Has their ever been a more overrated faggot or bigger fraud in the history of football? Lets see...
> Cheated way to WC win in 1986 > Won 2 (two) Seria A with Napoli. Whoop de fucking do. > 1 (one) CL / Euro Win, 1 Coppa Italia >never scored more than 20 league goals a season in a relevant league > Literal coked-up 5'5 manlet
Yet, somehow is rated as the 1st , or 2nd best footballer of ALL TIME amongst boomers who have watched a few youtube highlights of his goals. He was only good for about 3/4 years. Pls explain?
At least Messi/Ronaldo have been goat for 10+ years, Won 4+ UCLs, 8+ League titles and got to multiple finals at least with their NT... Ronaldinho, R9, Messi, CR7, Zidane all shit over this fat cunt.
You can't be the GOAT if you spent your career playing for Napoli and Boca Juniors
Grayson Wilson
Shit thead >making a little team like Napoli be 2 times Serie A champions >demerit And a shit post
Jayden Edwards
He was clearly a very good player but I think the plaudits he receives, and the suggestion that Messi will forever be in his shadow ability wise is nothing short of absurd
Landon Brown
>little team like Napoli >sign the so called """"GOAT"""" Either they were not so little after all or the """"GOAT"""" needs to pick his teams better
Maradona never won the CL, also 1 WC = 30 CL. The WC is the pinnacle of football, if you win it as a leader/best player on the team it automatically qualified you for goat status. The fact that messhit can’t win a WC let alone a copa disqualifies him for goat. >B-but h-his stats Wow...who could forget all his goals and assists against 10 man Eibar and betis lol. >Ballon d’or’s!!! You mean the trophy Michael Owen, Nedved (good player but definitely didn’t deserve it) and Modric won lol? >4 ucl’s!!! Which UCL specifically? The first 2 where is was complete and utter refball, or the other 2 where Xavi and Iniesta forcefully had to carry Messi’s choking ass?
Thomas Rogers
People say this because Maradona was basically unchokable and Messi always chokes with Argentina and games where Barcelona is losing. When Napoli signed him he wasnt even a candidate for GOAT, dude. He was "just" an incredible player. Using Ballon dor to judge Maradona is retarded because in the 80s only europeans could get a Ballon dor. And I think Maradona could win a pile of Champions League If he played for Madrid or Milan but winning 2 Serie A with Napoli is already magical. And Serie A was the best league
Justin Watson
The 1980s was a horrible era to play in if you were an attacker. The game was at its most defensive, players could go in for leg breaking tackles and get away with it, there was only 2 points for a win making draws more desirable, pitches were mostly shit, there was no backpass rule etc.
Maradona's achievements will always be more impressive to me than Messi and Cristiano's due to the era and teams he had to do it in.
Robert Cruz
As true your post is, it disgusts me to feel helpless about it being bait.

t. morons
so in your opinion Giroud is better than Messi then ? because Giroud won the WC and Messi didn't
get real, it's completely fucking irrelevant, what you contribute on the pitch matters most if you constantly create like fucking 10+ goal opportunities per game like Messi does most of the time, then you obviously are the best if no one else comes even close to that amount, and no one does
maybe you should watch some football instead of braindeadly copying random memes like "maradona and pele are the best", fucking braindead idiots, if you watch all pele games all maradona games and all messi games you will easily come to the conclusion that messi is the best player of all time
Hudson Sanders
Do you think maradona just walked around the pitch doing nothing or something?
Jaxson Thompson
>Giroud You clearly don’t understand, gypsy. I clearly said THE LEADER/BEST PLAYER of the team. Messi is extremely inconsistent and doesn’t show up in big moments. >I-it’s a team sport Messi has always had stacked teams >It’s not Messi’s fault!!1! Does it fucking matter? In order to EVEN be considered as a GOAT you HAVE to, HAVE to have won a WC, a Euro or Copa, a Supercup, a CL, a ballon d’or, a FIFA world player of the year, a World Cup ballon d’or, and must have played in 2 or more leagues.
Wyatt Wilson
>football player >is the GOAT because scored a hand goal Really makes you think
Jace Williams
thought he was carrying a stack of pizzas in the thumbnaiil
kind of disappointed 2bh

you are a stupid zoomer. Napoli has not won a league since Maradona left, Maradona singlehandedly lifted a mediocre team to great team status with his presence, neither Messi nor Cristiano have ever done that. Winning the Bundesliga twice with Schalke is a greater achievement than winning it 8 teams with Bayern Munich, even you could understand that.
And the best South American teams of Argentina and Brasil were very superior to the best European teams until the mid 90s.
