Can I get the kiwi perspective? Who do you think gives us a better chance of winning against Wales and England - Quade or Foley?
Angel Smith
not a racist, just think it’s a bit grim when a sport founded on international representation has teams like the wallabies where 1/3 of the players are and act like foreigners really the sport would be better off if those players represented the islands they came from, it would make them actually competitive as well and maybe you wouldn’t have the same 2-3 nations (these days just one) winning everything
Ian Jenkins
Quade Cooper is the better player despite Foley being the slightly better kicker.
Chase Rodriguez
R E D S E D S
Nathan Hughes
Foley by a landslide.
Lincoln Lee
isn't Cooper a bit washed up and maybe has ""attitude problems"" t. cazzie
Ryan Barnes
Foley is a shit kicker from hand and recently his conversion stats are worse than Cooper's.
It's not 2009 anymore.
Jack Campbell
yeah admittedly I'm a bit out of date on this stuff but how could he be any less washed up 10 years later? or has the "attitude" perception calmed down since then
Nathaniel Hughes
/wednesdaybeers/ lads? Liberty Brewing Co. here.
Asher Robinson
Maybe watch the fucking game before you open your bitch mouth.
What the tards do can barely be considered rugby at this stage so I don't blame them. Everyone has gotten over the Force axing and barracks for the Rebels or the Brumbies now.
William Long
Aren't 90% of the people that support Union in Sydney
Dominic Brown
Queensland actually, though NSW is second. More sydneysiders go to club games than Super Rugby now. We had 10k at Parramatta last week, but 20k at North Sydney last year.
Benjamin Harris
Paddy didn't earn enough potatoes to trade for a plane ticket back to the motherland.
Just a reminder that there is in fact no rugby on tonight, or tomorrow for that matter.
Cooper Nguyen
Got a date on Friday and a boys night on Sat lads #livinglife #sohectic But just realised I'll miss a fucking bunch of good rugby.
Joshua Lewis
why is that? I thought the tards had a successful history also are you talking about the shute shield?
Wyatt Sullivan
Goodluck m8 hope you get your dick wet.
Kevin Price
please pander to me and make me watch your spoort
Carter Hall
Tards are crap, bottom of the table 2016/17 and probably there again this year. Made the finals last year by virtue of automatic qualification but were never serious challengers. And yes.
Landon Bennett
fuck off Josh.
Ian Martinez
so do most people just follow the most successful clubs in their country? maybe not kiwis as they have a few more to choose from?
just wondered because of the shute shield thing looks like a comfy kino comp
Jordan Gutierrez
>v instead of x
Ethan Walker
quade for sure
foley is a better player but his mind is broken he's never going to win anything that matters you can see the fear in his eyes
a quade redemption arc is more likely than foley overcoming his demons
Grayson Adams
I don't even know what the fuck is going on with the Saffa teams. I'm a Cheetah supporter so after they left I lost all interest..
Who looks strongest this year? Crusaders?
Who looks good from the Saffa teams?
Elijah Jenkins
Well you just watch what you want. I watch everything I can because I'm obsessed but it's up to you how you balance your priorities.
Only one game televised per week and in SD. Going to the games is super comfy though, they're all over the place in Sydney (don't have to cross the bridge) and the atmosphere is superb. Even the missus has a great time.
Blake Collins
Saffa teams are all relatively boring this year, everything comes from grinding out dominance with big forward packs like usual, their backlines are all pretty much useless and can't capitalize on it.
A sharks backline, stacked with springboks, couldn't do anything playing 15 on 13 last weekend.
The teams are all wildcards and could win or lose badly on any day. The lions got thrashed and kept scoreless by another saffa team i can't even remember who. The sharks are at the top and the lions at the bottom, but there's nothing between them, they all have 5 wins.
Last year the springboks coming back against England and just in general made me think SA rugby was doing good, but it's really not. And yes, the Crusaders will win again.
Christopher Hughes
yeah I wouldn't watch it on TV, just go to the games can you bring your own booze?
Dylan Jackson
Cheers for the reply mate.
Fuck, Sharks, that is dross. So they still can't play from the backline after all these years?
Honestly thought they'd have improved by now at least. As you said, just going with the forward packs all the time, was even like that when I played during school years.
But I didn't expect anything from the teams lol. or rather, i expected it to be the exact same shit.
Thanks dude
Alexander Jones
Lol SA rugby is still fucked. Always been . Wish we had the same style of play as you guys. :D
Chase Butler
t. Mickey Arthur
Jonathan Williams
Reckon I'll be cheering for Treviso on the weekend lads. Something about Munster rubs me the wrong way at the minute.
Leo Jenkins
Wouldn't be hard to sneak it in, it's just a suburban ground. I can't say for certain, I'm a deso cuck.
Joshua Roberts
do they even ticket it or is it like a couple odd hundred people turning up for your average home and away game
Ian Jackson
Tickets are cheap, like $10 and the money goes straight to the clubs and isn't interfered with by RA. Finals are different, $20 I think and RA takes a cut.
Juan Johnson
Know what you mean, trying to defend your way to wins is fucking sacrilege in Rugby, When you look at Treviso they give away a load of tries but attack with no fucks given
Ethan Foster
The kicker is that Munster have, at times this season, been fairly exciting in attack The away game to Gloucester stands out. So it's not like they don't know how to attack and attack well.
>Munster vs Treviso As much as I'd like to see the Italians win, I figure Munster are going to shut down their gameplan and grind out a win. Will be a basically full-strength Munster team too, so a lot less chance of inexperience scuppering them.
>Ulster vs Connacht More interesting match up. Ulster lost to Connacht a few months back in Ravenhill, but they've improved significantly towards the end of the season. I think it'll be a close game and Ulster will take it in the dying minutes. Ulster have the better pack and back-3.
I was going so great on the first 6weeks, but then I forgot about it for like three weeks and decided to just abandon it. Next year is mine
Jonathan Myers
Messi is elite. Liverpoo are just that: poo.

