Why do people make a big fuss about him? Literally never won anything relevant, teams collapse after a season, some times even before that, never achieve anything particularily amazing...
>take over shit team >kick out like 15 players >make them overachieve for some months >destroy the team >get sacked >claim the board was shit and didn't support him >repeat
He is probably the best manager in the world at getting huge results and effort out of mediocre players. I say this because that squad would have been lucky to finish mid table under any previous manager the club has had. There's some dross in there. Bamford is poor, and this could be one of the seasons of his career. Roofe is arguably the best player and he's nowhere near Premier League quality. To have them third at the end of the season is beyond any realistic expectation.
I've been going to Elland Road since 1987 and this is not one of the better teams we have had. There is no standout player. Peacock Farrell should have been relied on for the duration of the season, with the Casillas money going anywhere else.
If we are to go up then we will come back down in ugly fashion unless we spend massively.

Leeds went from getting 2 points per game before this press conference to 1.6 points per game since then Derby went from 1.6 points per game before this conference to 1.6 points per game after it Make of that what you will
And that's exactly what he is. A manager for low tier clubs, nothing else. His tactics only apply to shitty players who need to run non-stop for 90 minutes, there's no place for a guy with playmaking skills, it's all, running and 3/4 passes until one guy goes to a corner and crosses a ball to a running foward. His philosophical memeing methods are useless in big teams who need to win shit or be competitive.
