The call was right. That's what you get for being a bunch of goons. Faggot ass Reddit Knights.

Even if it wasn't right it is entirely the knights own fault for giving up four goals like that.

Do Bay Area teams get pity refball because nobody wants to deal with their libtard fans when they lose? It's the same way with the Memeiors.

fuck off gary the nu nhl sucks dick

Don't give up four fucking goalsin one power play next time you pussy. Refs were just trying to give sharks fans some hope so they could be crushed harder. They just didn't take into account how shit fleury is in the playoffs.

You have to go back

>not Joe Pavelski's corpse

Bruh all you have to do is not allow 4 goals in 4 minutes

As a bay area resident it's because everyone here are huge bandwagoners and will not support a losing team. It's a very rich market, so the leagues do their best to make them happy. And in the sharks case, if they lost, EK9 would undoubtedly leave and the franchise is pretty screwed in terms of the future right now.

Is it still being a goon when you're doing it to the Sharks? I don't think it is. Fuck the Sharks. I hope Thornton gets AIDS.

this is legitimate for once.

Give him the Conn Smythe

Hello newfags! How is your first nhl playoffs being on Yea Forums?

????

I guarantee nobody will be able to post a video of it and say it wasn't deserving of penalties in the same post. You're all just crying about refs for the sake of it.

play was only called dead after he was hurt, it's a 2 min minor tops, if even that. shit like that happens all the time on faceoffs, he just landed awkwardly.

not even a golden showers fan

>The call was right.
This is what zoomers actually believe.

maybe floorsqueak is more your speed. two minutes for interference at most if he doesn't hit his head.

It was a shit call, but Vegas can only blame itself for blowing a 3-1 series lead and allowing 4 fucking power play goals.

>be VGK

Is it possible to file battery charges? Look like a designed setup to inure pavelski

based

Attached: sips.png (1172x675, 32K)

you're really going to say that wasn't blatantly a penalty, if not 2?

Wow, that is nothing. It is not like he took out a defenseless player nowhere near the play causing him to have a head on collusion with the ice knocking him out cold. I mean if that did happen, I would still say it would have to draw blood to be a major.

2:02 you clearly see contact to the shoulder and finishes on his chest. he loses his balance and gets tied up with stastny who did nothing malicious. he hits his head. on no planet is that deserving of anything.

what's the penalty? interference? worthy of a major?

waaaaaaaaaaaaah why cant my team make the finals every year like i DESERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 2:02 you clearly see a crosscheck you massive fucking retard. If you watch the video he is literally charging him to crosscheck him off the faceoff. Also out of curiosity, Where is the puck in this frame?

Attached: 202.png (635x357, 379K)

yeah so interference? that pick play off of faceoff that happens 20 times a game is worthy of a major in a playoff game?

>gets tied up with stastny who did nothing malicious
he literally pushed at his shoulder/upper chest to make sure he went down to the ice hard. Amazing you can see it in slow motion and still pretend it was nothing

This your first time watching hockey? This literally happens 20+ times a game where players push each other off the faceoff. It's never called. Which is why no penalty was called on the play. Only 30 seconds later when the medical staff were in the ice

cdn-b-east.streamable.com/video/mp4/9luqo.mp4?token=1VA2iNgEFzb_IM-VmZRA0Q&expires=1556087087

LETS GO AVS BEAT THE REF PUCK GOOKS

stastny didn't get called for anything. eakin got the major.

If it happened 20 times in one game the teams would run out of healthy players by game 2 you massive fucking retard. I get that Americans in general, let alone the VGK bandwagon know literally nothing about hockey, but there is no need to embarass yourself further. A clear crosscheck far away from the play with the intent to injure is a major. When it draws blood it is almost always called as a major. Look at the momentum that was not a "pick" especially when pavelski was not even skating towards him. Or even fucking looking. He was completely defenceless and was violently crosschecked to the ground by a player intending to hurt him. That is a major and a game misconduct 10/10 times.

I have two takeaways
1. that was a 2 minute penalty
2. the knights gave up 4 fucking goals. inevitably your team will get shafted by a call (unless you're the penguins) and if you can't fight through that you have no chance winning a cup

I know. Like I said it should have been 2 penalties, a major + minor. Refs fucked up but not the way you think they did.

what's the major

This

Maybe the call was excessive, but that still doesn't make up for four goals scored on that major. The knights still have to play the fucking game. If they can't hold them to two goals on the major then it is their own fucking fault.

