F2/GP2 sidepods are nowhere near something like that. I'd say those sidepods are taken from a V6 car and not V8 one, I checked every 2014 car and it doesn't resembles any. Also the car I think is from pre 2017 rules and there's no way there's an engine in that thing. The nose is weird af so I think is a dummy not from any car in particular. Overall it seems like the mule car used by Ferrari to test 2017 tyres

I have this image of the perfect F1 moment. It's not an overtake or a slow-motion shot of a millimeter-wide gap against the wall in Monaco, it's the image of a machine executing perfectly what it was meant to do. The example that sticks to my mind is from last year, near the end of the race in Austin, of Vettel chasing Bottas. The esses sequence is usually shot from very wide upfront or from the back. But, on that lap, the camera was sitting low at turn 4 such as, when getting out of turn 3, it was as if the car was going straight at you. At this point, it's visibly leaning deep on its right-hand side, bearing all the weight and inertia of the world on its tyres. Then it simply shifts, as if on springs, and suddenly the car is going to the right, out of the shot, working its left suspensions deep, focusing on its next move. TV doesn't do justice to the experience of watching a Formula 1 car live, it flattens it. It's not about the sound, it's about the feeling these machines are built without compromise, for a single-minded purpose. Much like a fighter jet, you can sense it does not operate within the usual physical rules, it's removed from your frame of reference, alien yet alive. I went to Spa, I saw these cars go through Pouhon and Blanchimont, I’ve been chasing that high ever since.

From launch it will be added the 2018 season There will probably be a "story mode" or sort of that will let you play in F2 and then get your contract for F1 and get promoted with Norris, Russell and Albon. The 2019 season will be implemented later on but I don't think it will feature any link to the carreer