Reckon Mounga would completely dominate Messi if he played soccer lads
Jordan Young
MAN I'm sick of that horseshit. What a fucking massive cringe on both sides: the enigmatic Messi-hating loser and all the fucking nerds obsessed with him.
Makes sense. You see a lot of the players that come up from SR take time to learn the defensive set up. Lowe was a half-season on before he had that down. Still remember his first game, against Treviso being an absolute shitshow.
Adam Hughes
what do you lads think of lowe anyway? is he still a dickhead?
Hudson Cooper
Bit of a temper, but it hasn't gotten him in much trouble. He got a red around Christmas but that was for a really bad read on a high ball. He's an overall positive influence on the team when he's on the field and gets them pumped up. I think him and Larmour have to be Leinster's first choice wingers.
Benjamin Carter
>Still remember his first game, against Treviso being an absolute shitshow
What the fuck are you talking about, He was man of the match and got 2 try's
Ayden Morgan
Aye his attacking play was always good but defensively he was very weak. Treviso got a lot of breaks past him. That was the part of his game he had to work on most leading up to the playoffs.
Gavin Lopez
Connacht is the reason
Angel Cooper
A bit of a mad bastard, goes around the field like he's a child thats just drank 10 fizzy drinks
Great in attack and constantly motivating the rest of the lads, send up more dickheads please
Luke Wright
Banned until the end of August. Not a huge impact, all in all, but still.
Ayden Sanders
>Not a huge impact
Theres World Cup warm up games that month, if he's banned from them thats going to effect Schmidt wanting to take him to Japan
Nicholas Powell
McFadden hasn't been on Schmidt's radar since the 2018 Wales game. It'd be mad to select him over any of the 4 provinces in-form wingers anyway.
Jeremiah Adams
Apart form Earls and Larmour we dont have that many to select from out on the right
Dylan Scott
Not surprising. Look at the quality of teams in the Pro14. You've got 4 strong Irish teams, 2 Scottish teams that made the European quarters, Scarlets are normally strong but were fucked by injuries this year, Cardiff won the Challenge Cup last year, Ospreys are hit and miss but generally strong at home, and Benetton are actually competitive now. That still leaves the other 4 shitters, but it's a decent standard.
Super Rugby, meanwhile, is >NZ teams win lol Australian rugby is in the toilet and South Africans are on mass exodus out of their country. Only going to get worse.
Cameron Jackson
McFadden is shit and a thug. This is the first thing of note he's done in the game since deliberately stamping on Nathan White's face repeatedly.
He'd have fuck all caps if he didn't play for Leinster.
Adam Martinez
Can Conway not play right?
Adrian Morris
Isn't Conway a right wing? I really rate him. Hope he goes to Japan. Surprised pic-related never got a look in. He was called up a few years ago, when he wasn't even starting for Connacht, but he's been their best back three player this year. Good under the high ball and has one of the biggest clearance kicks I've ever seen. Not saying he should go to Japan, but in terms of injury cover, he's the archetypal Schmidt winger.
It's too late for him now. With Schmidt, you need to be around the squad for a while to learn all the systems. Drawback of having such a proscribed game plan is that there isn't really room for a World Cup bolter. You'll never see what happened with Milner-Skudder happen with an Irish player.
I like Conway too but he's another Schmidt doesn't rate, anywhere
Henry Nelson
Ah, he does. It's just that Conway keeps getting injured at the worst possible times. If everyone was fit I think he'd just about miss out on the squad behind Larmour. Addison's injury throws things up in the air a bit though.
Kayden Brown
Lads explain to me how a "6" week ban puts you out till late August?
There's only 4 "game weeks" left this season. He serves the the 5th and 6th weeks at the start of next season.
Imagine a player was cited for something in the last game of the season that got them a two-month ban. They wouldn't miss a single game.
Jaxson Nelson
Right, so game weeks then, all i saw in the headlines was weeks
Lucas Evans
Ya. It's weird though. He'll serve the first week this weekend, even though Leinster don't have a game.
Kevin King
This came up last year after Ross Moriarty got a 2 gameweek ban against Argentina. Which meant all he ended up missing was the pre-season which, under player safety laws, he wouldn't have been permitted to play in anyway.

