>Pacquiao >Runs through a gauntlet of some of the best Mexicans of all-time, Morales, Barrera, and Marquez back to back. >Becomes world champion in eight weight divisions, from Flyweight to Super Welterweight >Had to beat and stop some of the P4P best in his era and a storied career spanning over 2 decades before being considered a legend
>Mayweather >World champion in 5 weight divisions >Absolutely humiliated P4P greats from before his era, from his era, and P4P greats-to-be >Had to go undefeated for 2 decades and 48 fights against multiple future hall of famers and beat a fellow top 10 ATG in Pacquiao to finally start being considered a "legend"
>Lomachenko >Loses his first ever title shot against a literal Uber Driver >His only "P4P" win is a Cuban he dragged two weight classes up that everyone considers a bum now >Already had his "shortest amount of fights to become three weight division champion" record tied by a literal Japanese college student >Considered a "legend" and "All-time great" because of "MUH ANGLES BRO! MATRIX BRO! HES LIKE NEO!"
Why is this meme allowed to already be considered among "some of the great of all-time" after having done nothing during his career? Is it the Top Rank bonus? The Eastern-Euro bonus? Most fighters have to beat multiple ATGs and multiple Hall of Famers to ever get any type of respect, yet for Lomachenko he gets Pacquiao and Mayweather levels of praise despite having done not even a tenth of what they accomplished in their careers. By 2007 Pacquiao and Mayweather had both accomplished twice what Lomachenko has with multiple wins over multiple P4P fighters that were bigger than them, let alone what would come after in their careers, and yet people are comparing Loma with them and making excuses like "muh size" for every poor performance he puts in against mediocre opposition.

Christopher Bailey
joshua is too big, too fast, too humble for molasses man
Carson Nelson
Yeah this is garbage. Burnett had a torn oblique which is really common in baseball and tennis, sports that use a similar swinging motion. Donaire was holding his own though.
Hudson Reed
Good thing I dont watch boxing for drama. Maybe you should watch WWE instead
Joshua Wright
I forgot that most fans just follow the sport to race bait and play armchair accountant
(bump)
Adam Morris
u clearly don't watch it cuz u like boxing either welfare boy
Sebastian Garcia
He didn't dominate from start to finish. don't lie.
Jackson Reed
>Hey Cinnabum, glad to see you never forgot your schooling. You sure put that knowledge to good use against a stage last cancer patient. I'm almost proud of you, ese.
he pretty much did, flash kd aside. I gave him most of the rounds, even though it was a good fight.
Lucas White
>And you made $35 million dollars? Well, I can't say i'd ever accept a fight for that little, and I wouldn't take a fight if it wasn't on PPV, but that's more than what most boxers make so i'm proud of you, mijo.
Only Mexicans like Canelo, and not even all of them Golovkin is probably liked by more Hispanics
Noah Ramirez
I'm glad Harrison is at least adding some excitement to this by runnin' his mouth. Now I can bask, smugly, as Charlo beats him to a pulp and Boxing fans across America seethe,
$20 dollar is the US rate. It might be different in other countries. Besides the number to think about is how many subscriptions it drove to the service. 600k in the US isn't bad but it's also not great. The country with the most DAZN subscribers is Japan and that's because they snatched up soccer rights there I think.
Daily reminder: >George Foreman - Heavyweight Gold medalist - 76 - 5 (68 by knockout) - K.O'ed fighters like Joe Frazier and Ken Norton as if they were children - Oldest heavyweight champion in the history of boxing - Probably the hardest puncher ever - Healthy and strong as a bull at 70 years of age - George Foreman Grill - Second richest boxer after Floyd Mayweather - True and proud American - Christpilled - Loved by everyone nowadays - was friends with based Sonny Liston
>Moohamad Ali - Stolen Light (lel) "Heavyweight" medal which actual belongs to a Polak - cucked by mooslims and actually changed his name to "Muhammad Ali" lmfao - 56–5 excluding robberies - lost to Frazier and fought life and death against a post Foreman Frazier - basically was a piece of shit who even made Joe Frazier's children suffer because of his racial insecurities - lost all 3 fights to Ken Norton but robbed him twice - Self hating non-American who shook the hand of dictators like Saddam Hussein - constantly was short of money - already a completely disabled person with an undignified appearance by the age of 50 - died broke and sickly
I hope Harrison wins again the commentary from the first fight was annoying as shit hopefully they stop being biased faggots this time
Nathaniel Hughes
I'm sure they'll constantly say he robbed Charlo
Does Charlo have a Bruce Lee tattoo?
Jordan Thomas
>Jermell Charlo says many fighters have lost and bounced back to do great things. Tony Harrison lost twice and is now champ. >Harrison: “I appreciate that.” >Jermell: “Don’t appreciate it, I don’t like your ass.”
I don't think they actually dislike eachother, I think it's just fake drama to sell the fight/banter.
Logan Butler
charlo won a clear 7 rounds in the first fight and i gave him 8.
>tfw I have to photoshop my dick a little bigger to send to my gf
Lucas Smith
it was hilarious when Harrison called him a soft nigga though cause he cried
Nathaniel Bell
I had charlo winning as well but they were acting like it wasn't close
Nathan Clark
i wonder if jermell had won then jermalls fight would have been scored properly. it felt like the judges scored it way unfairly to make up for jermells loss.