When is the last time a player had to be carried away after receiving a crosscheck from a player who clearly initiated knowing he didn't have the puck, that only got 2 minutes?

So much this

>everyone here are huge bandwagoners
Mostly for the Warriors and Giants. Sharks and A's are bros.
I think the Raiders will be appropriate for Vegas.

Being near an injured player.

Maybe Pavelski shouldn't be a useless Slav

Wait WTF i turned the game off when Vegas was up 3-0 no joke

I really don't get how people don't know the blood rule, even if you're only following one team it should come up at least once in a regular season

>letting four goals pass
>b..bad calls!
nah thats called fucking CHOKING

>violently crosschecked to the ground by a player intending to hurt him
nice bait

You really deserve to lose when you think blatant illegal moves causing injuries shouldn't be called because you can't win cleanly.

How about just not giving up four goals you faggot?

Know what else you see? No hand up. Ref didn't put a hand up until Sharks fan autism started littering the ice.

>nice bait
Yeah he meant to give him a friendly fist bump to congratulate him on winning the face off, then accidently knocked him the fuck out.

OK Man Jose.

the cross check didn't knock him out. caught him in the shoulder pads.

he cross checked him right in the front numbers in the chest, not in the head, from a standstill. the only reason a whistle went was because he unfortunately got tossed into stasny and got hurt. stop acting like this was some heinous headhunting incident

Stick to the face. At least leading him to head to the ice regardless of intent
Gallants a jackass

The ref that dropped the puck, the one that is in frame, did not see the hit because he was following the puck, which by the way, does not help your case when the play is so far from the hit that the ref didn't see it. But if you actually think refs give a fuck what fans think of their calls, then this was your first time watching hockey, so there is no point discussing this with you.

It was a typical crosscheck that you see go uncalled dozens of times in a game. It's only Pavelski's audition for Cirque du Soleil that injured him.

Still not technically against the ruling. It's up to the ref to decide if a crosscheck issued by a player has resulted in enough injury to warrant 5 minutes. And it did.

The leaf is 100% right here

>ref
>dropped the puck

That's a linesman you stupid paki

>the cross check didn't knock him out
correct, the collision his head made with the ground did. In other news, did you know jumping off a bridge skyscraper doesn't kill you? can't blame me for pushing you off one then, I cant be held responsible for the collision with the ground you face.

based neutral leaf

Attached: 5b9fc8b4f56fd9beb7d04666020c78fe.jpg (1249x1398, 136K)

Or like, the blood and the hit

stick never hit his face. and if your gonna cry about the collision with stastny he is allowed to protect himself if pavelski runs into him.

And knoights fans will try to play semantics and say that the injury was a result of him hitting his head on the ice, not the crosscheck. The crosschecks from Eakin and Stastny make it hard for him to stabilize himself on the way down, so the crosschecks were a big factor in Pavelski hitting his head. It's not just

>oh well, it's his fault that he can't break his fall properly

What the fuck is this mental gymnastics? This has to be b8

Yeah, the refs messed up by not calling Stastny too and making it 5 on 3 for the first two minutes of a five minute powerplay. Vegas got off easy.

as a result from stastny. eakin doesn't deserves a major because pavelski lost his balance.

>dive head first into the ice
>get 5 minute power play

It's probable some >laffs fan that needs (you)s to avoid committing suicide.

Soft call. Hockey players are a bunch of pussies. But the right call

if anything, vgk is lucky Stastny wasn't the one who got ejected.

>it was the ref’s fault we lost
>allows in 4 goals in the shortest amount of time
Ah, what a great night

>he cross checked him right in the front numbers in the chest
Which is still a penalty
> from a standstill.
This is a flatout lie. You could not even reach him from a standstill off the faceoff. He flatout charged towards him, that is why it was called a major, because it wasn't just a cheeky little chip in game 7. Because he violently charged him to the ground.Clearly with the intent to injure, did the collision with Statsny make it worse? probably. Does that change the fact that when you knock out a player, making him bleed, by initiating a charging crosscheck on a defenceless guy who does not have the puck is an obvious major 10/10 times? nope the second there was blood on the ice he was out of the games, any refs in the league, any two teams, any game, any player, any time.

and why did he lose his balance user?

do you just want no physical contact in hockey anymore? stastny isn't expecting pavelski to be there he has a right brace and protect himself.

