>Liverpool does amazing comeback
>Spurs does amazing comeback
>England cannot do amazing comebacks in international football
Can anybody explain what the difference is in mentality between the two? How can Spurs and Liverpool, both in Semi-Finals, find the power to turn around 3-0 deficiencies to win, but England, going 1-0 up against Croatia in a Semi-Final; cannot? Can anybody explain what magical power those two teams have that England doesn't? I know both of those teams are multinational (technically England is too) but how do they come up with such mentality to fight their way through? Or, is it scripted? Would Poch or Klopp make England winners? Or is the divide between teams too great to overcome?
Liverpool does amazing comeback
England don't have foreigners to save the day.
The difference is that England has English players and Liverpool and Spurs don't have them
There is no glory in playing for England.
Kane is Irish. Barkley is Nigerian. Sterling is Jamaican. Etc. But the mentality that Spurs and Liverpool had is insane and I dunno how they manage to get it but England cannot. Like, when England play Netherlands in the Nations League; they'll get twatted. The drive to win, to overturn stuff, doesn't seem to die with them. But it does with England.
Are you fucking serious you absolute mong
>Liverpool goal scorers: Wijnaldum (Dutch), Origi (Belgian)
>Tottenham goal scorers: Moura (Brazilian)
If only you could delete threads nowadays because your arse should be fucking embarrassed at being such an utter brainlet
the teams are english just by name, everything else is foreign
Not even the managers are English lmao
no english manager has ever won the premier league
just think about that for a second
they don't have a good attacking midfielder, it was obvious against Croatia
not even their main fanbases
What the fuck does that have to do with what I asked you utter cunt. I'm talking about mentality, not about their nationalities. Why the fuck can those two teams gather the mentality to win but England cannot? Saying 'b-b-but muh foreners' isn't an argument because arguably that'd make it fucking harder to work towards something.
Thank you Spainbro for answering my question without shitposting. My other question is; do club teams have better mentality coaches and shit?
Kek
*wins World Cup*
they thought they didn't
England is in a semi final and about to win a trophy.
The bigger issue is that EPL teams will always buy creative talent from abroad. You better hope that Pep trusts in Phil Foden and it works out.
Because England is shite
/thread
ohnononon hahahaa
REKT
Simple, for a bigger movie you need bigger budget.
Hmm you're seemingly making it about nationality though, I'm only going off what you're saying. What the absolute fuck does two English club teams have to do with the national team not having bottle? Are they managed by the same people? No. Do they have the same players? No. So what fucking point are you trying to make you complete fucking invalid?
can I get a ranking of the best English managers? Can't really think of too many beside Big Sam and Pardew but I've really payed attention to the sport for only 15 years
The players aren't English for the most part.
There's a fair few English lads abroad these days. More than there used to be. Jadon Sancho, Jonathan Panzo, Ronaldo Vieira, Chris Willock, Steven Caulker. Then there was Rabbi Matondo who could play for England but playing for Wales instead.
England's best players in 2018 WC were among the worst players on the field for tottenham today. Just a thing to think about.
My point is; how does a club manage to get the mentality to win but the England team cannot do that? That's my point. I then asked, in the OP, if it's down to the manager or some other staff thing.
both poch and klopp are adherent to the high press. . it only works as underdog or if you're not the underdog you must put your opponent in the driving seat by conceding goals
Where's the relation? The soil they share? Why would Liverpool and Spurs having a strong mentality have any influence whatsoever on the NT? Basically your point, your question, the premise of this utter waste of bandwidth is fucking retarded.
Piss off you cunt
England are shit and all the coming home talk is a meme nobody seriously thinks we will win a wc
you feeling alright?
>England are shit
Will you cry when we lift the NATIONS LEAGUE TROPHY McHaggis?
Pretty good desu
Then leave. Other people are able to talk about this without sperging out you fucking mong.
Got that; my point is it really down to the mix of nationalities that spurs teams on, or is it the manager or is it some training regime or talk or something that they did before these big games?
So it's down to tactics, not to do with anything to do with mental state?
Lmao get fucked and enjoy your dumbass thread you stupid twat
They did it against Croatia in the Nations League
Turrah m8.
mentality is affected by tactics
This
England are a top 5 team in the world
>Like, when England play Netherlands in the Nations League; they'll get twatted
They beat Netherlands last year
what good is that
Well, Spurs had a very clear Plan B. They brought Llorente on and that fixed their issues attacking. England don't seem to have that.
Means nothing mate. Sterling has only just started playing (for England) at the level he should be; but still has a worse goal per game record than fucking Welbeck. Who does Southgate bring on if Kane/Sterling don't score? Rashford? Vardy? Wilson? Sturridge? Look at Solanke and Ings, they died in obscurity. Spurrs and Liverpool had clear plans and had the strength not to collapse. Valencia will prove that mentality exists outside of England tomorrow.
t. not /elite/
England have had shockingly bad managers for a long time now. Genuinely horrendous appointments for decades. Imagine having Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard and not finding a system to accommodate all three.
Well, we have Souffgayte now. So, that isn't going to change.
>Kane is Irish. Barkley is Nigerian. Sterling is Jamaican
Kane didn't play, Barkley is in EL. Sterling went out like a bitch. NEXT
Praise your overlords, Origi, Wijnaldum and Lucas Moura.
seemed like they didn't have confidence pressing them what with missing key players so were reduced to long balls over the 2 legs and it didn't work because ajax were too tidy but then llorente came on it started to click because ajax is all skinny manlets and also tired
What a fucking retarded post. Take your shithousery elsewhere please.
This is the truth.
James Maddison was just a bit too late for the WC :(
Clough is the best by far and a good shout for best manager of all time. Robson was exceptional as well.
As far as modern managers go, Pardew is meme incarnate. Big Sam is good for teams who need saving but not for ones with ambition. Eddie Howe has proven himself to be good, and Redknapp was a shit house who always was a massive headache to play against. Can't really think of any other exceptional ones though
He's definitely not good enough to be a long term manager, nor to sort us out tactically, but his impact on the team's mentality and bringing the media onside (shouldn't be an issue but is in this fucking country) has been useful. As a stepping stone manager he has done well, but yeah, he's not gonna bring football home.
Shame. Would Poch or Klopp be the solution? Klopp winning WC with England would be meme.
He's shit
Pleb detected
primere league sucks, england's team suck even more, liverpool is okay because of salah
They would certainly improve our chances, but I'd rather we won it with an English manager tbqh. If we're finally led to glory after all these decades of hurt by a German or an Argie, it would be a bit embarrassing. An Englishman needs to bring football home if anyone does.
Give it a decade or two and Lampard will be ready to solve football.
>liverpool is okay because of salah
>literally choked a sitter in the first leg
>injured for the comeback last night
Mutt logic, everyone
Nah, just seen him play for us this season
>actually responding
Pathetic