Honestly dazn fucking sucks! I don’t want to pay 20 bucks a month for 1 year. They have no content in their site. Boxing fights are not every month. There like every 3 months. The app design to look at stuff is fucking ugly. They should put sports movies in the app or what espn does report sports news, have reality tv shows about Canelo, ggg, Ryan Garcia, AJ ect.... I rather just pay one time fee for a fight I just want to watch.
You /box/ anons are fags. Mikey is not a bum. It’s a charity fight. I don’t why you guys love loma more than Mikey. Probably because he’s brown you guys hate him.
David Murphy
Jermell is getting outboxed by Harrison.
Connor Peterson
mikey garcia is a BUM
John Rogers
I gotta ask, are you the same argentinian who used to post here a lot in 2015?
Kayden Bailey
>2015 the maidana days?
Dominic Anderson
Dude, he's a BUM
Leo Parker
Dubois Gorman announced looking forward to it, personally
Posted wrong image Fury is number 2 so there's logic to it but for Whyte that is a fucking hard fight to go into with no belt, he should go the WBO route
Grayson Torres
Leave then. And don't come back
Xavier Campbell
The fight generated more than the purses according to Dan Rafael >a source with knowledge of the figures told ESPN, adding that the fight generated more revenue in new subscriptions than the roughly $48 million cost of the main event espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41064029-4
Tyler Flores
Maybe I will faggot. Boxingscene is better hell reddit boxing is way better than you BUMS in /box/ bunch off lil g fans, Canelo hating, calling a 3 division champion Mikey Garcia a BUM, no sex incels.
Xavier Cox
Good fight and hopefully it's Joyce next, think Dubois will power his way through but can see him dropping the early rounds
Tbh I'm happy the Wbc ordered Loma Campbell. One fight away from an undisputed champ.
Juan Cooper
Yup. If it went to Haney then he wouldn't do anything with that belt. At least Loma is unifying and I don't think he'll hold onto all the belts for long
Aaron Thompson
Gorman getting thrown to the wolves
John Long
Yes but he's gonna fight a total bum as a result
Nathaniel Russell
/boxdreams/ >GGG vs Rolls starts >Rolls is old as fuck, looking 60 >its a 4 fighter battle royale in the same ring, no one understands why >I am one of them >the ref draws a square with peanut butter in the center of the ring >no one understands why neither >as I try to ask the ref why, he signals to start the fight >I try to get to Rolls but I realize I have that retarded cordination we have on dreams >oh fuck.jpg >as I try to make a stance, Golovkin looks at me >oh no oh no oh no >Rolls slips in the butter and falls >there it is, my escape >as I go to pretend to do the same, GGG grabs me by the leg mid air and stomps my liver >as I look to the big screen to see the replay, they are showing Liverpool vs Barça >wake up What does it mean?
Colton Martinez
Probably but he will be in a big fight by the end of the year. Either he'll fight Joshua as mandatory or if Whyte is fighting Joshua instead and he needs more time then it'll be someone like Povetkin
Gavin Thompson
fuck off normalfaggot redditor
Easton Parker
honestly how do they justify this? can they not get sued for it?
Jaxon Ortiz
It's #1 vs #2 hard to argue against. Whyte either takes the fight and loses a decision or he goes off and fights Joshua. Either way Fury becomes mandatory and that means Al has Ortiz > Kownacki > Fury lined up for Wilder and doesn't have to allow him onto DAZN until it's past the sell by date
They should order this, Fury won’t accept because ESPN want to showcase him for at least 2 more fights and Whyte will be allowed to go for Wilder
Matthew Wood
but Fury refused the initial rematch so how has Whyte been made to fight Fury in a final eliminator this reeks of corruption
Eli Wright
I think they would take it. Rivas is a physically demanding fight so Whyte wouldn't be ready until November/December. Bob will be thinking same arrangement as with Loma vs Campbell, Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and ESPN in the US as UK PPV isn't contracted to DAZN. That's not what Eddie Hearn wants at all, all his thoughts are on the US market
Justin Morales
>I don’t why you guys love loma more than Mikey
well lets see
one guy fights for world titles in his second pro fight and continues to try and fight the best competition available to him
the other guy wastes 2 years of his prime because waaahhhh uncle bob take too much money and then pulls one of the worst, backfiring ducks in the history of the sport
Grayson Hall
>because waaahhhh uncle bob take too much money You know that just because your favorite fighter is with Bob Arum, you don't have to pretend that kike is in the right, right?
Adam Bennett
my favorite fighter is with haymon actually
mikey is still retarded for that. why sign a contract if you don't intend on fulfilling it?
Sebastian Watson
Just saw Carl Froch in Notts. He's taller thanI thought he would be. Looks like a cunt
Chase Cook
Warren is objectively the best promoter in the game.
Caleb Sanchez
Bye Pedro
Carter Flores
Just saw this manlet incel freak staring at me today, must have been a groves fan
Anthony Morgan
But Mikey Garcia IS a BUM
Joseph James
Nice one Cobra
Ayden Gomez
>mikey is still retarded for that. why sign a contract if you don't intend on fulfilling it? Why stay in a contract where you're getting ripped off? In the end he made far more money than he would have with Arum.
