I've heard people say they challenged so hard because they never had any injuries, how good will they strengthen in the transfer window? Will some of their meme players stop performing? I just hope they collapse lads
How serious are Liverpoop's chances next season?
Other urls found in this thread:
Liverpool had a lot of injuries, around the time they dropped points they had about 6 defensive injuries.
All Liverpool really need is a creative midfielder and someone to replace Sturridge.
VAR will shake up the entire season though.
There's VAR next season. They have no chance
It would shake up the entire season more effectively if they were to use a VAR system that worked instead of the car-boot-sale variety they've got.
Why does football think that it's too superior to learn the same lessons that rugby, cricket and tennis have already learned about technology?
Klopp's heading off to Switzerland after Liverpoo slip against Spuds in the CL final
about as serious as this year's. ie they have a chance but will be relying on some kind of crisis at city.
let's say 30%
Kult Kloppo burnout is coming. Look how he finished at Dortmund.
depends on the rest of the league. I mean how many teams can actually look at their performance and say "yeah this was a successful season".
When you look at how Alisson has 21 clean sheets and Ederson has 20, shows the gulf in class between the top and the rest.
They will probably implode, people have already realized how you can beat them and render their memepress useless.
I predict a dodgy top 4 finish next year and an early exit from the CL (group stages, maybe top 16 at best). After that it's back to their usual 7th place.
>people have already realized how you can beat them
How's that then
Brandt, a striker a CB and they're getting 114 points next year
But they only have one loss in the league
VAR next season, Liverpool are fucked. Just think back to all those dodgy decisions they got this season, without them they'd be at least 10 points behind City.
This. Spain knows the dance.
Would be more if all the calls were correct
By outscoring them?
It cuts both ways.
Yes they got a point against West Ham. But Mane was onside against Arsenal that's two points, and Kompany should have been sent off for his flying two footed lunge on Salah in the only game of the season Liverpool actually lost.
...
Same thing is happening in our peasant league of Eredivisie. All the other teams had horrible seasons whilst Ajax/PSV had good ones. With an emphasis on Ajax. Interchange that with City/Liverpool.. Afaik Bundesliga is a close race because Bayern/Dortmund are playing shit and the rest is playing better? La Liga comparable situation with RM etc?
Liverpool aren't going to get any worse, we have a young squad filled with talent and a positive mentality.
The worry is that Poop is going to go out and spend another £500 million and turn this league into a fucking joke.
Liverpool would have won the league with var
I dunno I feel like LFC topped this season. I don't think they will win any time soon and City is going to win the league many years in a row
Arsenal goal wrongfully disallowed
Kompany red
Maguire red
Keita penalties at Leicester and west ham.
Probably more . But any of these goes Liverpool's way and they win the league
>Indian customer
>first season with VAR in CL
Liverpool win the CL
hmm...
Ah yes, that situation which has happened so often to them recently. Truly, found out
> Numerous Salah dives to win penalties
> Fabinho dive to win free kick Vs Newcastle
> Offside goal Vs West Ham
> Offside goal Vs Southampton
> Offside goal Vs Bournemouth
Liverpool tried to cheat their way to the title and still failed.
None of the Salah pens would be overturned. Kek do you even know how te var works. Jeez abl disease is interesting.
>this absolute delusion
I said it cuts both ways. Like every team Liverpool got away with a few things but also had a few things missed.
I think City will be even better next year, and Liverpool won't catch them
>counting clean sheets to judge goalkeeper quality
I really hope not, it's already boring enough as it is. Yea Forums would love it though, anything to spite Liverpool supporters
I'm counting how often other teams are actually shooting at them.
Not very often, because they never actually try to win.
VvD/Alisson are dominant defensively and they have a good chance of sustaining their performance for the long haul. Also City's pacebabbies might burn out
they need de licht to have the same defensive depth as man city - four quality CBs. Oxlade-chamberlain coming back and being in form would help them a lot against the weaker sides because their weakness is creative spark when teams sit back and defend against them. A creative #8/#10 type player who can unlock low blocks would help against weaker sides - either ox or Naby Keita would be good options. A full season of Keita and Fabinho settling in and gaining form could make them really interesting.
>Only Liverpool got doubtful calls
>Liverpool aren't going to get any worse
I think this Liverpool team is based quite heavily around momentum and morale. Will be interesting to see if they get off to another great start next season and if not what will happen. I think teams will figure Liverpool out a bit more next season and the tin pot clubs will park the bus deeper and deeper which we saw at times this season works fairly well when Mane and Salah aren't give space to run in behind.
I think Liverpool have to win something soon otherwise some of their big players will leave looking for trophies as they enter their late 20s and I honestly don't think Klopp will stick around for longer than another 2 or 3 years at most with or without trophies. Once Klopp goes there will be a massive problem.
goalkeeper quality is a hard thing to judge
You could go with saves, but a good goalie with a good defence (Alisson) would naturally have less saves than a good goalie with a shit defence (Fabianski)
Have to agree with this, it's the same with defenders. At a big club they are often relied up on a lot less often but when they are they are usually high up the pitch and getting countered on quickly. A defender at a small club usually just spends the majority of the match sat in their own box heading crosses away and throwing themselves in front shots.
Deranged
You've not watched any Liverpool games if you don't think teams sit deep against them already.
>I think teams will figure Liverpool out a bit more next season
That is what everyone said last season and what happened was that Liverpool evolved again in their style of play.
The core squad is still young and on long contract, tough luck, you are clutching at straws.
the second goal today was offside lmao
Depends a lot on what happens in the CL final. If they lose it could be a devastating blow to team morale and could translate into a much harder start of the next season
lol only 1 point won from the West Ham offside goal, and Keita should have gotten a penalty in that game anyway.
The "Salah dives" are irrelevant because they're all clear fouls on Salah.
The other offside goals earned no points.
Top two next season same as this season barring catastrophe
