Explain

Sarri is a good coach actually and the English media's only criticism of him was that they literally admitted they were too stupid to understand

I'm seeing quotes by Cahill saying he feels hard done by because Sarri didn't tell him why he wasn't playing Gary fucking Cahill the absolute state of this man

If Sarri didn't have that shitty dip at the start of this year he wouldnt be too far off Liverpool and City so I don't see why he gets all this hate. I think the Premier League suffers from a dive/superstar problem and the only teams that have been able to buck it lately are Liverpool and City. That's where you see the real team spirit and where they top performers do their thing but also know their place.

>Foreign manager comes to eplel
>"Adapt to the prem!!!"
>Decent finish in league
>"See, can't play like that in the prem la"
>Great finish in 2nd season with right squad and players used to style
>"bbbut hardest league la this wasn't supposed to work la"

Sarri is a good coach.

>chelsea fans will delude themselves in to thinking this was a good season when it's just that arsenal and manure are worse
Conte would have got 3rd much more comfortably in this season

This.

The only reason Chelsea finished 3rd and not 6th with a substantial point gap is because Spurs, Arsenal, and United all had an absolutely appalling end to the season. Seriously, go look at the last 6 matches for each team. If they performed as badly all season as they did in the last 6 matches, all 3 of them would be at risk of relegation. Fucking shameful (and hilarious).

As for Sarri, despite finishing where Chelsea did, he's made some abysmal decisions this season, and 'Sarriball' is mythical bullshit.

The club made a mistake giving into his demand to sign Jorginho and then playing him in Kante's position is a totally low-IQ decision. Creating offensive play, Jorginho is average at best, and defensively it's like he's not even on the pitch sometimes. He needs to go, period.

Sarri has shown the innability to adapt to the huge diversity in how PL teams play (especially the newly promoted clubs that just want to remain in the PL). Some are offensive and some just park the bus. This requires recognising each teams weaknesses and changing tactics to exploit them, but all Sarri has done is the same fucking thing week after week with the same players in the same positions.

This whole concept of 'Sarriball' isn't compatible with the English game. Sarri's concept of how 'Sarriball' should be played is if it were some kind of blackmagic that can defeat anyone, but all it really is is a game of one-touch-pass-the-ball-quickly-then-try-to-score. This might work in leagues like Spain or Italy where they play poofterball, but it won't work in England.

I wont even elucidate about not playing RLC or CHO until the end of the season and only after pressure was applied.

>3rd place
>closer on points to 11th than to 1st
What a finish indeed

Sarri is like guardiola he doesn’t want to adapt, guardiola doesn’t have to adapt because they can spend 200m each transfer window and completely outclass teams but Chelsea don’t spend big and don’t have the quality to do what sarri wants to

RLC has injury problems and Hudson-Ngubu is fucking average mate.

>Some are offensive and some just park the bus.
Kek, diverse indeed

>This might work in leagues like Spain or Italy where they play poofterball, but it won't work in England.
Man city.

>takes over a team that has on and off won the PL in recent years, wins cups, and even the CL and EL in recent years
And you're surprised he's done well?

will Martin ever admit that his criticisms were premature?

>premature
He'll be sacked next season

True, but 3rd in a truly transition season is not bad. Conte is a good manager, but he doesnt play the possession based attacking football Abrahimovic craves.

Sarri has learned recently and is now willing to adalt tactically for big matches when he recognizes that Chelsea will have the disadvantage possession wise. If Chelsea wants to go to the next level, then they need to stick with Sarri for multiple seasons. If they go back to the manager merry go round then i dont think chelsea will ever achieve the football they want to play.

I dont think Spurs and Arsenal shitting the bed is purely a sign of their incompetence, but mostly its a testament to how strong midtable teams in the PL are currently.

I don't get why this lad gets bashed so much, he's top tier rn

>poofterball

No sorry but arsenal and spurs literally could have locked chelsea out of a UCL spot if they didn't bottle their games, we got lucky, don't mince meat it

Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and United have all been absolute bottlers these last few weeks.

Sure, but Chelsea still had to win the games to lock it in. Before that Chelsea even had the advantage at one point with the game in hand.

Sure Arse/Tottenham bottled it, but it isnt because its purely luck, its because PL teams outside the top 6 are stronger than ever. Leicester won the league, wolves routinely win against top 6 opposition etc. The increased PL money has improved them. Lpool and City are miles ahead of everyone but both are within the top 5 teams in the world.

At least they overcame the problem of always losing when the opponent scores first or even just dominates in the first half.

>wolves routinely win against top 6 opposition
While proceeds to lose to bottom teams, arsenal drew to a team that barely escaped relegation

Thank god the future is brown
