I lived there for a few years when at Uni and Liverpool is literally one of the better places to live in the UK. It has some rough areas on the outskirts, like all major cities. Manchester on the other hand is infested with homeless people and wogs, and has ridiculously high drug crime.

Most of them have never left their home village, don't take them seriously.

Liverpool has won capital of culture, has the most art galleries and museums per person in the UK, a strong music scene and history, unique character, low crime rate, lots of open green space, and much lower overcrowding compared to most other cities.

You don't often see things like pic related near the centre of major UK cities. Parts of North Liverpool have sadly been disgustingly underfunded for decades (Anfield, Walton, Kirkdale), but South Liverpool particularly is a really nice place

Because they're old as fuck. Most stadiums in England started off as cricket grounds and were built up from there. While that was happening houses are built around the ground meaning they can very rarely be expanded or improved any further. There's no space, so most clubs have to make do with 80+ year old stadiums that are enclosed by estates.

Cricket is dying sadly, I still watch International cricket when it's on, but the working class just really doesn't follow it, especially in large cities.

When the redevelopment of Anfield Road is done the capacity will be 60k, and if/when Safe Standing comes in, it'll be ~67.5k. That is sufficient

I'm confused by my own nationality sometimes as well. I'm half English, half Northern Irish and have lived in England my whole life. Most of my family (Mums side, single parent) is based/was based in NI however so I've spent a fair amount of time there. I could classify as English/British/Irish/Northern Irish, mainly classify as British though since that seems to be the most correct. I stick out like a sore thumb sometimes cause I don't have the accent. Still get my yearly box of Tayto for christmas though.