Nolan Kelly
I hope a one off conjob fight was worth it. He's a laughing stock and now everyone knows what /box/ has been saying all along, namely that Mikey Garcia is a BUM.
Aiden Martinez
>Bob will be thinking same arrangement as with Loma vs Campbell All depends on which place he thinks will make more money. Everyone here thought Loma would fight Crolla in the UK.
Its not really gay desu. If you see how Wilder is and observe his behavior, its very much a representation of who he is. A primal voodoo worshipper from Africa. That truly is his final form. If you saw that irl, you'd think you were in the heart of darkness.
Jace Campbell
say hi to your alcoholic brother for me, u big nosed cunt
Luke Morales
>But either way, the fight won't be on DAZN That's the main point. It could be in the US on ESPN for the money and for BT to have UK rights, DAZN aren't going to bid for a fight involving 2 Brits that sets nothing up for them and all Eddie cares about is DAZN so this is a bad fight because it doesn't serve DAZN and bad because Dillian would lose it whilst setting up another option for Haymon that isn't Joshua
white fighters ALWAYS get overhyped in any sport except for maybe hockey since that's all white people anyway.
Adam Gray
what? are you serious? I'm Mexican and let me tell you they fucking LOVE Mayweather. Pacquiao is the one they hate.
Jaxson Flores
Back in the og /box/ threads I remember an Argentinean used to post here a lot
Parker Lee
Lomachenko isn't 'white', he's Ukranian. If anyone gets overhyped its blackies w/ their 'muh ghetto struggle' stories spammed over and over again by the hebrew production teams at espn and hbo
Please. He took the form of Demon Crow King wilder to oppose Fury and complete his resurrection. When they next fight, it wont be Wilder who steps in the ring but the Bronze Bomber
Reminder that Ali was a BUM and Klitschko is the HW GOAT.
Bentley Fisher
Wilder would have iced that stiff idiot klitschko.
Jace Cruz
Has nothing to do w/ slavs. the term 'white' is a political designation invented to demonize and marginalize people of European descent. It must be rejected.
Hunter Nguyen
No he would get dropped.
Nicholas Howard
Wilder is the best HW right now so yes he probably would've beaten the elderly Klitschko whereas that bum AJ got put on his seat by the elderly Klitschko.
Ayden Wilson
loma couldn't even beat the crackwhore 99% discount version of him in Salido.
Kayden Richardson
We are truly blessed to be living at the same time that Usyk is fighting professionally
how much do u guys think this fag gets paid to shill on here all day or does he do it for free?
Zachary Carter
>Wilder is the best HW right now
Imagine believing this just because some obsessed nigger keeps spamming him in this thread.
Dylan Fisher
The Secret Association for the Advancement of Israelites pays me $1.00 a pop everytime I utter the words "Mikey Garcia is a BUM!" and "Lomachenko is an edomite."
Juan Wilson
Mikey Garcia is a _______
Asher Evans
Wilder is a 100% can
AJ sparks that clown in the 4th, and Fury 120-108s him in the rematch
Michael Ortiz
Only fury beats him. A chinlet like AJ stands no chance
Chase Harris
>letting other people sway your beliefs >ever He sleeps AJ, and he already slept Fury who got an 12 count. I want to put Usyk up there too but I'll wait for him to prove himself at HW first, shouldn't be hard for him.
Cooper Myers
>"I only hold opinions because other people tell me them, that means you must too!" The absolute state of projecting Eurocucks.
Imagine being this stupid about boxing. Imagine being this stupid about geography.
Owen Jones
are you the phinsfriend from /nfl/
John Collins
You're so desperate to believe something about Wilder that you ignore reality. Sorry man, Fury got up and actually won the rest of the round. I don't even rate the fat fuck but it just shows what a BUM wilder is that he couldn't beat this tub of shit.
Andrew Perry
Nope, I'm a BrownsBro >Fury got up Yes, due to the long count. >actually won the rest of the round. Wilder was shook because he was robbed of a win (like any other self-respecting boxer would be).
Lincoln Miller
It wasn't really a long count if you compare the time from when he hits the ground to when he is up it is just within the time and Wilder sort of danced around and didn't go to his corner, which would delay it.
>they're still talking about wilder and fury Yikes
Hudson Cook
Quints confirm
Justin Reyes
pathetic
Jacob Green
The count wasn't delayed from that though, Reiss never stopped the count to usher Wilder into the corner. In fact, Reiss flat out ADMITS that he gave Fury a longer count than usual because he knows Heavyweights are bigger and take a little longer to get up when they do finally start moving. You can even see the moment where he delays the count for Fury.
But you're not supposed to do that just because someone is big and fat. You either make the 10 count or you don't and under a normal count Fury gets declared a KO.
Nolan Harris
I am convinced no one in this general actively watches boxing
Jacob Allen
The heavyweight division doesn't merit any serious discussion
Caleb Brooks
>he thinks this is how the fight ended
its all about myths with you "people"
Connor Williams
>Everything outside the Heavyweight division doesn't merit serious discussion FTFY To quote Fury "You can put Chocolate Tits ontop of Bumlovkin and they still wouldn't beat me."