Because he's a shitty skater. Do you think he was drafted in the 7th round by accident?

If the refs didn't call 5 on that, the sharks would have suicided themselves to (literally, not metaphorically) cripple the knights and the crowd could have rioted.

Gonna have to side with this burger on that one. It was a clear game misconduct on the crosscheck, but Statsny didn't do anything wrong. Pavelski was falling into him and he sort of reacted. It was a bit chippy, but in that situation I'll allow it. Though the "no physical contact" comment is pretty dumb thing to bring up on a play that far from the puck.

This is actually what I expected to happen after the review as well. The crosscheck might not have been called if not for the injury, but with review it’s clear there was intent outside of the puck play area on both the knights involved. Stasny didn’t need to make contact with pavelski, and he definitely didn’t need to drive through him while he was in the air.

Plus, he was slumped over in a very dramatic pose and the ref clearly thought he might have died. First impressions matter.

Right, but considering he is one of the best hockey players in the world, do you think maybe just maybe the fact that he was violently crosschecked by a player charging at him off the faceoff when he didn't even have the puck might have been a contributing factor?

No. He is only in the NHL because of his hand-eye co-ordination. The fact that Eakin won't even get a hearing for this "vicious" assault is the proof that there was no penalty on the play.

You can cry about a single incidence and ignore every other time it went your way or you can recognize that the knights dropped the game.

i.e. to complain about an example of ref issue(even if it's wrong) and not recognize when it went your way makes you an ignorant piece of shit whose opinion doesn't matter anyway

>Stasny didn’t need to make contact with pavelski
he was picked right into him and braced for contact.

Attached: 1.jpg (1174x616, 86K)

Stop posting. You're embarrassing yourself. There was no charging. He bled because his helmet broke and cut him. The refs told gallant it was for a cross check to the head. It wasn't. They were wrong. Like you. Watch some hockey before posting next time.

user, I have seen Pavelski win a lot of faceoffs. It is very rare for him to just randomly fall over and knock himself out from them. Again, I get this is your first time watching hockey, but do keep up.

Yea he didn’t, still stand by it. And even if he couldn’t move out of the way (optimal to get after the puck which is going in the opposite direction) he did not need to drive through the already falling pavelski

>He bled because his helmet broke and cut him
No, don't be an idiot. How could his helmet break and cut him. It was a clean *checks note* crosscheck. Yeah those are allowed right? I am sure he just collapsed because skating is really hard and knocked himself out. I have never watched hockey before, but I am sure majors are never called when someone injures a player on one of these crosschecks. Most dirty hits that draw blood result in 2 minutes at best right? He didn't charge either, he just reached over the faceoff circle with his guiness world book of records reach and pushed him over so fucking hard his fucking helmet broke and cut him. let's go with that.

When Eakin isn't suspended I expect your apology you dumb paki

>pav literally crosschecked into the path of another teammate
>somehow pav going in his direction on pav’s decision
Retard maybe you should play the game before you pull this kind of argument.
t.i played before the new offsides rules were implemented

he was pushed inside off the faceoff. That is why he couldn't get out the way, he was already skating forward and a wild pavelski appeared. It was a bit chippy, but if you watch it in full speed he did not have much time to react, he probably didn't know that his teammate just fucking gooned him to his path.

>I have never watched hockey before
God dammnit, he caught me with his b8

that's my point, if stasny didn't contact him pavelski would have fallen harmlessly to the ice and there probably wouldn't have even been a whistle, but pavelski got one-two combo'd on a flukey and unlucky play. at least call the major on stasny or something, I'm sorry but a misconduct for a basic bitch cross check off a faceoff just doesn't sit well with me

Fucking retard. Maybe go play the game.

you may have noticed some obvious tones of sarcasm you massive fucking moron.

what should stastny have done after getting pushed towards the dot? just let pavelski run into him?

>blantent crosscheck
>probably no call at all
>right in front of a ref
>right after puck drop
Want to know how I know you’re new to hockey?

Well I did notice you used * * like a fucking faggot so there's that

Well there was no penalty signaled by the refs until after the training staff was on the ice so you're kinda proving his point

He can’t do anything to really avoid the hit, but he shouldn’t have pushed him to the ice. Protecting yourself...there was this one funny
>be me
>playing night game
>onna bench waiting to get back on
>our guy goes up the ice
>other team goes in to check
>standing near straight like a retard
>our guy is a lot lower in proper stance
>guy going in to check gets rekt
>falls back
>hits his head
>in front of our bench
>no penalty because he was the one who fucked up a check
It was either a big penalty for the shit head you had at center ice or a 5v3 at best.

