The Easter footballing weekend ends today with just 2 more rounds of EFL matches remaining after Monday's games.
What is becoming a right battle for second place in League 1 (with 4 clubs involved) leads the action as 4th placed Portsmouth host imminently homeless Coventry City, who could still make the play-offs with success at Fratton Park.
League 2 is then at the forefront as the second promotion from the division could all but be confirmed with David Flitcroft's Mansfield town travelling to Boundary Park, the home of the formerly-named "Paul Scholes's Oldham Athletic". The Stags will go 5 points clear of fourth if they win and Bury lose at home to Northampton Town.
A potential comedy classic ends the day's Football League action as absolute bottlejobs Leeds United could go into this evening's match against firmly midtable Brentford 3 points behind 2nd and 3 points ahead of 4th; after the disaster show at Elland Road on Good Friday which saw Marcelo Bielsa's side lose after opening the scoring for the first time this season, anything less than 3 points would surely be the end of any realistic automatic promotion ambition, and would also send Norwich City up if they've beaten Stoke City earlier.
All games in pic related are at 3:00pm unless stated. All televised games will be on Sky Sports Football, with Aston Villa v Millwall and Derby County v Queens Park Rangers on the red button.
If Orient beat Solihull and Salford lose against fellow money-pumpers AFC Fylde, they return to the Football League 2 years to the day they were relegated.
Ethan Martin
that's a big if fella
Anthony Rivera
Orient have the best away record in the division behind Solihull. It's not unreasonable. Just realised Fylde don't even have to beat Salford if Orient win.
up the fucking villa 10 on the bounce if we had deano all season we would have pissed the automatics
Robert Diaz
>Do Derby fans still seethe over that time we beat them in the playoff finals? A little, it was painful desu we were playing great stuff, didn't spend money and we lost to you lot who had 10 men and got a big ffp fine for that season too. We are more pissed off about the following 5 years of bad decisions and shithousery
Grayson James
Looking unstoppable at the moment, will be favourites to win the playoffs. Means they'll probably fuck up and Middlesbrough or Bristol City will sneak it.
Nicholas Scott
Have nothing against them, but would piss myself laughing if after this unbeaten run Villa lost to Leeds and Norwich and Boro and Bristol or Derby went unbeaten and knocked them out of the playoffs desu
Deano is a meme, his team's cant defend leads in big games. He's being carried by the best midfield in the Championship, his ability to actually set a team up is quite poor
Mason Ross
attack is the best form of defence
Samuel Turner
Not in the playoffs, when chance creation is quite limited
Adrian Wilson
We'll dab on them senpai don't worry
Christian Edwards
>chance creation is quite limited ummm not when deanos involved sweetie
Nah mate you're over the line. Just hope you want >us and not Leeds to join you.
Landon Nelson

Jose Moore

Yes them as well, although they're less important since we've a game in hand against them.
Hudson Hughes
Is Norwich going to be promoted or can they still fuck it up? I have never watched league footie, just here for Pukki.
Jaxon Scott
Hope George Long reads all this and has the game of his life just to shut people up
Isaac Morris
Can still happen but highly unlikely that it will.
Julian King
>tfw Oxford managed to save themselves from relegation >tfw having to play Stevens instead of Eastwood because he got sent off last match >tfw have half a team off due to suspensions lmao, at least >we are safe.
Nathan Robinson
>I have never watched league footie, just here for Pukki. based
Julian Smith
God lower league is so grim.
Christian Thompson
They could still fuck it up. But it’s unlikely
Isaac Stewart
What is THE match to watch today?
Jeremiah Powell
plastic cunt detected
Ian Torres
Anyone got a villa stream?
Samuel Ramirez
peterborough - sunderland
Anthony Long
excellent, thanks
Alexander Martin
Prob Bristol City vs Shef Wednesday since Bristol are fighting for a play-off spot. Shef United vs Hull too, because they're fighting for auto promotion spot with Leeds. So Leeds vs Brentford too.
Kevin Roberts
I support my nearest team. Cope all you like by calling me plastic. Your team is shit and your league is shit.
William Williams
Solihull Moors vs Leyton Orient unironically
Mason Mitchell
>Jonathan Obika gets injured for Oxford >Suddenly we start to improve Thank fuck. Worst signing we've ever made. Utterly unacceptable. He needs to be sold or released. He's beyond a joke. His goal record is literally one of the worst I've seen. Literally have no good strikers at this club.
Gavin Torres
>I support my nearest PL team. Fixed.
Jordan Gonzalez
Oh look, Two Clubs is here.
James Bell
Yup. Sup my dude.
Ian Brooks
And? Implying you wouldn’t want to be?
Brody Campbell
>replying to the 'you're plastic if you don't support your Division 7 team and expect to talk about it on Yea Forums' gimmick poster
>Its a Blues failing to beat relegation fodder to get pulled into a last day relegation battle again

