the premier league only allows one sponsor on the shirt. It's not only better for aesthetics, but also offers better results for the sponsor. it's a win-win situation, but good luck convincing retarded club directors here

I mean, I get that but still it's fucking insane

This. Thank you Huebro. It's not as bad in the Mexican league from what I have seen, but some are bad.

Pic related

Attached: 5018luna_MED.jpg (350x350, 15K)

What are you suggesting? That the clubs restrict themselves to only one sponsor on the shirt and charge more for it? Good luck with that.

Besides, when placed well and with good colours and unobtrusive designs, the sponsors can still look decent. Pic related.

Attached: reforcos-do-palmeiras-ja-foram-apresentados-com-o-novo-uniforme-da-puma-1546775388187_v2_900x506.jpg (900x506, 85K)

>senpai
Remove this north american nigger culture from my country.

>the clubs restrict themselves to only one sponsor on the shirt and charge more for it?
yes

>when placed well and with good colours and unobtrusive designs, the sponsors can still look decent.
yes. i'm not saying to ban sponsors. Inter Milan wouldn't be Inter if they didn't had Pirelli.
but notice how you barely pay attention to the SENPAI sponsor on the bottom of the shirt.

The absolute state of 4channel turning F A M into senpai.

kek

at this point i dont even notice the sponsors

It's Faculdade das Américas, you moron.

>yes
Be serious: Do you really imagine that ever working or do you think the clubs that try it will end up broke?

>Inter Milan wouldn't be Inter if they didn't had Pirelli
I mean the over-sponsored shirts we have here in Brazil. Palmeiras' matchday shirts look fine despite all the logos. Just takes a bit of effort from the designers to not make it look horrible. Compare Palmeiras' shirts to these monstrosities.

Attached: teams-galeria-sao-paulo-1476454072.jpg (1920x1221, 372K)

You should watch the Championship. Every match is the 32Reds vs the 32Reds.

Why do soccer teams make a new jersey every year?

I watched lot of Bielsa games and pretty much every team had betting sponsors, it's like La Nueva here

Fucking based

To sell more?

Can we all agree Nike is the worst offender when it comes to kit design?

this is based

why are they running with a volleyball?

These are shirts, not kits. If you're not going to share a picture of the full kit, then fuck off.

Attached: New-Motherwell-Strip-2018-19.jpg (627x976, 134K)

Mind your flag, they're jerseys and uniforms.

I'll be fucking pissed off if Adidas have actually made an effort in designing a kit for a Club, especially an away kit
They've shafted my Club with two templates out their catalogue as away kits

Thus is even worse than JJ

GAA jerseys have been legit good for the last few years since oneills started using quality material and slim fit style

t.full kit wanker

I'm gonna kill myself

So they can sell the new ones every year

Yeah, wish you kept it desu honest

>fix the front
>fuck up the back
Are they retarded or something?

Something about it obscuring the numbers/names on small TV screens AFAIR.

reminder the big black square in the back is made with a dfiferent fabric

>this and the rest of MLS designs
I don't get this. The decals are so delicate, literally no point on skipping them for the back. This is disgustang.

Wrong, this was their last kit, I liked it better

I like it, but I like better, tbqh.

They’re shit and will get banned anyway (the club badge is only allowed to feature once in your shirt)

where do you see two badges on that shirt

The away one doesn't look bad though

If he was at least 10 cm taller he would be sexy as fuck and i would let him pound me.

WHAAAAT I'VEEEE DONEEE

God help you

Why are Barça allowed to play with striped backs now, though?

What is the gold for? What did they win?

Fortis was a bank from Brussels but ofc the 'flemish' governement sold it to the french to keep KBC independant (the flemish bank)

the shirt itself is not bad but it will never look good with that fuckugly logo

Because Barca...

That one is terrible.

Whenever I go to Mexico every shop is plastered with 10,000 ads. Makes sense their jerseys are the same

striped back is allowed, it's the hal and half that triggers UEFA fro some reason

That abstract Puma logo needs to fuck off.

honestly it's the logo itself that's fucking dogshit, if it was a solid color logo in there like Opel in Milan it wouldn't look as garbage

logos that fit in the overall design are much more memorable, everyone will remember Sharp or even Vodafone, but nobody will remember that fucking abomination

How long before all PL clubs have chink betting companies as their sponsor

only the "big 6" won't have one

what's the point of shirt sponsors? have you ever said something like "oh that chelsea shirt looks nice i'ma buy myself some yokohama tires"

He’s asking why would a company advertise themselves on a football shirt when it doesn’t result in more people buying their products. Ever heard of someone buying a Standard Chartered or getting a subscription to SportPesa?

How long before national team’s shirts get sponsors?

Based. But how many adverts will be slapped on it?

Again, will look shit when there are seventy-nine logos covering it.