Benjamin Wright
>HWs get mentioned >thread goes to shit Like fucking clockwork
my opinion is that this was a fixed fight. Both guys were getting left behind in the shadow of Joshua and needed to get a much needed profile boost. One way to do this is to stage their own fight where both guys get the profile boost needed to compete w/ Joshua while not actually losing any value. So they set up a draw. Complete w/ dramatic 12th round just for good measure. This is boxing. This is how these things often work.
Nolan Sullivan
BOTH of their behavior after the fight affirms this theory too. Wilder already has plans that don't involve Fury and Fury went to ESPN to do his own thing. So it worked out for them both.
I'm telling you as much as they complain about the wilder bait poster, they secretly like him cause it allows them to continue to this pointless conversation. Its always the same posters too
Angel Gomez
The heavyweight revival has brought in tons of casuals and they only ever want to talk about heavyweights. I see it across all boxing forums. Its made worse by the boxing media publishing every word that comes out of a hw's mouth even if its complete garbage because they know it drives more views
Ian Wright
*turns down 100M* Embarrassing
William Barnes
>The heavyweight revival They're all BUMS. One of the worst divisions next to 140
Anthony Sanchez
I am convinced most posters here haven't watched boxing for more than a year. So far thus year has been average but not as shit as people are claiming. 2018 was just the biggest year for boxing this decade.
Camden Moore
This makes me wonder again .... What's everyone's first fight they remember watching? For me its De La Hoya vs Vargas at a fight party way back in 2002
Ayden Hall
it's more that all the exciting fights ended up being letdowns
Henry Martin
Everyone is gonna roll their eyes but my dad ordered Tyson-Holyfield 2 back in the day
Alexander Mitchell
Its embarrassing how much posters here rate heavyweights as p4p good. Its like no one remembers the debate over how big of deal klits size was. The 2 guys who beat him were of course bigger men so its honestly been validated
Logan Smith
Why would they roll their eyes? The hype was huge, everyone saw it
Zachary Taylor
saying heavyweights can't ever possibly be p4p is manlet cope, especially if you r8 usyk top5
Robert Johnson
I didn't say all. The current batch of super heavyweights shouldn't.
Dominic Bailey
They can be, but the HW division right now is too top heavy, and the top dogs aren't doing anything interesting but fighting cans instead of trying to unify
Gabriel Sullivan
if AJ beat fury, wilder or ortiz you could make the argument for him being top10
he ended up breaking povetkin down in the end, that's like saying mayweather looked poor against judah because he lost the first rounds
Carson Gomez
Why is there so much hate for Mikey Garcia here? I mean the guy is a 4 division champion in the top 5 p4p. He looks good and has lots of charisma and isn't afraid of anybody. And no he's not ducking Lomachenko who lost to Salido that I easily beat. And so what if he lost to Spence he was daring to be great. How many fighters nowadays can you say will jump up 2 weight classes? You guys are just haters.
Awwww man youre going to get the Lomachenk fans angry and crying about too many X shills again. Leave them to their circlejerk
Colton Bell
It annoys me how people complete ignore him walking through Povetkin just because he got his nose broke in the first round. Nobody has ever dominated Povetkin like that before.
his performance against Salido was shit crying on his stool about a cut lmao get out of here with that gay shit
Liam Williams
The state of this guy's life.
Jaxon Perez
but he dropped Salido 4 times and won loma dropped him zero times and lost
Liam Edwards
fuck off out of here about lomachenko when have I mentioned him at all
Landon Ramirez
is lomachenko a bum?????
Kevin Parker
I was impressed that you were not slept by spence, you're a very basic fighter but I like you, keep it up amigo
Landon Phillips
>DAZN was up to 4 million worldwide subscribers last year “DAZN’s revenue also increased by 136.2 per cent from 2017 to 2018, hitting US$277.6 million. The service also saw its income from selling advertising rise by 4.4 per cent to US$77.2 million” Bruh DAZN is overpaying fighters!
Henry Reed
Povetkin slowed down. He absolutely did not walk through Povetkin, he clearly had trouble with distance and movement of povetkin. This is what I'm saying. The ko has erased every bad moment of the fight in the minds of nonobjective viewers
Austin Edwards
>Povetkin slowed down
Yeah after Joshua fucking sparked him.
Brayden Wright
More like because he's 40 years old and hasn't been on his PEDs for years
Jackson Bennett
and? he lost like 3 rounds to a good fighter Usyk lost about as many to Bellew
Luke Scott
Like the other user said. He's 40 years old. He struggled. It's not the only fight he's shown flaws in but Joshua gets treated as if he dominates every opponent, when its just not true.
Adrian Lopez
This can happen with entire fights. Pacquiao-Morales comes to mind
Jordan Bailey
A 37 year old Klitschko gave up literally zero rounds across 3 scorecards against Povetkin, meanwhile Joshua got wobbled by a 40 year old Povetkin. That's pretty sad.
no he doesn't the Klitschko fight was back and forth, he was knocked down heavily and losing at the time of the ko being edged out in a couple rounds and losing one by a decent margin is not a black stain on his career
Joshua Bell
I guess it seemed like a boring, predictable answer. But yeah, even as a kid I remember the hype being off the fucking charts
Gavin Gomez
>The ko has erased every bad moment of the fight in the minds of nonobjective viewers That seems to be the case for most of Joshua's fights. It doesn't matter how poorly he fights against opposition he shouldn't struggle with, what's remembered is the fact that he got the KO.
