If someone punches you in the chest in a football match, you might not fall over, it might not even have hurt, but should a player be able to get away with deliberately punching you and suffer no consequences? Fuck no, so you fall over, the ref sees and maybe VAR review shows what happened to you, the player get's a yellow or maybe a red, now your team has the advantage. Either that player has to play far more conservatively or isn't there at all
