What a bizarre question. Why would we be expected to be good at it? I've never seen a game of it played live or on television. It's never on television here. I've never played and I don't know anyone who's ever played it. I can't name a single one of our players or any of the competitions the team plays in. I'm vaguely aware of a Cricket World Cup based on seeing threads about it on the Yea Forums catalog, but that's about it. I might as well start a thread asking, "Why are America so bad at cricket?"
Despite it being about as popular in Ireland as croquet, a quick Google search tell me >we are apparently one of only 12 teams that play the sport at the highest level. Not that bad considering it's a sport no one plays.