Even Dillian Whyte vs Lucas Browne was like this. There were some moments where Whyte looked truly shit in that fight, but the knockout erases every criticism.
literally what is your point you're going over fights we have both seen and remember whilst making shit points we already know
Andrew Rivera
See you're not even understanding my post. I'm saying Joshua is wildly overrated, not that he's shit. He's shown flaws against all his top opponents yet he's treated as if he dominated each fight. I'm not talking just about Povetkin.
Jaxson Barnes
is lomachenko a bum tho
Isaiah Green
your ducking my question like lomachenko is ducking teofimo lopez
Austin Lee
Does that zoomer faggot teofimo even have a belt? Or is he too busy fortnite dancing and sucking dick to get one?
Noah Hill
what question
Ethan Young
see how mad will you be when lopez dabs on lomachenkos unconcsious body?????
Brody Kelly
The more Joshua fights the less impressive he looks. Miller was chosen because they knew he would look amazing no matter what
Brandon Perez
no lomachenko is not a bum, nor is any of his opponents (except rigondeaux) unlike a certain dabbing honduran
Gabriel Gray
loma would win a 12-0 UD against lopez
Joseph Morgan
duckey garcia
Wyatt Nguyen
Youre fucking gay. Fix your hairline you BUM. Lomachenko would murk u
John Green
oh shit boxingscene posters have finally discovered Yea Forums
orale homes mikey got that aztec blood in him he a tru warrior wey fuck these hatin ass pinche levas
Josiah Miller
if loma isnt a bum then how come he lose to salido lopez would ko lomachenko and floss in front of his father
Jackson Parker
Vasilly Lomachenko lies face first on the canvas in the centre of the ring. He isn't moving.
Tessitore is screaming. Ward is struggling to get a word in. The crowd chants Fortnite. You don't take any of it in, your glare focuses on Vasilly's cold, lifeless body. How could this happen? Did he get old? A bad night? Maybe he just wasn't that good, but you can't believe it.
The good times come rushing back. The knockout of Crolla. The showdown with Rigondeaux. The relief when the judges gave it to Vasilly over Pedraza. The goofy post fight interviews, and all the hours spent celebrating, defending your man on the internet. He was nothing like you'd ever seen, you said. He was great for boxing, you're too young to have seen Tyson, Hearns and Gatti you said, but you had Vasilly you said. A sadness washes over you, it's gone now, in the end, did it really mean anything?
are we really going to have to put up with ebin copypastas of teofimo lopez the guy isn't going to have a big fight for at least 5 years, wait until he has one scheduled before spamming
Benjamin Kelly
>You must consult with me before you start memeing No thanks buddy. Lopez is the future of boxing, i'm getting a head start.
kek, boxingscene was a fucking joke when I first found it a dozen years ago. There was another now-defunct forum, I forget the name, but some guy claiming to be Butterbean's sparring partner posted there and got trolled relentlessly when he name-dropped "Eric" and told sparring stories
Why are boxing forums all so terrible
Adam Sanchez
>the guy isn't going to have a big fight for at least 5 years
uncle bob is 87, he's pushing all his young guys like lopez and shakur to be stars asap
it might backfire but bob doesn't give a fuck he'll be dead soon
I really don't understand that mod on ESB who scores literally every fight from around the world, yet openly admits biases and posts cards that have no relation to what's happening in the ring, making the whole exercise a waste of time
Colton Sanders
Because boxing fans are not edgy like mma fans
Liam Campbell
I don't even hold that fight against him since he doesn't fight that way anymore. His team has tried to change him into a more technical klitschko-like boxer now but its clear he's just not that good at it. He has problems judging distance and landing his shots at range. I really wonder why and the only answer is maybe they're concerned about his stamina and his chin.
Lucas Rivera
I haven't been on ESB since it was called ESB. Even then the forums were pretty shit
you're parrotting the most basic bitch casual opinion in the world ricky hatton? canelo? diego corrales? gatti?
Brayden Cox
I bet if floyd didn't beat gatti, casuals who only watched gatti-ward would say "floyd was scared to fight these guys, he'd be ktfo"
Hunter Miller
i mean he did cherry pick his opponents. look at the records of the people he fought after he fought them. starting as early as genaro hernandez and angel manfredy to zab judah, ricky hatton, victor ortiz, roberto guerrero, andre berto
Hunter Ward
>starting as early as genaro hernandez you mean the genaro hernandez that only has one loss to another ATG, and was undefeated in the weight class? yeah those other names aren't the greatest wins in the world (still impressive) but you cant say floyd "never fought anyone in their prime"
Aaron Allen
no, people think that of him for not rematching oscar, fighting cotto when he was undefeated, and not fighting margarito or paul williams
Cameron Bailey
the dude has fucking 38 wins and less by ko, are you calling him an atg or something? i'm calling him someone who got by.
also, every single fighter cherry picks to a certain degree. name one fighter that only fought top competition in their prime you people are literally never satisfied. why should he rematch oscar? especially since fishnets clearly had one of the judges paid off, considering the SD. plus, floyd always dominated rematches margarito was a disgusting cheater, fuck him cotto being undefeated wouldn't have made a difference, especially since he wasn't with manny steward yet paul williams never fought top competition, but fine it sucks they never fought. what do you want me to say? floyd ducked paul williams? lmao no, im saying he lost to oscar, who is an atg. yeah genaro wasn't super amazing elite, but he was literally floyds first title win and genaro wasn't the biggest pushover either. hes one of the few people floyd fought with a longer reach than himself too.
