Sensible to agree that for the sake of the argument all and any comparisons must be made with contemporary conditions and opponents only. A cup is worth a cup no matter when it was scored because time is relative. For me, I want to reserve my judgment until Messi retires, however, he is in the mix and it's fair to consider him in this conversation.