You could go into first place this week I think if you won by a lot and the Rebels get heemed. In reality though, it will take a lot of effort but it's doable. Rebels and Tahs have a bad run now, but my money has been on the Brumbies since the pre-season and I'm sticking with them.
Owen Scott
Absolutely stunning Colombian has just started working at the pub lads, might have to walk the dog up tomorrow for afternoon beersies.
Hudson Lewis
We’re 6 points behind, you only get 5 max right? I get weak in the knees for a prime South American
Logan Hall
Oh my bad I thought it was 5.
Justin Bennett
nah but if we win tonight and the reblels lose then the game in melbourne is important however, even if we both win, the waratahs losing in SA will have us in 2nd and they have two tough games in SA in a row, so it’s not vital that we win tonight and next week

The Tards will lose but the Brumbies may win and keep you at 3rd.

You have to release the ball when you're on the ground.
This has been interpreted by referees as having to place the ball essentially immediately, but in reality it's a much more organic decision based on momentum (you dont have to place it until you've lost momentum and have been released by the tackler).
Jayden Hernandez

Ryan Lopez
I can agree with this point
Cameron Turner
what kind of backline can't just draw and pass with a 2 man overlap off a dominant scrum, and make a break?
Wyatt Ross
I wouldn't call them cowards, just dumb. They were 8 for 8 in the forwards and 7v5 in the backs but the ball never went past numbers 9-10.
BASED Leoni don't do graphics for their teams. So I put this together. Same team that drew with Leinster in the RDS. A couple changes from the one that lost to Munster in Treviso, likely for the better.