Sebastian Jones
is that the drive jacket?
Gabriel Stewart
>name one fighter that only fought top competition in their prime Ali
Chase Parker
oscar did deserve a rematch and he could have fought paul williams but floyd did pretty much everything else possible to manifest his position as TBE so it doesn't matter
Imagine being this much of a contrarian. You've officially outed yourself as a casual toothpaste
Christopher Robinson
fuck oscar, dont support blatantly corrupt fighters and you're a madman if you think paul williams would have beaten floyd. people literally will look for any unsolved variable and say 'floyd would have lost'.
Sebastian Reed
Kek truly /ourguy/
Michael Rivera
is nas beat barrerra and then retired, people would be saying that nas would have beaten floyd and that floyd ducked him
Liam Bailey
The best win of his career was against Prime undefeated Chico Corrales you casuals
he should have rematched oscar because it was a very close fight but the nigger got locked up. but you can make up shit like oscar paid off judges. Margarito as far as anyone knows only cheated in teh fight with mosley. and there is no proof he cheated before or after that. cotto prior to margarito was a different beast but ok whatever you wnant to believe. im sure you're the same kind of guy who says canelo waited for ggg to get old before he fought him. genaro is literally a who. floyd will be known for being monkey fast and boxing people but in the grand scheme of thing, after many many years, people will look at his record and say who was sharmba mitchell?
Bentley Parker
except floyd called out nas after the corrales fight and even merchant said nas wouldn't do it >you can make up shit like oscar paid off judges. you act like thats a controversial thing to say. >Margarito as far as anyone knows only cheated in teh fight with mosley you're dumb >genaro is literally a who casual scum >after many many years, people will look at his record and say who was sharmba mitchell? you're cherry picking floyds record
Brandon Morales
anyone know what Daigo Higa is up to? he vanished after losing his title
Owen Wood
beheaded as is their custom for fighters that miss weighteru
Jackson White
>never fought anyone in their prime Castillo? Corrales? Hatton? Ortiz?
Wyatt Walker
>Who was Manny Pacquiao? >Who was Oscar De La Hoya? >Who was Canelo? If there's one thing Mayweather's resume doesn't lack, it's names. You can't make both the argument that a lot of his wins are "literal whos" but then also make the argument that people in the future will somehow discern that Mayweather apparently didn't fight the likes of Pacquiao or Canelo at their best. The two arguments are mutually exclusive, either the mythical future people know their shit or they do not.
This is just bait anyways, dunno why i'm giving it (You)s
>If there's one thing Mayweather's resume doesn't lack, it's names. It lacks names in their primes. Nobody says it lacks names.
Jordan Reed
man, time fucking flies,it's already been 1 year since his last fight, feels like yesterday
Landon Carter
thoughts?
Landon Gutierrez
hes gonna say pac and dlh were too old, but canelo was too young this is the cognitive dissonance of the casual boxing fan
Evan Edwards
Probably still suspended. The Japanese take missing weight very seriously. It's a shame, because I felt he was the second most talented Japanese fighter today. He really should've just fought a tin can if he was going to rush to fight on Murata's undercard.
The three names he will be remembered for are Pac, Canelo and Oscar. He didn't fight any of them at their peak, unlike fighters from eras before him.
Lucas Thomas
its dumb because everyone with a 50 fight record has fought some bums, its not like ali fought joe in his debut either
Mason Wood
>Still didn't read my entire post Lmfao dumb Br*tbum. Who wants to take bets on whether or not this is the pedophile looking for (You)s?
Gavin Williams
A guy who was active for 20 years and you can scrape together a list of a dozen names, one of them being Andre fucking Berto. Truly the best resume of all time. Give me a break.
Gabriel Wilson
after >oscar fought stevie forbs and got obliterated by pac >hatton beat paulie and got destroyed by pac >marquez moved up two weight division to fight floyd >mosley drew with sergio mora and got beat by canelo, manny, (arguably)cano, mundine >ortiz we know what happened there >cotto would go on to lose to trout and then coast until canelo >roberto guerrero nobody >canelo canelo was 22 >maidana had no interest in boxing and retired for good after floyd >manny post death >berto lol >mcgregor LOL
Jose King
>The three names he will be remembered for are Pac, Canelo and Oscar. Only by casuals. Only because he was money mayweather, having already proven he was the best.