They'd have to make the call, it was pretty egregious, he clearly stepped into it. It is so obvious from the replay he planted a foot and drove forward. If he didn't make contact with Stasny he would have still hit the ice, but it might not have been bad enough to cause the injury. In that case the refs may have not taken a proper look at it and given it only 2 minutes, or let it go. But that would have been the wrong call. I don't think Statsny did something that egregious, but if they did call it on him that would have been even worse for the VGK. Regardless. I just do not see a scenario where a violent charging crosscheck off the faceoff violently causes a player to collapse on the ice, bleed and be knocked out, this far from play, and in a way where Pavelski can not even brace for it, without a major being called. Its not like it would have been a clean hit if statsny didnt follow through. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

This isn’t a pick up game where if the ref doesn’t see it it won’t count. Guy gets injured off of some retard shit. Yeah, expect to get a penalty.

why don't hockey plays have mouth guards?

They reviewed it though. They do that in hockey. That's how they decide on a major/game misconduct in situations like that.

they do. They just mostly wear clear ones to look cool.

It gets in the way of breathing
This is best post on this

They can "discuss" it but since they said that Eakin cross checked him in the face you know that none of them saw it and they were just making shit up

doesn't matter though. Since according to the rules, it would be a major regardless.

No they don't........

They, do. I don't think I have seen a major penalty called without the refs conferencing.

If Gallant's comments are correct, they made the wrong call given they said they called it because they felt contact to the head was made on the cross-check, but there was no contact to the head in the replay.

A conference is not a review buddy

Anyone complaining about the refs reaction should read anons reactions in the game thread, Plenty of anons sincerely posted "did pavelski die?" and "eakin is a dirty m**f**k*r". It shows that the ref wasnt that bad since its the rule that cross check + injury is a major, and that it is really hard to grasp stuff until you reprocess your judgment through a replay.
Also like said. If the refs doesnt call it, then the sharks would swing sticks. It would be bloody. If the refs dont call it, they will get even more trouble.

Shitposters on Yea Forums aren't paid refs, don't act like they should be held to the same standards

(Note) Cross-checking is the action of using the shaft of the stick between the two hands to forcefully check an opponent with no portion of the stick on the ice.

(a) A minor or a major penalty shall be assessed for cross-checking an opponent.

(b) A major plus a game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who injures an opponent as a result of cross-checking.

Are you mentally handicapped? I mean there's literally no room for interpretation here, let alone the hit being not near the puck.

You are clearly forgetting Game 6 OT where it took 3 penalties to actually get 1 penalty call.

Sweet sweet VegASS Golden Showers tears...It's obviously your first time watching hockey. If it wasn't you would know that NHL punished result and not intent.

There's an argument to be made in these situations that the refs should be allowed replay, since it absolutely was a cross check, but the injury was unrelated.
That said, the Knights lost because their PK is shit, not because of the penalty directly. I've seen a PK unit kill off a 5v3 into a 5-minute major, there's no excuse for a team to let in 4 goals on the PK ever.

This, anyone who thinks that was a crosscheck worthy of 2 minutes let alone a 5 minute has never played competitively

>the Knights lost because their PK is shit, not because of the penalty directl
>Didn't lose because of the penalty directly
>Even though they got scored on because of the penalty directly

Bitch, the fuck you mean the refs were on the Sharks side? So many bad calls against the sharks in the first few games including that "goaltender interference"

All these fucking zoomers calling an innocous "crosscheck" that happens a hundred times a game a crime worthy of a major penalty is disgusting. It's obvious they penalized the result of the play, not the play itself.

Anyway, congratulations on ruining hockey. I look forward to watching you fuck up everything else I enjoyed.

lel

Except I wouldn't. I've been watching since I was a kid and have seen even more egregious penalty calling than that.
If you had watched hockey outside of the past two seasons, you'd probably realize that the Knights PK was non-existent and it was not the call itself. There is NO REASON the Knights should not have been able to kill that penalty, the Sharks were dead in the water, and yet Fleury decided to take a shit on the ice.

you must be new here.
blood on the ice = major penalty, that's how it's always been