Josiah Stewart
And Maradona was not an attacker, his role on the field was to open the opponent's defenses with his dribbles and did it masterfully. Since that time was more difficult to count the numbers, much of Maradona's important assists and passes are not counted in statistics. Stop reading when you compared Giroud to Maradona. Sorry
Ryder Fisher
Just try to understand for once people don't decide who the greatest are by the no. of trophies. No one counts trophies for fun. People remember skills and moves the greatest pull off on the pitch. That's why boomers know what's up.
Henry Clark
If you're South American to be considered the GOAT you need to win the World Cup. Copa America is not enough, you cant be the GOAT by playing in a tournament that apparently is played every single year not to mention the quality of the opponents
>Napoli has not won a league since Maradona left And? >Maradona singlehandedly lifted a mediocre team to great team status with his presence, neither Messi nor Cristiano have ever done that. Messi is a product of a system and is afraid to leave so im not going to talk about him. Cristiano is too busy playing for actually top teams in the world to be able to lift mediocre ones. What do you want him to do? To sign with Fiorentina? Sevilla? Leverkusen? Maybe Everton?
>And the best South American teams of Argentina and Brasil were very superior to the best European teams until the mid 90s. Yeah, that never happened
Evan Cooper
Jamie Vardy helped Leicester win the league title, is he on Maradona's level now?
Jace Russell
if he carries england to a world cup, yes
Connor Richardson
>Yeah, that never happened In the European South American Cup, in the 80s, South americans won most of the titles. 80 : Nacional won 81 : Flamengo won 82 : Peñarol won 83 : Grêmio 84 : Independiente 85 : Juventus 86 : River Plate 87 : Porto 88 : Nacional 89 : Milan Do you actually know what are you talking or are you just shitposting?
Elijah Hill
Maradona is a fraud, VAR technology would have prevented his cheat handball and he'd get an instant red card
Gabriel Bennett
The only thing I’ll say is those 4 silver medals on messi’s record won’t look good when he retires. Blundering in the CL in spectacular fashion two years in a row won’t look good either. He has to win something without the spanish golden generation carrying him or he’ll just be looked at as a statpadding fraud playing against shit defenders in about 20-30 years
James Clark
Mahrez, Schmeichel and Kante helped him. And this Zoomers don't really know about the history of football
Bro, when will you understand that no one in Europe gives a shit about the club world cup? Jesus Christ, no one gives a shit about all your circlejerk regarding >Corintian não tem Mundiau!!! >Palmeira não tem Mundiau!!!! >Vasco não tem Mundiau!!!
No one cares, that's not how you measure who is the best team because nowadays i'd have to say, judging by the same criteria, that Africa and Asia have better football than South America
Mason Reed
just look at the results of the intercontinental cup in the 80s in the 80s almost all the great players of Argentina and Brazil played in the local leagues, that only changed in the mid to late 90s. Before the mid 90s european teams could have only 2 players not born in those countries, iirc.
European football became better in the mid 90s, first with mafia and money laundering money going into Italian football (what allowed even teams like Parma to be great), the EU allowing every european to play in every team from every EU country, the 1995 bosman ruling, and it snowballed from that. by the early 2000s almost all the great players of South America were in Europe shortly after debuting, destroying the quality of the south american leagues. now with the global customer market and the money of russian oligarchs and middle east government, the difference is abysmal. But in the 80s South American football was still better.
Then what's your argument to prove that South American football was never better?
Jonathan Cox
you don't know anything about how football was in the 80s. you think it was just as nowadays.
Juan Davis
Isn't it cute when portugal tries to ride the european top leagues bandwagon to say shit like "kkkk nobody cares about the CWC south americans need to win twenty world cups to even be considered average by us europeans" when your shitty league is worse than the pernambuco state championship here
wake up and smell the coffee manuel, when people drool about top european football, they're not talking about you
Connor Williams
You sound as stupid as the unironic burger posting about dominating soccer if >we cared
Nathaniel Reed
>That flag >that post Go figure.
Jacob Perez
>Best team in the world? Yeah, it will be decided in this game between Porto and Penarol, played in Japan, under this beautiful atmosphere. Whoever wins it will be considered the GOAT team for sure, no one can compete with them
What a bunch of retards. Funny how the sudacas are the ones who always get trigger when Euros say no one cares about the CWC.
Here's another one: No one cares about Copa America either. Or olympic football wins
Some european clubs even refused to play in the cup because of the murderball played by sudacas
Jacob Hall
I'm not triggered, I just want you to prove your point. I posted my point and you just said it's not a valid point because you "didn't care".
Aaron White
Murderball was a thing in Europe too, though
Cooper Edwards
Yeah yeah joaquim we all know the only way to measure if someone is good or not is the euros/league of nations, LITERALLY the only competitions the world care about, like nobody else ever bother watching anything that isnt them
Now go back to being the irrelevant countrylet youve always been
And? You can be faggots if you want, that doesnt change the fact our best players were still playing in our local leagues instead of fuckface united
It was the game of their lives to sudacas and just one more to Euros, it has been like that since forever.