Josiah Anderson
>The three names he will be remembered for are Pac, Canelo and Oscar. because those fighters had the best marketing and biggest casual support it doesn't mean floyd didn't still fight elite historical names. he TKO'd corrales, a man who hadn't even been knocked down before let alone defeated. or chavez, but people still consider him to be an ATG
Austin Carter
That's his legacy, whether you like it or not. 3 big names, 0 in their primes.
Samuel Morales
so who did you want him to fight instead of those guys. name some guys he didnt fight that you would have wanted to see, and that he would have either lost to or had close fights with.
Evan Turner
>beat paulie and got destroyed by pac no, floyd beat hatton before pac. hatton was undefeated, thats why the heading on all the posters was "undefeated" stopped reading there, casual
Luis Allen
Corrales was a weight bully plodder and a style layup for him, it's a big sexy win on paper but not some historical event.
No it was a big event you fucking casual. Mayweather fucking schooled him badly in a fight that people thought was going to be close
Christopher Mitchell
lmao
Xavier Powell
>beating these top tier talented fighters means less because they went on to lose in the future yeah because pac has a more exciting style to casuals that only wanna see KO's. thats all
Isaac Foster
>ricky hatton
Ah yes the great Ricky Hatton who got knocked out in two rounds by the superior fighter, Manny Pacquiao.
>Canelo Ah yes, Because every fighter in history reaches their prime at the age of 23.
>corrales
LMFAO
>Gatti
LMFAO
Nice "resume" for the "Best Ever"
>Castillo? Corrales? Hatton? Ortiz?
LMFAO. Is this really the resume of "The best ever"? Pacquiao actually beat guys in their prime like Morrales, Barerra, Marquez, Cotto, Margarito and many more. Most by KO too.
Meanwhile, """""""tbe""""""""" ducked everyone on that list, had to force Marquez, a natural lightweight, to fight him at super welterweight and Cotto 3 years after Pacquiao ruined him.
Floyd is the best managed fighter in history, I'll give him that. But besides that, he's average. Pacquiao? Now that was a warrior. ALways put it on the line. Avenged his losses and won by KO. Didn't need to pay off any judges and gave the fans what they wanted. A legend of the sport who's still fighting hard to this day...meanwhile GAYweather will slowly fade away into irrelevancy...
Andrew Russell
People thought Corrales was going to win. It was the last time Mayweather was an underdog in a fight. Corrales was still incredibly limited as a fighter and got by on physical gifts more than skills. It's a very good win, but it's not the end-all be-all of wins.
Ian Gray
One time is gonna ruin that legacy
Joshua Wright
No, because Pac has a better resume on paper
Liam Diaz
>Ah yes the great Ricky Hatton who got knocked out in two rounds by the superior fighter, Manny Pacquiao. >maybe they won't notice it was after mayweather took his soul
Dominic Diaz
pac used PED's and lost to floyd despite an age advantage now go ahead, make your excuse, casual scum everyone watch this toothpaste flag make an excuse
Thomas Martin
He's going to unify the division. Fuck Porter. Fuck Spence. Fuck Crawford.
Asher Johnson
truly a guy with 7 losses including horn, bradley, some literal whos and 118-110 to mayweather is better than mayweather
>floyds wins only count if the fighter is in his prime, was undefeated before floyd, fought top names as well before floyd, and went on to fight more top names and remained undefeated besides the floyd loss name another fighter that casuals hold to this standard besides floyd?
Connor Baker
Duran has 16 losses and is greater than Mayweather.
Connor Parker
ok this is based.
Cameron Cooper
>Giving all these (You)s to a baiter.
Henry Kelly
No excuses needed. Everyone knows Pacquiao in his prime kills Mayweather, not even up for debate lmfao. I guess Marquez is a much better fighter than GAYweather too becasue he actually KO'd Pacquiao instead of running away.
Nice cope. Hatton was never elite. GAYweather ran scared after Pacquiao KO'd Hatton because Hatton actually rocked GAYweather in their fight.
>muh recoooord
Yep. Nice job fighting bums and old men, """""""tbe"""""""
Evan Barnes
>holding Floyd to the standards set by greats in the past like Leonard, Robinson, Ali, etc is unfair stop crying
Jayden Baker
floyd would have no mas'd duran. floyd's style counters duran's almost exactly like srl's did
Camden Peterson
I dont understand. Earlier in the thread you rated joshua but he only has one win against a 40 year old man where he almost lost. How can you rate joshua but not mayweather?
Austin Nelson
why do people act like floyd was in his prime for all the fights? he had a 20 year prime huh. sounds like something a GOAT would do
Jonathan Nelson
That's a hypothetical. What is reality is that Duran is greater than Mayweather.
Eli Martin
I'm not here calling Joshua TBE. His legacy won't be shit.
Grayson Ward
so mayweather wouldnt have beaten everyone pacman lost to?
youre a retard
Jacob Carter
to casuals, yeah
Jackson Sanders
No, to everyone.
Ayden Torres
Yes because he's a managed hypejob.
Angel Hernandez
>I guess Marquez is a much better fighter than GAYweather too becasue he actually KO'd Pacquiao instead of running away. its like you're parodying your own reasoning now just stop not to me
Mason Myers
your unpopular opinion isnt reality. heres reality.
no doubt you will complain about this impartial list, but go look up every other list and floyd will be ahead of duran
Kinda embarrassing how FRAUD GAYWEATHER went 12 rounds with this absolute bum who got knocked out by Marquez and lost to Bradley...just how weak is Fraud's resume when you examine it?
