Episode is good if you are really emiotionaly attached to the main characters and you are interested who lives or dies, so you will be on the edge of the seats trying to see trough all the smoke and darkness if some main charachters is dying.

Spoiler alert,one semi major character dies, and one side character.

GRRM didn't write the series, not even the parts of the series that are following the books, and series stopped following the books years ago. Parts that follow the books written by anti war feminist, are actually good, last few seasons are cancerous, and strong female characters just became cancerous mary sues.

That was a common practice until few seasons ago.

Yet the show is both hugely commercially successful, and criticially successful.

Goerge could have told me how it ends, and I could have brought them to the same conclusion, that doesn't mean that the story that bring us to the conclusion is good, or anything like he would have made it.

That's because they have to deal with the ridiculous bloat that GRRM wrote into his series, which he's also struggling to deal with himself. To condense what he set up into a realisticly budgeted and timed TV show is ridiculously hard

Nah it was fantastic at the start. The moment it truly jumped the shark for me was when Arya got stabbed like 10 times in the gut and managed to not only survive but kill her assassin, who had years of training over her. I knew then there was no other ending except for YASS SLAY QUEEN.

Battle at the wall was good, and that was the last battle that followed the books, litteraly the next battle, where stannis attacked winterfell, was pure retardation.

I dunno, I watched it from literally the first weekend it came out and had no expectations or any clue what the show was about, a friend told me about it after seeing the trailer like 2 days before it aired. Obviously now it's probably hard to truly get into it because everyone acts as if it is the greatest show ever made and everyone references it so much you already know what will happen.
