Been on a baseball movie tear lately now that i think about it. also recently seen the first Major League movie and Mr baseball which i really enjoyed. i've seen the Natural and a league of their own. is eight men out good?
why does it take maddon like 8 batters before he realizes that the pitcher needs to be lifted?

It's decent. Better than 'build it and they will come'. Never saw ML2.

Because this isn't Playstation and resources are finite.

Because do you really want to go to the pen when only 4 innings have been pitched? Even if Darvish has been all over, he has been getting squeezed all game on the lower part of the zone while Wacha's got a pass. That can't help him.
Hindsight user, you leave Darvish in because he's the starter and just look at the last inning as a freak accident. More importantly, it's to keep the bullpen from being run into the ground again since they finally recovered from the Diamondback game.
I was saying it when it was 5-1. I've seen this story several times. I get the general convention is that it's smarter to leave them in and try to get them to work it out, but honestly it's fine to keep it to 4 and hand it off to the rested bullpen. It's a tie game and Davis just hit that grand slam.
Play the less risky option.
