Would you say that soccer in general has improved over the last 10-20 years? Are we in the best time period of the sport?

Soccer is more technical and faster than ever

The best time period in football was in the 50's there's no question about it. The golden age ended in 65', after that it all went to shit

Soccer is more gay and blacker than ever

It's improved in every aspect except for one, fun. There's very little room for expression and magic in the top divisions of football anymore, it's all autistic stat fagging and "muh incredible system that requires everyone to play like a robot".

For me it was Real vs Corinthians in whatever year that was. That galacticos team was pure kino, it was like an assembled fantasy PES team

Yep. Football from the 80s looks like a bunch of slow drunkards in comparison to today. Defending back in the old days used to be "defender tries to stop attacker" instead of team tactics not letting attackers room to breathe