>loses to Castillo >nearly get's knocked out by a journeyman, Augustus >gets rocked by Zab fucking Judah >loses to De La Hoya >gets rocked by Ricky fucking Hatton >loses to Maidana >loses rounds against an MMA fighter
You know, I don't know anything about Netherlands. Their name holds no weight. How can you claim to be on my level when they've never produced a champ? Netherlands still has strap problems. They're looking for a pay day. They're desperate. How can they claim anything even though they've been beat? They don't have the blueprint. 50 have already tried, 50 have come up short.
BoxRec isn't just impartial, it's illogical. Unless you think there is an actual argument that exists for Monzon to be #3 all-time P4P (there isn't).
Hudson Thompson
You know, like I said before, at the end of the day, it's a process, and I dedicated myself to the sport of shitposting. I dedicated myself to my craft. To the sport of shitposting. 19 years a shitposting champion, in 5 different boards, I've been on top. You know, I'm truly blessed. My team, they did a tremendous job, you know, Al Haymon, I gotta thank Al Haymon, my uncle Roger, my father, they did a tremendous job. I gotta thank God.
Like I said before, the Money Team is a movement, and Mayweather Promotions are the past, present and future of /box/. When you talk /box/, you talking Floyd Mayweather. Reddit's name carries no weight. They don't sell on Pay-per-view. Come back to me when you make $250 Million off of shitposting in one night. Like I said before, it's a process, and the Money Team is going on to better things.
Hard work and dedication, I'm truly blessed, thank you.
Before I respond to this post, I just wanna thank God...I wanna thank Al Haymon. I wanna thank my team, they did a tremendous job. And you know, like I said before, it's a blessing to be here. UK is a hell of a poster. He's a strong, young champion that can't be overlooked. And I've gotta respect that.
fights a nigga with a glass chin admit it middleweigth division in the 90s was soft as fuck
Levi Scott
Floyd Mayweather is a blessing, I tip my hat to him.
Before Money Mayweather came into my life, I was lost, I had nowhere to go. But Floyd taught me about hard work and dedication. He taught me how to dedicate myself to my craft. Becoming a part of the Money Team was the turning point for me, like I said before, I owe my life to Money May.
Today I went out and bought a couple HUBLOT watches, the finest watchmakers in the world. Then afterwards I fitted my wardrobe with some new RALPH LAUREN clothes. I look flashy, I look like a champion. You can now call me A-money-mous. Because I get that cash, I strive for it. I love my family, and I provide for them.
Damn. I was wondering how many posters from back then are still here
Bentley Rodriguez
Floyd has 2
Adrian Anderson
I may be going senile but I'm sure /box/ come after the 2016 Olympics I remember we couldn't keep threads alive in the beginning
Grayson Rogers
Cinnabum is guilty of weight draining fighters too
Elijah Johnson
His left against Lara seems terrible. Am I missing some tactical thing or is it just terrible?
Robert King
it was here for Fury Klitschko I'm sure
Jose Lee
It started in 2015. I remember I used to post back then. It may have died off in between 2015 and 2016 and came back I don't remember but it was definitely around in 2015 in general form. Kippers was around back then too. He's an og /box/poster
Brody Richardson
2015 or 2014 don't exactly remember. Mayweather-Pacquiao added a bunch new posters
Dominic Mitchell
Reminder that he charged $80 to spar the skeleton on Chavez Jr
Logan Fisher
There were a couple failed attempts at making a general and it finally stuck after Ward-Kovalev 1
Carter Morales
I posted here and there, didn't start posting daily till around the time of Ward vs Kovalev 1
Jacob Moore
>finally stuck after Ward-Kovalev 1 Hahaha im /box/ really stuck to me around that time
Michael Scott
>he doesnt remember me making a general for the broner vs molina fight
holy fuck its been 4 years
Jack Lee
Yeah I'm pretty sure it had trouble staying bumped in 2016 and the olympics also killed it for a while. But then its been constant since Ward kovalev
Kayden Rogers
Bro broner molina was on the Mayweather Maidana card. Which holy shit was in 2014.
Brandon Ward
I definitely remember it being around before the olympics.
Angel Rogers
My memory of it is that Ward-Kova brought in a bunch of new American posters and UK posters kept it alive at night as Joshua got big around the same time
I think the UK posters came along with the british scene's revival. Froch Groves 2 was mid 2014 and then british scene was rising. /box/ used to be majority US at the start. There also used to be more tripfags but that's a Yea Forums trend in general
James Ramirez
I'm just talking about the final general that stuck. But yeah, that's true if you include the fight night only days
Michael Ortiz
Not a gay costume at all. It's fucking intimidating to me man.
Owen Martin
>he's not ducking Lomachenko who lost to Salido that I easily beat >I easily beat Hello Mikey Bumcia!
Caleb James
Augustus may have been a journeyman, but that was by choice. He was a high-tier fighter, probably the strongest journeyman that has ever existed man.
