A live service needs to have updates and add new content regularly, othersise people lose interest because at the moment Apex doesn't have much content only great gameplay.
Look at Fortnite, which is currently Avengers: Endgame themed.
Apex had 2 balance patches so far and that's it. They nedd new guns, skins, characters, maps more regularly otherwise they'll lose their userbase
