No, he was genuinely excellent. Got overworked and didn't recover too well though. Was for some reason placed behind Guendouzi, who actually fits the "overrated, people need to judge him better instead of going overboard when we're winning"-card a lot better and wasn't adaptable to Emery switching formations and getting paired up to Guendouzi or Xhaka or sometimes both of them. He was at his best when it was him and Ramsey or him and Xhaka in a 4-3-3 formation, but he simply also lost form.

Getting both Aubameyang and Lacazette in was the mistake. One of the two would be okay, but both of them just leads to an absolute mess of an attack that stats-wise looks like it works, but will always have its limitations that won't see it get anywhere near the top.
It's a meal that has high quality meat and low quality everything else and the idea to make it a high quality meal, is to add more meat. People will say "how do you blame the meat, it's good" when the meal is bad because it is overly reliant on the meat and the meat itself cannot be enjoyed as much as it should because it's not being complemented properly. You can't compliment meat with meat and you can't put Aubameyang and Lacazette in the same team and ever expect that team to accomplish something elite like a league or a CL.