I've bought several Chevys JUST because of the United kits
I'm a real fan you see

oh right

to answer that question: I have no fucking clue

>How long before national team’s shirts get sponsors?
Pretty sure the RoI had one a few years back.

Hate stripey socks but the shirt is nice

>How long before national team’s shirts get sponsors?
>not remembering the ireland opel shirts

you think that's what modern marketing is all about? those are early 50's marketing strategies
nowadays it's all about keeping the company's name familiar to the public, that's the most essential now
they're not expecting to go buy their shit, they do expect that when you do need to buy something their company will be more familiar to you because you've seen it, and you'll be more likely to buy it

Haven't some national teams used sponsors on their kits before?
Pretty sure the Danish national teams jerseys once had "Dong Energy" on them, or "Arla"

>Dong Energy
Giggity.

Serious question, why euro clubs don't have culture of traditional away kit, and year by year change away kits colours, that most time is just black or white bland kit or some coloured carnival tier shirt? In Brazil and rest of SA all teams have their traditional away kits, usually white with club colours details, or if home kit is white, just another club colours, in the last 10 years we started the culture of third kit, that have strong criticism, because not make a sense a scarlet black club playing in blue, orange, yellow kits etc per example.

2/2

Attached: images(3).jpg (516x590, 24K)

>why euro clubs don't have culture of traditional away kit
Makes 'em easier to sell, I guess?

I read it aloud in my head and had a little laugh myself desu
Didn't think of it back then

The red/yellow combination along with the bird remind me of chicken seasoning packages. Liverpool used to have nice kits.

Its ok. Hey England clubs, some of you need a good box to box CM, that aways often scores? Pic related, improved Paulinho.

Attached: images(4).jpg (679x452, 30K)

The point of sponsorships is brand recognition. It’s not so you go buy a Yokohama tire, it’s so when you someday need tires and don’t know what to get you’ll get the Yokohama’s because you’ve at least heard of them

so fuggin ugly

Attached: 150519 - 1.jpg (843x562, 216K)

You need to change your badge, I wouldn’t want to be associated with The Rangers if I was you

That's the point

Woah, soccer uniforms actually look pretty decent without the chest ads. Also, it would be better if they didn't use the same striping pattern on the socks. instead, they should just limit it to 3 large stripes, like red-black-red that span the entire height of the sock.

>texturing on clothes that are meant to be seen from literal football fields away
Why do euros do this?

New kits are released in any new season.

the number is still clearly legible. only with contrasting stripes (ie. any colour + white) does it become an issue.

still prefer it to juve's attempt. at least these are still fucking stripes.

>literal biggest fanbase in the world (if you don't conveniently count the other half of the world)

Hue intelligence everyone.

Why should foreign '''''''''''''''''''''''supporters''''''''''''''''''''''' be counted? An American Liverpool fan shouldn't be counted and neither shouldn't a Barcelona fan from Bangladesh.

we want the UAE audience

>Monochrome apart from that hideous gaudy Chevrolet logo
Gah

Because you are trying to boast a stat that literally no one cares about.

You don't have the largest fanbase in the world while you actually have the largest population of any country that takes football at least moderately serious. To add to that; It's a club in a completely irrelevant league in a country that has been irrelevant in football for over 15 years now. It's honestly embarrassing that Brazil doesn't just dominate the world cup every single 4 years.

Dude, I don't give a shit about that stat either. A different Brazilian flag made that post. I'm just making the point that foreign band-wagoners of any club are cancer.

What's the difference even between a foreign fan and supporting a club from a different city?

JUST

The latter is less cancerous than the former and if your dad supported a club from that different city, it's acceptable if you do as well.

Why is it less cancerous?

They actually paid someone for this

Attached: LCIM.jpg (1000x1061, 69K)

Because you at least get the chance to interact with supporters of other clubs in the same league by some means other than the internet.

What do you mean the chance to interact? In what sense?

Conversations and shit-flinging if >your team beat theirs, that sorta thing.

But I can do that if I'm foreign and work in the country of the team I support.

But that's fine, actually. It's bad when a person lives in Korea and 'supports' Bayern Munich.

What if the korean lives in germany for 7 months a year to work and supports Bayern? Why is that worse than a guy from Rostock living in Munchen for 7 months?

this is nice

this thread belongs to /fa/
just look at these new kits

If you have a meaningful, reasonably-lasting connection to that country, it's fine to be a fan of a team from there. That's different from Asians and South Americans bandwagoning teams from countries they've never even set foot in.

What if the guy from Rostock never set a foot in Munchen?

Then it's also cancerous.