Okay. SO:
We met this guy at the pub last week when we walked our dogs up there for afternoon beers. He was a bit odd, and he knew a lot of the houses on our street that were either unoccupied or abandoned. My bullshit detector was going crazy, so didn't offer this cunt much information, and dead-batted most of his questions.
Turns out he's been going house to house robbing them all, and according to the security cam footage that I've seen, has been camping in the back yard of a $20m+ property. What's brilliant about the footage is the Uber driver passing him his tent over the fence that he's just jumped.
It gets better, the house (estate, really) has live in security (they weren't there for some reason) and found his "nest" on the back of the property, found his passport; and basically all his worldly possessions. The main security guy is ex-SAS, and I've had dealings with him back around 2008-09, so we're friendly, but Jesus Christ I've never had as much respect for anyone 5'4" as I have this guy.
Cops haven't been called "we're dealing with this quietly" but the lads have been entertaining themselves by making beanbag shotgun shells out of their ammo for when this guy comes back. They're going to rough him up so badly haha, I almost feel sorry for him but he bent one of my gates, so he's getting what he deserves.
Jeremiah Rodriguez
hang out with the guards and film the bean bagging m8
My younger bro is a cop and an AOS member so it's probably wise for me to remain one step removed from this operation.
Cooper Carter
plus if you were going to do something like 'rough someone up so badly haha' it wouldn't be smart to leave a line on your net history saying you intend to do it
Connor Bennett
incase it going wrong and he like dies haha or something
Ryan Sanders
Don't get too excited m8, but a police sergeant plays the /rug/ bru.
Roux must still be sick. I think McKeon is the right choice at 6 actually, just didn't expect he'd be picked to start. He was really good against Munster and is one of the few lads in the pack with any real fight in him. Don't get dropping Leader though. I think he's had a really good season. Fitzgerald has been good since he came in and that tackle on Conway last week was hilarious, but if any of the back three should be dropped it's probably Healy. Making a lot of handling errors lately and loses the ball in contact far too often.
As for the bench, surprised to see McCabe, but relieved to see Carey. Much better scrummager than Robertson-McCoy. Baffled by the Masterson/Boyle bench decision. I know Masterson was a lock at underage, but I would have put Cannon there.
Ulster sticking to their roots >NO moore >NO addison >NO gilroy >NO ludik >NO stockdale With Moore out there's a serious chance Connacht are going to /heem/ them in the scrum like they did in both other games this season. Buckley was rested and they still destroyed what was mostly Munster's first choice pack last week. Only loss for Connacht really is Roux who gives them a lot of power in the scrum. As for the backs, they're missing 4 (four) first choice starters.
Ulster would've been definite favourites for this, but it's actually hard to call now.
Huge opportunity for Connacht. Ulster are an improved side from when they last met but, without Stockdale, both sets of back 3 are fairly evenly matched. I'd go as far as to say that I'd rather have Connacht's bench, too. Connacht by 3.
Hard to see beyond a Munster win. They're basically at full strength as it is. Treviso struggled against their 2nd string team at home and don't have the kind of reserves that Munster can call on. Unless Treviso can seriously upset Munster's game plan, this will be a slaughter. Munster by 15.
Wyatt Morgan
Going player by player through the teams, to see which team has the better individual by position
Jesus, how are Ulster such strong favorites for this?
Grayson Foster
That's a bit harsh on Timony, Cooney and Baloucoune. I feel like they'll front up farely well.
Kevin Russell
They're playing at home, maybe?
Lincoln Scott
They're all good players.Baloucoune is still pretty young. It's a tight call between Baloucoune and Fitzgerald, but I went with him because Baloucoune got himself suspended before and hasn't got great defensive discipline, while Fitzgerald made a complete tit of Conway last week. Timoney/McKeon was another tight one. I haven't really seen that much of Timoney, so it was more recency bias, given McKeon did such a good job winding up O'Mahony last week that he completely lost his cool as the game went on. As for Cooney, I 100% stand over this choice. The main reason Cooney is even in Ulster is that he couldn't get ahead of Marmion for Connacht and Marmion is still comfortably ahead in Irish selection. The only area Cooney is stronger is kicking, be it box kicking or place kicking, but Connacht don't box kick much anyway and Marmion isn't their place kicker.
William Ortiz
Cooney has been a different beast up at Ulster though. He’s had time to play and improve. Comparing him to the guy that wasn’t getting game time 2 years ago seems unreasonable.
Owen Bailey
Downloaded the Crusaders/Sharks game to watch and was confronted with having to listen to a woman commentator.
Stopped playing it and instantly deleted the file
>Best ways on how to stop people watching your sport
How much of him did you watch at Connacht? Be honest. He was really good there, but couldn't consistently get ahead of Marmion. He was getting plenty of gametime, started plenty of games and when he was on the bench came on around the 50-55 minute mark. I always knew Ulster would be fine with him replacing Pienaar. What he's done is play the exact same way he did at Connacht in a team that actually gets a bit of media attention.
And Marmion is still better. He's quicker, his passing is better and he runs better lines. I was sorry to lose Cooney. Good player. But I've watched both live and on TV plenty of times and I wouldn't trade them.
Andrew Garcia
Earls out. Sweetnam starting at 11 in his place.

You take that back, she was nowhere near that bad. Marto/Kearns tier at worst.
Colton Rogers
Dont worry lad, in an hour itll all be better

Christian Richardson
Pray and you shall receive user
Cameron Martin
Rebels were absolutely exposed two weeks ago and every other team saw it
Landon Davis
The rest of the Rebels making Quade Cooper look like a tackling god.
Jaxon Reed
Thought the Rebels would at least make a go of it
Luke Mitchell

Hudson Torres
So this is the power of the power of the Australian Conference Leaders...
Ethan Bailey
The Rebels have absolutely no one good in their tight 5, how are they smashing the Canes scrum?
Chase Parker
It's the canes scrum, possibly the worst in the comp.
Oliver Cook
a shitty 4th or 5th string lock is the best player in the tight 5
Brandon Gray
AUMUA
Robert Morgan
Tiatia's been pretty anonymous on the wing.
Leo Ramirez

