100 Million for this guy

At his age, Is he worth the money? Did Juventus make a mistake by splashing that kind of money for TSU?

Dudes probably already paid for himself on shirt sales alone. Besides, when the team is down in the dumps he acts as the spiritual leader and takes it upon himself to win the game. Truly a gem of a player. 100mil is a bargain.

Juve have to sell 1.9M shirt to match his transfer fee

ronaldo is quite literally the biggest fraud of modern football, but is right

how do you have internet

Of course he is, even more.
He's the greatest footballer of all times and even 300 millions would be worthy.
Having the GOAT in your team is priceless.

Virtually unlimited 4g connection for like $5/mo. What you think we're a bunch of Indians frolicking in the jungle or something? Doesn't really surprise me from an American. Can you even tell where your country is on a map?

Juve did worse than last year

>shirt sale meme

This was started by the customers to defend wasting gorillion on the dabbing jonjo shelvey, but it's a load of shit for the most part.

The shirt sales meme doesn't account for the fact that the majority of those shirt sales were already happening (or going to happen), and all the signing of a marquee player does is mean they got 'Ronaldo' on the back of their shirt instead of 'Dybala'.

Kit deals are not sponsorship deals also - they're licensing deals, and it's the kit manufacturer who has the rights to sell it. Juventus get paid an annual fee to allow Adidas to use it (2015-2019 it was £20m) and then about 10% of profits from shirt sales

This is also Italy, where sale of counterfeit shirts is rife and they sell them outside the stadiums

Shirt sales will bring an increase in the country that the player is from, but otherwise the change is minimal as those customers were already customers prior to the signing

>joins manchester united who had already won the league and champions league with ferguson
>doesnt win the league for a few years despite his efforts, finally wins things when scholes, rooney, tevez bail him out (and van der sar)

>joins real madrid who had already won the champions league and league before him
>doesn't win anything until Bale comes, and Marcelo and Ramos bale him out
>wins 2 leagues in a decade, even Higuain has more

>joins Juventus who had already won the league and been to 2 cl finals
>wins less than Juventus had won the last half decade
>displaces higuain, puts dybala on the bench, destroys madzukic, takes 100 million from the funds

wow what a player

This is exactly, exactly, what people were saying when Beckham went to LA Galaxy

yeah whatever maduro the average monthly income in your shithole is $5

Yes and no.
Yes because in sporting terms he is not worth the money.
Yes because his marketability is worth that kind of money + they'll still win the league.
Also Juve spend 90 million on Higuain a few years ago and although he scored more goals than Ronaldo, he is still the better value for the money.

>Ronaldo is a better value than Higuain

They bought Higuain from a direct competitor to the league, they took away 30 goals from Napoli and ensured victory for themselves during a time when Serie A was becoming stronger. Juventus single handedly killed the league, and when they had nothing else they went to buy Ronaldo. They made their team worse, they made Real Madrid worse, all other Serie A teams stopped caring, Serie A is in its worse state of the decade right now. What a fantastic purchase.

*loses*
*blames his teammates*
*crys like a little bitch*
Ah yes strongmind indeed.

Do you know how many bandwagoners players like Ronaldo have? These people will buy a Juventus kit instead of a Real Madrid kit. That's actually a boost in sales for Juventus.

Juventus could sell 1 million extra shirts because of Ronaldo and that would still not cover 2/3rds of what they paid Real alone to get him

I think you underestimate how many stupid kids around the world want a Ronaldo kit for their birthday.

I think you underestimate operational costs, marketing, licensing fees, manufacturing. I doubt they even made 10 million off his sales. It's a shirt and a 1 time buy, and most do not want to drop 80 Euro on a real one sold by official Juve retailers. They get one from a tourist stand on the side of the street or made by a grandma in her own little apartment shop.

Is that supposed to be too much? You know the massive amount of following this guy has right?

>I think you underestimate operational costs, marketing, licensing fees, manufacturing
You know those shirts cost like 5 bucks to make and sell for 60+ right?
