lampard did not play at the tip of the diamond that year. it was mostly 4-3-3 with drogba leading the line, and malouda/kalou/joe cole/anelka rotating in the wide positions. he did sometimes play the diamond but in those cases it was deco in CAM behind drogba and anelka

It was a match made in heaven, and even though Mourinho left the players were so good they just kept on winning. The only semi decent manager they had between 2006-2013 was Ancelotti for 1 season.