Blake Perez
dont support the crusaders, talk shit about quade cooper, ashley-cooper, and beale, make jokes about coconut handling skills, banter about The Gays, and support the Sunwolves
also just watch it with a mate who knows the rules a couple times
Alexander Foster
Spencer has been in Beaudens ear. These in goal cutout passes need to go. It's World Cup year and Rockokoko and Howlett aren't there to help out.
Brayden Torres
Card soon, surely.
Owen Harris
Well in that case I'd be happy to educate you.
Ball has to be thrown backwards. Have to chase from behind the kicker. Scrum if there's a knock-on, lineout if it goes out. Rucks and mauls are complicated, basically a pushing contest over the ball like a scrum but messier. Everything else comes from watching a lot and asking questions.
Regarding Super Rugby, Australian teams are inconsistent and Kiwi teams are entertaining. Crusaders win every game so they're the bad guys. Polynesian players hate gays.
Isaac Campbell
based thanks lad
David Young
(it's okay to support the crusaders for the Deus Vult memes though)
Are you watching tonight? There are streams you can watch if you dont have kayo. Next coupla games should be good.
Andrew Williams
I was going to go for the Rebels since I'm from Melb I might, I'm watching the Rebels game on Kayo right now.
Hudson Cox
Wessels was an idiot not to start Meakes, he has been a warrior this year.
John Gutierrez
Comeback ON
Jack Perry
If you want the Rebel's cum back you'll have to scrape it off your mum's teeth.
Adrian Taylor
why is the caketin such a shit stadium for rugby
Evan Collins
Fucking love that ball and all tackle from Beauden there.
Anthony Miller
terrible
Levi Ortiz
Canes have been dire since the first 25 mins.
Rebels are a newish team who are still building a culture. They have a flashy backline but their forwards are mostly mediocre, and in rugby backs are reliant on forwards to get them front foot ball. Rebels have a bad rep because the Perth team with more culture and which was actually alright (not to mention being in a rugby city) was cut so that they could survive.
Brandon Bennett
Seats are too far from the field and Wellingtonions are casuals.
Jeremiah Russell
When is Berry going to call Genia offside at the scrums finally?
Cooper Hernandez
You'll have to pump your mum's stomach, like the Rebel's did.
Tyler Moore
I forgot the game was on cause Nisbo didnt have to say anything for a good minute
You're right trying to make a combi use stadium was a poor decision
Colton Gomez
Hurrs might actually choke this one away
Jeremiah Lewis
oh i see, thanks for the info
Bentley Fisher
>T. Finlay Christie
Matthew Young
The Cake Tin is the rugby equivalent of Eden Park for cricket. The Cake Tin is a good stadium though. Easily accessible and it flows well. Every single NZ Stadium fails in the big screen department.
Camden Mitchell
my one hope for the Chch Egg if it ever gets the go ahead a slightly larger Lunchbox closer to bars is all I want
Carson Campbell
Wonder if NZ Rugby will look at offering Parker big bucks at the end of next season
Kayden Long
bit sick of teams wasting the last 10 minutes with scrum resets so their lead isn't challenged desu
Luis Bell
Nah Joseph Parker's career is dead. He doesn't have the heart of a champion and his promoter's and training team are amateurs. There is no future boxing in NZ.
As for Hayden Parker the answer is also no. Once you leave you're gone. Unless of course you are a top tier player like Kaino, Carter, McAlister.
Gabriel Jones
Why does the Rebels #18 look like a fucking baked potato
There's still the likes of Perofeta, Cameron, and Ioane coming through to not need to chuck money at a 30 year old uncapped journeyman after the world cup.
James Jackson
Based Pooper saving my elite pick
William Gray
Who do you think could get them through Mad Mick's to Boneyards?
Robert James
>Perofeta
Blake Hughes
Fuck I miss Carter and Mehrtens Why is it that High Functioning Alcoholics make good kickers?
Josiah Ramirez
Beat the B&I Lions in his first game. There's just no reason to bring back an old man after the WC when they'll be looking to BB/Mounga to be the starting 10 in 2023 and focus on younger talent for after that.
I miss watching Hosea 2bh. Stunning player with some seriously brutal defence.
Lincoln Roberts
I think Rico is playing in the Heartland Championship. I think he's been playing for the Bush or Horo for a few years. Might have given up now but he was playing there not to long ago
Owen Brooks
TA'AVAU
Noah Ross
Waratards fan?
Anthony Barnes
I remember those, Hosea pulled a handful of brutal spot tackles in SR and they were timed to perfection
He knocked that Irish winger out in 2012 in Hamilton. We won that game 60 - 0. That was the rise of Savea though. Scored a hatrick on debut against the potatoes at the Garden.
Josiah Sanders
ARDRON
Oliver Torres
That really was a bit of "what could've been". Hosea was great on the test level, but selection pressure is always tough for the ABs winger spot, and Julian Savea at his prime was phenomenal
