You can't rest your best players in the premier league or you'll lose 100% even against a team like Crystal Palace or Brighton. Didn't Ajax make 9 changes in their league match before playing Tottenham? Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern etc all typically have the luxury to do that too when they have wrapped their league up by March. If a team like Liverpool or Man City had the luxury of resting their entire team we'd probably see English teams winning it more often.