Maradona is the South American Platini. Good player but never in the GOAT conversation. Zico is the south american Laudrup.
Jason Rivera
>I cant argue against someone that thinks that a game played in Japan between Porto and Penarol decides the best team in the world.
Of course not, a game played in Marseille between only european teams decides the best team of the entire world, even when the best players of the world still played in their national leagues. Because yes.
This is also why nobody but euros actually were the best NT in the world at any time because the euros are better than the world cup. In your face south america!
Ayden Wright
>I can't argue Fixed
Gavin Bell
I never claimed that the champions of europe back then were the best team in the world tho. I claimed, and it is obviously true, that European football, as a whole, was much better.
Ethan Adams
the best leagues in the world were the Brazilian and Argentine one in the 80s
Joseph Russell
>tripfag Opinion IMMEDIATELY discarded!
Xavier Wood
>Maradona >good player but never in the GOAT conversation
with the same rules of Maradona's time, the Real Madrid or Cristiano and the Barcelona of Messi could have only 2 foreigners. Barcelona and RM would have to be 21 spaniards +Cristiano/Messi + some other foreigner
a team like Cristiano-Benzema-Bale Kroos-Casemiro-Modric marcelo-ramos-varane-carvajal navas
could never have existed. that team has 2 spaniards, while with the 80s rules of Maradona's time they could only have 2 foreigners. 80s football was completely different.
Logan Gomez
I don't know how any of the argies here haven't mentioned it.
This manlet was the ight at the end of the tunnel for Argentina. The 1st world cup he won by absolutely dick slapping England in the face was in the aftermath of the whole Falkland islands affair. The way in which he dribbled past all the defenders and scored and then used his hand to bag in a second as a final fuck you to England.
He had great first touch and dribbling for the time and, while his stats and longetivity weren't great, he's part of footballing history.
I absolutely despise that cokehead, commie, disgusting, Wanda Nara-fucking idiot. He wasn't even that good and is considered as is because he was memed to GOAT status, like Pele. But, let's not deny the guy was a delight to watch.
Luke Morgan
I must 100% agree with OP.
Also consider how this guy behaves. He's a total piece of shit. He beats chicks, uses a shitload of drugs (which wouldn't be a problem in general), is a racist, acts like an animal whenever I see any video footage of him. Why is this burned out, fat, disgusting loser considered as a god in Argentina? What the fuck is wrong with you...
Jason Lopez
Nedved deserved it in 2003, it would be a shame if it went to Henry who choked in CL and wasted a huge point lead over Man Utd in the league vs the player that actually delivered on the big stage
Ian Martinez
>replying to seething worldcuplets Come on lads, let portugal believe his mickey mouse trophy is worth something
His first touch is still the absolute GOAT. Rest is deabatable
Oliver Perez
Cheating is part of football folklore you stupid bong. You should blame the ref, not the player.
And I dont care about the falklands inb4 a witty retort
Jayden Hill
>00's/10's Barca/Real = easy mode >late 80s Serie A in general = hard mode >same but with Napoli = nightmare mode And judging non-strikers by goals scored is plain fucking stupid mate
Owen Cook
>I absolutely despise that cokehead, commie, disgusting, Wanda Nara-fucking idiot. But thats literally the best of him tho.
When Messi was choking in the field, Maradona antics became the main show of the match. He doesnt have to play anymore to give a better show, thats how cucked Messi is.
He enters drunks, when he gets bored of watching Messi choking he starts dancing with a nigress, then the only ray of sunlight focus on him to create a Renaissance picture that was worldwide covered, then he screams NEGROS PUTOS (nigger faggots) to the nigerian team just before he passes out from drugs and booze and the paramedics have move his fatass to the hospital. His last words on Earth could have been NEGROS PUTOS if it wasnt for the paramedics.
Maradona is not the best Argentinian player ever, that was settled long ago. Maradona is simply the best Argentinian ever.
>Some european clubs ..are a bunch of pussies Murderball still is a thing in Europe if you go down far enough, like the bottom half of the portugal league

> Cheated way to WC win in 1986 It's correct that his legacy would be way, way different without the 1986 WC.
> Won 2 (two) Seria A with Napoli. > 1 (one) CL / Euro Win, 1 Coppa Italia Club football was just way more balanced back then. You didn't have player with 10 league titles. He could only play in the European Cup when Napoli won the Serie A which had all the best teams.
>never scored more than 20 league goals a season in a relevant league Very low scoring era.
Argentinian was WC when he played there with many player from their domestic league, so I fail to see how the league is irrelevant.