Joseph Gomez
>unmolested

Asher Lee

Joshua Cox
The absolute state of HULL.
Nathaniel Butler

Lincoln Barnes
exactly why i'm tired of seeing them, west brom, boro, hull, and qpr in the premier league. having huddersfield has been bants desu, would like to see some new teams make it
Leeds being in PL would be bants with United and Liverpool but sadly it won't happen because >Lelds can't win playoffs to save their life.
Samuel Wright

i used to work with a londoner who was a leeds fan who was an INSUFFERABLE cunt. i hope their team crashes and burns just to make that miserable cuntrag depressed. i live to watch leeds burn
>solihull fans getting thrown out for throwing flares lmao
Bentley Adams
>boro down 3-0 >bristol down 2-0 >fat fwank still drawing against queer park rapers oh no no no
Aaron Green
>Whyte Hattrick Watch >us throw it all away. Winning with 10 men for 80% of the game would be top tier. Also Blunderland are gonna struggle to remain in the Play-Offs based on this shit.
>literally 3 shots on target and all scored >only 6 in total Shrewsbury were 14/4. That's fucking awful. Should have thrashed us. Whyte saved us. Mathematically can make Play-Off spots but requires us to win every remaining game and Doncaster to lose all of theirs. Still, Top 10 finish would be fucking amazing considering 10 matches ago we were in relegation spots.
Daniel Wood
>Sunderland v Portsmouth next week oh my days
Ayden Lopez
One loss (or two draws) and Sheff Utd can catch and overtake them (even if level due to better GD), but I can't see Leeds leapfrogging them as well
Both Leeds and Norwich have to face the most in form team right now (Villa) in their last two, whereas Blades have an easy run in
Jose Hall
banter final
Robert Powell
FUCK Portsmouth. Go Sunderland! Also fuck Swindon too.
Absolutely. I mean the championship have two European Cup winners but Leeds fo sho are bigger because of their three league titles!!!
Anthony Hernandez
>Shaun Antony Harvey (born 25 February 1970) is football executive. Harvey is the chief executive of the English Football League having formerly been the CEO of Leeds United, as well as a club director.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Jose Roberts
LEEDS, LEEDS ARE STAYING DOWN AGAIN
Noah Miller
If Leeds lose today then Norwich get promoted automatically if they can get 1 point out of 2 games right?
Carter Carter
muh bucket
Jace Bailey
I'm a Leeds fan and the thought of any former club exec being put in charge of anything important worries me
Ethan Martin
lmao they actually think like this. villa are bigger than them, theyre not too big for the league anymore. they were when they went down but its been near 20 years now
WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE
they're going to get tore apart in the playoffs lmao brentford don't even have anything to play for
Alexander Taylor
So let me get this straight... Leeds now needs to win both of its last two games and Norwich needs to lose its games... and it's still not enough because of Norwich's superior GD?
On 6 July 2016, Bielsa was appointed manager of Italian Serie A club Lazio. However, just two days later, on 8 July, Bielsa quit as the club's manager, prompting Lazio to issue legal action against Bielsa for breach of contract, suing him for €50 million.
On 2 May 2014, Marseille president Vincent Labrune announced the hiring of Bielsa.[31] He led them to the symbolic title of "autumn champions" after they beat Lille OSC on Matchday 19 (on 21 December 2014) of the 2014–15 Ligue 1 season before they faded to finish fourth in Ligue 1 at the end of the season.[32] On 8 August 2015, Bielsa announced his resignation as the result of conflicts with the club's management.[33]

Elijah Reed
Who do you support now? Just follow Arsenal if you must unless you talk to people about your Champ or L1 team or L2.
Fucking lel. I am in a similar position, dad supported Arsenal, parents were from London. Supported Arsenal to have something to chat to about with my dad. Supported local club because they're my local club (league) but nobody cares about them so, eh. I support my local local club but even our town newspaper doesn't give a shit.
Noah Smith
>Sneeds United
Jose Butler
>Leleeds
Josiah Long
Leeds vs Villa how bad will it be
Landon Jackson
Fucking hell lads. I cannot believe we are basically one game from the Premier League. Chris Wilder is a fucking god.
Ayden Davis

Brayden Powell
sheff utd to beat sunderlands lowest ever points total next season, gonna put a tenner on it
Noah Cox
My father has supported Liverpool since the 70s, so at I wasn't given much of a choice when I was born. I remember getting my first Liverpool shirt at the age of two, so my father just coldly decided that you support Liverpool now. I don't even dare to think what would have happened if during puberty I had started to gloryhunt Man U, for example.
My actual supporterhood started five or six years ago. As I said, Liverpool had already been my favorite ever since I was a little boy, but it was not the same as it is today. Supporting has turned in to love and passion. Despite my young age I've been able to follow the club for a long time now, but over the years my interest and love towards the club only keeps getting stronger. You can say that Liverpool is a big part of my life without which I can't and don't want to live.
Alexander Russell
Right, time for me to fuck off back to /y/ lads, see ya
Nathan Harris
cringe support your local team
James Carter
Great thread again lads, see you whenever.
Brayden Brown
Gonna miss the comfy efl threads, prem game threads are shite.