But then country has nothing to do with it. So foreign fans aren't by definition worse than fans from another city?

pretty good, for fat people

but there is a culture of away kit, only in the last 20 year marketing pushed for meme kits

please delete

Freddy Kruger-tier

Badge is slightly too big. Other than that it’s kino

Genuinely can’t wait to get one of these. Didn’t buy this year’s shirt because of the meme arrows down the side

Classy

I actually quite like it dezu

Dublin need to switch to crewnecks asap, sick of the v neck collar bullshit. Also oneills were selling the 95 jersey the other week

One of the best ITT. Simple, classy, classic colour pallette. Clubs need to realize that this is what fans actually buy, no man is gonna buy a pink and brown away kit with diagonal stripes and a sponsorship telling them to visit Krgystan

Love me Gazprom
Love me Putin
Love me Vodka
Hate the European Union
Simple as

Best design desu.

>and a sponsorship telling them to visit Krgystan
what's wrong with promoting tourism

Ads on jerseys are frustrating but this is easily the worst one I've ever seen

Daily reminder, the real CRF or that's only matters a biggest REAL fanbase club in the world is red and black the haunt of liverpoop, literally crushing a golden generation of Scotland footballers not a second biggest club in Scotland. Kkkkk Escócia, aquele lugar que os homem usam saia e é tudo bebum fedido kkkk.

Literally generic brazillian upper middle class particular paid school kit.

Looks nice but those socks should be red with black details instead of striped like that. They look like shit.

Wait the problem with striped socks? Its our tradition. Do you guys finally pleased now?

Absolutely SEETHING

Don’t get the hate for nike kits t b h. The only bad ones that’s I’ve seen are Roma and Inter

why did i feel the need to do this?

Attached: flamingo.png (554x554, 173K)

Proof that once again it's the shitty Chinese sponsor ruining the kit.

The Virgin main shirt sponsor makes it tolerable.

Just checked it and even no sponsors on the back, how? Wish they would get rid of sponsor shit.

Still do for the replica kits which is shit

They probably think they can get a better deal in one year so they don't want to be stuck with a sponsor who's paying bad.

As Roma had no sponsor for years, and their kits used to be kino.

Attached: C_29_fotogallery_1004854__ImageGallery__imageGalleryItem_0_image.jpg (680x850, 95K)

ozil joined roma?

JP Mcmanus just decided not to bother putting his logo on. He's still sponsoring them

>We want the kino audience

Would be fine without the tacky neon

Why would they put some random person Twitter handle on their kit?

what are GAA jerseys like? they thin and flimsy like a soccer shirt? thick and stretchy like a rugby top or what?

both Ajax's kits for next season look sexy imo

>An American acknowledging the existence of Motherwell

Never thought I'd see the day. Just wish we weren't shite the now.

if you're rich enough to be a sponsor on a football team your logo should be better than some wordart shit

like it, just dont like the emblem embedded in the middle stripes

They're like tight rugby shirts

It's that time of year again lads, though Ayr now insist on using both genders for their kit reveals.

why isnt his willy out

Why the fuck do I still live in this shithole

w2c UK?

But it’s based as fuck

It’s fucking embarrassing

Just realised I know the guy in this shoot. Weird feel

Looks pretty good

I actually agree with you, Jose. Never thought I would agree with a Brazilian about anything

I used to really like the away kits, but they just seem keep getting more and more random and ridiculous and it would make more sense to have a traditional away kit in addition to a yearly new away kit

Attached: 1553682015962.png (515x821, 59K)

if the logo and crest were all white, this would be a kino 10/10 kit, it looks great with the red socks and shorts

Yeah mate, because having ASPIRIN & VARIOUS OTHER PETROCHEMICAL PHARMACEUTICALS stuck on the middle of your chest is great

this is an absolutely beautiful fucking kit, shame that brazil just full on covers every inch with sponsors

>literally a team founded by workers at the pharmaceutical factory

i mean, it beats a betting company every time

They're both appalling. I wasn't defending bookies or the like you horrible funny. Fuck off

i didn't say you were, calm down lad

i'm just saying it fits given the club's history

is that a bad thing? maybe, i don't care

they literally aren't even using the kit for the regular season

Ahh that's alright then I suppose.
Germans having multinational corporations, even in name is disgusting though
& my phone autocorrected to funny. I meant to call you a cunny - as in a cunt. You cunt

most germans hate bayer/wolfsburg/leipzig for exactly that reason, but being completely honest i'd rather have those entirely transparent efforts than what a lot of other teams in the UK have where they're just straight up owned by some insanely rich arab despot attempting to whitewash their country's image

this one is amazing

>i mean, it beats a betting company every time
Why? Betting company sponsors are the best because they are actually connected to football, unless the logo is really ugly
Same reasons why local town company sponsors are good

They're not really though are they, if anything the Mansours are getting into everyone's heads for being greedy spoilt bastards who beat their team every other week. The only people with a positive outlook are in Manchester and some sections of press.
I particularly hate being firms too though, they are insidious and probably fix games ect.
