Even though they don't play in the same league and aren't from the same country, the two could meet in something like the CL or EL.
As far as I know it would be acceptable to own something like Man U and Melbourne because they don't share any competitions they can meet in. It's why City are allowed to own that meme New York club.
If the PSG owners did buy a club in the second or third tier, and they were promoted to the PL they would have to sell either the newly promoted club or PSG, they couldn't have both. Again, it's part of the reason Ashley had to sell his shares in Rangers once they were promoted back to the SPL, because there's a, slim, chance that Rangers and Newcastle could meet in a European competition. Or something like that anyway.
Still, I would like to see PSG buy someone like Shrewsbury and send Nerman there on a season long loan.
