this was expected, if anything it's good news because we can still sign u-16s. Now the club will appeal to CAS and have the ban frozen in the summer while the appeal process takes place. We'll just sell Hazard and replace him with Sane+Jovic or something. Only issue is there'll be more pressure on RLC/Jorginho to provide more creativity and we'll have to get better full backs (Reece James + someone like Digne/Chilwell)

it's a ban on registering players so selling is fine and extending contracts is fine. For example, Pulisic is already registered as a Chelsea player, he's just on loan. Don't know how it works with piguain but it's better if he can't be registered desu

everyone always says this and I disagree. It's true we have 50 players out on loan, but only a couple would be good enough to plug holes in the squad/start for us. The only ones I can see actually being useful next season are Reece James, Pulisic and Zouma (as backup CB). Maybe Morata because he's the best striker registered at the club (lol) and maybe Bakayoko but he'd be too shit at possession football. Everyone else is only there to be sold.

So although the loan army in terms of players is largely useless, in terms of finance it's brilliant. If things really go tits up the club can cash in on all the loanees and get £300 million to spend on a rebuild. Factor in the shit that's not even making the bench like Drinkwater too.

I mean at this point so does Chelsea, their era of success began about 25 years ago now.

milan's problem was they misspent money right? I don't think that'll be so much of an issue with chelsea. Looks like they'll be hiring a DoF soon and even if they don't, their academy is probably the best in the world, the only issue is actually integrating them. But that looks like it's changing now with CHO, RLC, Christensen becoming starters this season and Reece James probably becoming a starter next season too. They'll have these players for over a decade as well.
